Saw this drill at Bunnings for $19. Couldn’t pass up on that bargain. Great drill for the price and is a good drill for my needs
Needed a strong drill to put extra drainage holes in large ceramic pots and this has done the job easily, very impressed. look forward to using it for future projects.
Bought this impact drill to drill holes on my brick wall to install security camera. It does the job perfectly. Especially I score this on clearance price too :)
Stripped out the internal gears after a moderate amount of use - drilled a few 1.5 inch holes through 4x2 . I got a replacement. Used it briefly. Pulled it out of the box a year later to use it, the chuck was frozen and I could not loosen or tighten it. ended up destroying the chuck using plumbing grips to try and shift it.
Almost impossible to tighten the chuck properly and the drill bit becomes loose during drilling. Once tightened almost impossible to remove drill bit. Chuck broke after 2 months of minimal use.I am starting to realise that Ryobi power tools are poorly made.
Beinging a corded drill you really notice the extra power over battery units.This is good value and works well.The only down side is the keyless chuck is not as grippy as my cordless units.Requires a considerable amount of force to stop the bit from slipping.Overall it is pretty good
I had to pop to B&Q half way through a job because my other drill packed up. I was installing blinds in my new house which involved drilling into concrete lintels which were tougher than I expected. I always like to go for branded tools and after my mate showing off his Ryobi cordless collection, I decided to try this one out. It worked through the concrete effortlessly and helped get the job done quickly. I think I'm going to have to buy some of their cordless tools now :-)
