Already had the previous version of the caulking tool, had seen this new Gen 2 version advertised around and took the plunge to purchase a second caulking gun, cause as you know, more efficient to apply the sealant that way haha. Anyway, comparing them both I found the new tool to be better balanced, quieter, more powerful and better constructed, I feel the locking switch might get some sealant in it with time, but for now i've been fairly clean with it and haven't gotten any in the trigger or switch. Also the barrel holds the end of the tube better so as to not try escape upon initial plunge.

Having not having the strength I used to have I find this so easy and quick to use . 10/10 for this tool . Makes the job so much effortless than before and more accurate with the product I’m using at the time as I’m only using 1 hand on the trigger rather than 2 trying to push the silicone out of tube.

I brought this item only few weeks ago it much better than the older model can unscrew old tube out by hand and its a bit slimline than the old ones I do use this caulking gun a lot

Great device, like the speed control depending on size of area your working on, gets a little heavy with the 6hr battery after awhile if alot of caulking required. Love the even constant flow.
Once you have used your new Ryobi 18V ONE+ Caulking Gun, you will throw away your old manual gun and never look back. No more cramping in the middle of the bead, no more looking how big the job is, no more fat and skinny beads because you can't maintain even squeeze pressure. Great tool! Makes caulking done easily! Usually caulking can be difficult most of the time but this makes it done with ease!
Was very skeptical about this before purchasing but now i love this tool. When used on the low settings it lays a beautiful bead of caulk and very easy to control.
Awesome but if kit. Only gripe, it could have a slower setting for better control on smaller jobs. Just have to up my skill level.
Took a little while to get used to the flow from the tool but it is easy to use. Backing off on the pressure when releasing the trigger is very helpful.
Just bought this tool. my goal is to use it with adhesive tubes. PL Premiun. The tube does fit in the end part. It does not sit in the circle end. Try to use it but the gap of the tube and the frame make this tool unusablle.
