I use this primarily for topping off car and truck tires but have used it for a large range of carts and even topping off a 80 gallon holding tank for an irrigation system. It works great. Not very loud and pretty fast. Hose union at pump gets hot after about four car tires but cools quickly. Never filled more than four at one setting but it barely discharged the battery. Recharged to full in about five minutes. I have a large shop compressor but away from the shop this thing is perfect. Small size makes it easy to store. I preset the pressure at one pound higher than I need and when it automatically shuts off it usually dead on the money. Got it on sale at HD and was so inexpensive I had doubts but it is very good for what I needed. Recommend highly

I use the tire inflator to air up my wheelchair tires (kind of like a bicycle tire) to 130 psi. The inflator itself is very quite as compared to my large air compressor and could easily, quickly, air up my tires. However, the air chuck is less than desirable. It might work good for low pressure tires, but it looses too much air on high pressure tires when removing it. Also, it’s made in such a way as it’s not easy to replace with a better air chuck. It would have been nice if it was made like most air compressors where the user could easily change it to something that works better for their needs. Overall, I’m happy with the inflator, but I don’t like the air chuck.

A major improvement over Ryobi's older hand-held battery inflaters. The ability to set and forget a pressure limit makes this particularly good for keeping auto tires at the right pressure. My only complaint is that when the device shuts off, the pressure reading remains as not the tire pressure but the set pressure. since there is a 2-1/2 PSI differential (which one has to add to the set point), to measure the actual pressure, one has to detach the inflator hose and reconnect it to read actual tire pressure. Only a minor issue, since once aware of the differential, the machine is very reliable.It is really pretty fast, as well. Price point means it is an affordable item to carry in one's car. I tend to drive older vehicles, and even with high end tires, find that pressure sometimes needs to be adjusted. Proper pressure means longer tread life and better gas milage.

Good choice for cars and presta valve bikes

For many years I used a prior model of Ryobi inflator. It finally stopped working and I bought this as a replacement. The new model is more compact, lighter in weight, and less noisy than the old model. Inside a garage it is still loud, but an improvement over the earlier version. Outside the noise level is quite acceptable. PLUS: it works! Inflates well, shuts off automatically (particularly important for bike tires), and the pressure gauge is accurate.

Great Little Unit

Took a chance on this unit as it was on sale. Tired of pumping up motorcycle, quad, dirt bike and pedal bike tires with a manual pump. This thing works great. Attach to the tire, set the PSI, then hit the on button and it does the rest. Turns off when hits the set PSI. Accurate to within 1 PSI. Tried it out on my truck and travel trailer tires next. Again worked great. Batterie lasts long enough to top off 2 tires at 36 PSI or less no problem. Trailer tires are 51 PSI and were down to 20 PSI for sitting a long time and unit could only do one tire fully and the second to only 37 PSI before running out of juice. Air hose gets quite hot where it connects to the pump is only issue after use, but thats minor IMO.

Great Portable Inflator

I've had this product about a month now and absolutely love it. I put a 2Ah battery in it and was able to top off 2 tires on my truck (about 7-8 PSI each) and take 3 tires on my mom's vehicle from 25 to 38 PSI. The battery died on the 4th tire, only making it to 34 PSI. That was a total of 6 tires on one 2Ah battery. It takes about 3:30 minutes to get a tire from 25 to 38. I did notice that when you set the pressure on the LED screen it is actually 2 PSI lower. (Setting to 40 gets you to about 38. At least that's the way mine worked) That is no big issue I just set it for 2 PSI more. The unit itself does stay cool but the hose does get very warm where it come out of the unit. Super happy i got this. Usually use a cheap 12v source air pump that takes minutes for a few pounds and last time for 3 lbs in 3 tires the 12v contacts were soo hot i couldnt touch them. I was worried about popping my fuse from heating the circuit. Now, it takes seconds to put in a few pounds. Not to mention the pressure is as accurate as the guage I have. Very impressed with this little guy. Oh and used basically no power from a 4 ah 4 bars start 4 bars finished. Pumped about 15 lbs overall all above 30 lbs.

Once you realize that difference, you can knowingly set the desired pressure 2psi above where you want it to get to. Your difference may not be the same as mine, so you'll have to determine that by trial and error.
