Ryobi 36V 46cm 6.0Ah Brushless Cordless Lawn Mower Kit

The RYOBI 36V Brushless 46cm Lawn Mower is a powerful gardening tool for taking on medium to large gardens. This kit also comprises a 36V 6.0Ah Battery and 36V 4A Fast Charger. The inclusion of a new 36V brushless motor, gives this Cordless Mower a 25% increase in power compared to the previous 36V model (RLM36X46S52). With a generous 46cm wide cutting path, you can cover more ground faster. Achieve the perfect grass length by using the integrated one-touch height adjustment with 10 height settings ranging from 25-100mm. The Mower deck is rigid yet lightweight, making this model easier to push around the yard. When you’re done mowing for the day, this model can be stored vertically and has a catcher holder to help save space in the shed or garage. A spare storage port provides space for an extra 36V battery, allowing it to be swapped out on the go for additional power and runtime. The included 36V 6.0Ah Battery features a redesigned next-gen cell frame and provides 54 minutes of no-load runtime. The 36V 4A Fast Charger can charge all RYOBI 36V batteries quickly, which comes in handy when you need to power additional 36V gardening tools.

Don't buy this mower, instead buy the next option up - the R36XLMW16

I bought this mower initially, only to find that it was far inferior to the next model up. In fact, they had incorrectly advertised the R36LM16 with many of the attributes of the far better R36XLMW16.The R36XLMW16 is so much better. For an extra $70 you get Dual 36V battery option which delivers SMART BOOST performance. The inferior R36LM16 has 2 battery bays but the second can't be used to power the mower, only to carry a spare. The R36XLMW16 also has a battery power gauge on the mower handle so you can see how much gas is available in both batteries. And at a touch of a switch you can change the power mode between 3 cutting modes – ECO, SMART and POWER.

Good value for a moderate size city lawn.

Just purchased after checking out several different brands and models. This model doesn't have a charge level indicator on the handle. There is a charge level indicatior on the battery. Auto manages motor power when you hit higher grass so very similar to the next price up model without the 2 battery boost power mode. Includes the same 6amp/hr battery and fast charger. I have about 250m2 of lawn which had 2 weeks of dense NZ Waikato spring growth, 4 near full catchers of lush grass. It did a really good job. Much lighter than my old petrol mower so it didn't crush the grass down in the wheel tracks. When done it had over 1/2 battery capacity left. About 25 mins to fully recharge the battery.Happy to retire the old petrol mower. I'll be interested to see how it ... MoreJust purchased after checking out several different brands and models. Just bought this on the weekend. Battery took about 5 hours to charge. Super easy to get started right away. My Sir Walter baffalo lawn is about 80m2 and it had not been mowed for 6 weeks. It finished the lawn easily and only consumed half the battery. The R36LMW16 is quiet, powerful, and sturdy. It’s heavier than the 18V models but the power felt similar to my old petrol mower. Definitely recommend it.

Hight Adjustment Issues
16 February 2023

The mower works well in general. The hight adjuster is the worst design. The pin by the side wheel only fits half way in the grooves. Once you hit longer grass patches that requires more pushing force, the hight adjustment slides down by itself. Sending it in for warranty will cost me a couple of mower rentals for the time it goes in. Not really winning :(

Horrible Lawn Mower
11 June 2022

I generally don't write reviews but felt compelled in this instance. First up the, design of the mowers catcher and feed system to the bag doesn't function and you end up with a heap of clippings left on the lawn. I've got a 6a and 4a battery and it struggles to cut a nz lawn in the winter. Over 50m2 I stopped over 20 times unblocking and restarting. It's a stretch calling this a lawn mower. Would actively discourage anyone for looking at purchasing. Unfortunately will have to pay for a petrol to get the job done.

No thank you
16 December 2022

This is the first electric mower I have purchased as all previous have been 2 stroke. What attracted me to this mower was the convenience of pushing the button and start mowing. That’s about where the pros stop. I will be returning the mower as it isn’t up for the job and would definitely not recommend it to anyone. AlthoughI have an average size backyard it takes at least 3 batteries to complete the job when you do the math for including the 2 extra batteries it works out to be a very expensive mower. It is underpowered and has difficulty putting the cuttings in the collector even when the grass is dry. Forget about mowing after it has rained it will just not work.Very disappointed.

Poor battery performance
11 February 2023

I purchased the Ryobi mower this morning Saturday and will be returning it to Bunnings on Monday. I am very disappointed with the performance of the mower and battery. The mower will run for 5-10 minutes and will stop with the battery overheating - the battery is hot to hold. The battery was fully charged prior to use. In the last 10 hours I have only been able to operate the mower for 20 minutes. For the short period of time the mower worked I was satisfied with its performance.

Throw away the old petrol mower!
26 March 2023

Tired of wasting time fixing and maintaining petrol powered mowers. I’ve always said, anything that cuts grass is evil. Electric mowers like this one eliminates the need to muck around with primitive petrol powered mowers. The automatic load sensing feature is great and the mower does its job with ease. Although our lawn is only around 50 square metres, the battery was still half full so hoping to get two mows on one charge. The mulching plug works very well, leaving minimal clippings laying around afterwards. (Kykuya grass) Ig you want a mower that matches petrol power, I can recommend this one for sure.

Utter trash
25 April 2023

Single handedly the worst lawnmower I have ever seen. It is gutless and runs out of power after twenty minutes of use. The additional batteries cost 50% of the units total cost. The machine also stops periodically when it detects 'overload'. I didn't think running over a flower was deemed as a stressful task, yet, it is.

very pleased with the machine's performance and ease of use at this stage, no assembly required. powerful motor and completes the job with a lot of battery to spare. the mow and mulch option is excellent and well worth it if you can't easily dispose of the grass, not available on the cheaper models.Haven't used the grass collector basket yet.
