I found the trim router very easy to use and it was easy to operate with one hand, it had plenty of power and good speed control. The only negatives that I felt should be mentioned is the view of the cutting tool while operating could be better as in some routing it is not easy to see where you are cutting. I think it would be good if it cane with a clear base plate that allowed you to see your work. Over all a great tool that come in a nice tidy bag.

The Trimer Router is a little ripper light weight easy to assemble operate & very manoeuvable as I bought it to cutout hinge recesses in our fancy door then it worked great with cutting the door lock. It works perfectly with the Ryobi hinge guide where it comes with all the tools for cutting out and a drill centring bit. I would highly recommend them both

I bought this tool recently. I began to use it for about 6 minutes for a total of three times (2 minutes intervals). The tool was powerful but unfortunately there was something definitely wrong about this particular item. It began to become difficult to turn off with the vibrations being difficult to control. At the time I was working on a scissor lift and the power had to be turned off at another source. This unfortunate as I have had previously a good experience with this particular brand.

I've had this for a few jobs now and will be returning it. The bit binds in the collet so a screwdriver is needed to open the collet to remove it. This happened from day 1. I took it back to the store and they replaced the collet, but the problem keeps occurring. I won't be replacing it with another Ryobi.
I have a Ryobi plunge router but needed something quick and easy to setup and use. This was it. Have given it a test run and it works superbly. Plenty of power and rpm's to do any job I might throw at it. Looking forward to using it on my next DIY.
I've had it mounted in a table router since I bought it, and works great. I just wish it was designed like the cordless version. The adjustment on the cordless is so much better. But still, I would buy this one again.
A tried and true design with appropriate updates on previous versions. Suitable for smaller tasks e.g. hinge reabate, trimming etc. Numeral markings could do with contrast marking. I purchased this to replace previous 10 year old unit and not disappointed. On off switch a big improvement.
The router itself has plenty of power and changing bits is comparatively easy however the tool is let down by the plastic shroud which is easily breakable and makes depth adjustment painful. Fine for light DIY use but be very careful of the clear plastic shroud.
I have two large routers but for a lot of my DIY projects they are more cumbersome and over the top so far as working with them. This small plunge router (trimmer) has given me a new lease on adding more detail to my finished projects.
A very handy piece of kit.My very first router bought to make grooves for T Tracks in my work bench. I decided on this instead of a plunge router purely as this is a cheaper option. I especially liked the depth gauge.
