The R18PDBL-0 is perfect for drilling into wood, steel, masonry and fastening applications. The new Brushless motor is electronically-controlled for maximum efficency and produces up to 40% more run-time and 20% more power than traditional brushed drills. E-Torque control system allows you to limit the power of the drill to avoid driving screws too far into the work piece or stripping screw heads. This tool is part of Ryobis ONE+ range so it will run on any ONE+ battery giving you the ability to expand your tool collection without the added expense of different batteries and chargers.

I got this drill as a set and was immediately impressed with the high quality and performance of the drill. A couple of my old termer drills died so bought a different one and its not as good as this model. So I bought another of this type!

I’ve had this now for 3 months and it’s performed exceptionally well - way better than my old Ryobi one+ drill

Great drill variable power and hammer action for the toughest concrete window heads.. not tied by a cOrd and the work area illuminated by a bright led light.Only drawback is the weight when used with the 50 amp battery. But the battery works with other 18V+ accessories such as lawnmower and simmer!
It's expensive but if you consider that the batteries are £98 & charger is £37, you get an excellent drill & carrying case free. I've driven loads of screws with it & drilled a few holes through brick so far & the first battery I've used is still showing full charge. It's light & compact as well. I bought it to replace my old screaming Ryobi & I'm very pleased with it.
When i bought this product i was hoping it was going to last longer than 6 months but i thought wrong. It worked fine good strong drill and good build on the outside. i used it along side with my milwaukee m18 and although its nearly 3 times the price they seemed to be on the same level until i noticed it was not engaging some gears straight away and then the chuck had ceased solid cant tighten or loosen no idea what kind of warranty this has but its going straight in the bin luckily i can use the batteries on the grinder i bought. overall if your a diy beast then this for you but if your thinking about this for your profession then dont spend abit more and buy a milwaukee.
Much better build quality than all my other Ryobi OnePlus tools. I really like the "intelligent" torque feature which applies a consistent amount of torque and cuts the power at that point. This caught me by surprise at first but now I've got used to it, it's a gives you better control over the drill.
Compact yet powerful. Replacing my 18v ancient and dead Hitachi cordless, and compares well against that in performance and hopefully quality. I have many Ryobi 18v tools, and all are robust and reliable, so I cannot see this one been any different....
I have a collection of Ryobi one-plus tools covering most of the range. I am both a professional tool user and multi skilled. This is my first experience of brushless battery tools and this was bought as a replacement for a very early (blue) one-plus drill which had eventually failed. The brushless tool is lighter and better balanced than either model of the old blue tools I have or the later green one which this is similar in function to. The torque control is by cutting the power which must save battery and, more importantly, avoids the horrible noise of the slipping clutch of the mechanical limiter. The only negative point is the high pitched whistle from the electronics which is noticeable but not obtrusive. The speed control, hammer action, and torque ... MoreI have a collection of Ryobi one-plus tools covering most of the range. I am both a professional tool user and multi skilled. In the few weeks I have owned and operated this drill it has become a real favorite.
Having owned almost all the ryobi one plus range of drills over the years I have always been looking for a successor to the 3-speed version from the last blue series for some time, however I have been put off this new brushless drill by the high retail price. Thanks to ebay and a substantial discount I took the plunge and have to admit I have been very impressed so far. I have seen brushless motors take over the high end of model cars and boats so was interested to see how this translated to power tools. The ruggedness and power for such a light weight tool make this easily the best multi-purpose drill in the range and the performance is very close to a mains powered tool. The ruggedness and power for such a light weight tool make this easily the best multi-purpose drill in the range and the performance is very close to a mains powered tool. The electronic clutch is a little unnerving at first but once you get used to the drill just stopping rather than clicking at the required torque its a much quieter and more accurate system. Overall when used in conjunction with a 4ah lithium battery this performs better than any Ryobi (or for that matter other manufacturers) 18v drill I have ever used.
