Ryobi 18V One+ 18GA Brad Nailer - Tool Only

Install skirting boards, window trims and architraves with the RYOBI 18V 18GA Brad Nailer. Harnessing RYOBI’s Airstrike technology, this unit doesn’t need an air compressor, gas cartridge or air hose for operation. Load up the 105-capacity magazine to fire 15mm-50mm 18-gauge nails, that are barely visible when used in softwoods, like pine. The compact head and nozzle make it easier to see where you’re firing in tight and confined areas. The LED light also helps to illuminate work pieces for enhanced visibility. Use the air pressure dial to make quick performance adjustments. Change the depth of firing with the tool-free depth adjustment. The jam latch release also provides a quick and easy solution for resolving jams. Power this unit with any battery from the RYOBI 18V ONE+ battery range.

When you pick up this nailer, you immediately feel that it's going to be of good quality. It has a heft that gives you confidence that it won't break anytime soon, without it being too cumbersome. The feel of it in the hand is good, with it being quite comfortable to use. The only small thing, is that there is a small button under the main trigger that needs to be depressed with your middle finger, before the gun can be fired. To start with, this can feel a little awkward, but seems to be something that you get used to the more you use it. The only small thing, is that there is a small button under the main trigger that needs to be depressed with your middle finger, before the gun can be fired. To start with, this can feel a little awkward, but seems to be something that you get used to the more you use it. When firing, the gun gives a solid thwack and won't fire until the tip is pressed correctly against a piece of wood. I have run a few lines of nails through the gun and haven't had a misfire or jam. If it should jam, it is easy to clear by lifting the large grey lever at the front of the nailer which releases the front of the firing chamber so the nail can be cleared. The gun also stops firing when there is only a couple of nails left, which I guess also helps to prevent jams. Changing the nails is very easy simply by pressing a button at the bottom of the cartridge and sliding a door down. The last few nails I take out and the new ones just slide in and the door slides shut and is finished with a quick jab with the heel of the hand to get it to click shut. This process feels solid and secure. The gun comes with a spare no-mark pad which can be stored on the body of the nailer. The nailgun also has a LED which lights the area that you are going to put a nail into. This model only had one LED while I think the older model had two. For me, this isn't a real issue. I also found that the LED comes on when the gun is ready to be fired which I found quite handy. The only thing I have found however, is that if you are in a slightly darkened environment, you can easily see when the LED is on, and so know you have everything pressed and positioned, ready for the gun to fire. However, in bright daylight, the LED is difficult to see and the only way you know if the gun is right to fire, is to press the trigger and find out. A small LED on the top of the body to signify that the gun is right to fire, in my opinion would be a good thing to have. The kick back from the gun is fairly minor and you don't even really notice it after a while. Adjusting the depth that the nail will be driven is pretty straight forward. There is a large rotating lever at the back and a small knurled rotating knob at the front of the nailer to do this. Using both in combination allows you to get just the right nail depth to suit your needs. Overall, it seems like a good quality tool which should serve my needs for many years to come. Definitely a recommended buy.

This is a replacement for one that stopped working. Having my tools registered made the warranty process so easy. Changed out for a new one with no fuss. The Nailer works great and being cordless is so much more useable

Nailed it!!
14 January 2023

Finding another tool to add to my Ryobi collection can be difficult. An opportunity arose for my wife as a Christmas present to get the Brad Nailer as I had fencing repairs to carry out over the Christmas break. What a time saver!!!! Probably went a little crazy with the number of nails I used but the ease at setting the depth of piercing and impact strength was a breeze. Absolutely worth the investment!!

Should’ve bought this little ripper in the first place
27 May 2023

After buying an ozito nail gun (that latest only 5 weeks before it fell apart) I spent an extra $150 to this ryobi. I am regretful that I didn’t purchase this machine in the first place. It is hands up 100% better than the ozito. It flushes the nails in beautifully (no need to hammer after each one as I did the ozito). Again regretful that I didn’t purchase this ryobi in the first place as my wood slat feature wall looks second rate to the nails half bent and hammered in using the ozito for half the job already, this ryobi nail gun is more than worth every cent

Super Handy!
21 December 2022

Very good quality and standard of finish, perfect for small trims or furniture. Leaves little to no mark behind. It is reasonably heavy depending on which battery you use but far more versatile without needing an air compressor.

Super stoked
8 March 2023

I purchased this nail gun to make a set of space saving stairs. I was using 19mm marine grade plywood and the tool easily punch a nail through two pieces. Made the job so much easier and I am super stoked with the end result.

Works like a dream.
20 April 2023

I have bought a number of Ryobi products and find them reliable and affordable. I have seen many possible YouTube reviews of this product and so bought one. It works very well and was easy to assemble. The weight is not an issue and was worth the purchase. I have used it a few times and it worked like a dream. I will gladly buy the frame nailer when it arrives.

good one

this 18 guage brad nailer is light, easy to see, grab and operate. I have used others with limited mechanical success and questionable warranty, but I have 6 years of confidence in the Ryobi warranty so no worries there . I am happy with the purchase and although I have a crook arm I can still work fast and easy.
