I bought a Nespresso Creatista Plus coffee machine in 2021. We have looked after it meticulously, owing to it costing nearly £400! Just after 2 years of use, it has stopped working. It will not suck water from the reservoir. I called John Lewis and Nespresso, and both said because the guarantee was 2 years, they cannot do anything. This is ridiculous and absurd! How can a coffee machine worth £400 suddenly stop working after 2 years and the response from the seller and company be so corporate and ill thought. Times are hard for everyone, and their lack of effort to help/rectify baffles me.I would not advise anyone to purchase a Nespresso machine, and have also strongly advised family and friends.

I'll keep it short. Don't buy this.I have had three (not my choice, two had to be returned to Nespresso, whose service department incidentally are inept). They make a great Nespresso coffee- as does every Nespresso machine - but the milk settings/steam wand are pitiful. At best it squirts cold water into the milk, at best gives low quantities of watery froth. Tried all the settings, all types of milk. Nothing. One of the machines returned was due to a failed pump, so thought it was that, but no. They have all been bad.Save your money if you're in the market for a pod based coffee - buy a base Nespresso machine and an Aeroccino frother.

Been looking for a replacement nespresso capsule machine for a while and after reading reviews went for the Sage. It doesn't disappoint. I've had two citz and milk machines where both the milk component element packed up. The Sage is really easy to use with the digital screen, the milk settings are superb and great choice of coffee sizes. I'm a cortado drinker myself and this machine makes the perfect barista style cuppa. I read reviews about the milk not getting hot, ignore those, the highest setting is practically boiling hot if you want it!! Worth the time to try different settings to get just the right temperature and froth. The milk wand is also self cleaning into the tray beneath, easy to pull out and empty. Love the little push out tray for a smaller cup. ... MoreBeen looking for a replacement nespresso capsule machine for a while and after reading reviews went for the Sage. It doesn't disappoint. I have given it 4 stars as it would be nice to make the coffee and milk at the same time, the coffee has to stand whilst you do the milk second. The machine above this one does that but much more expensive. Impressed with the box of coffee capsules that came with it and the instruction book is easy to follow. So far so good and hoping it lasts longer than my previous, time will tell.

I bought this having read about the problems with the wand. I mistakenly assumed that perhaps people weren't regularly cleaning the wand after use. I regularly descale the machine, clean the wand each evening, often heat and froth water to clean the wand and have even bought a new steam wand tip. The machine now will not heat or froth properly after a year and a bit of use. Even though it has a two year warranty, you have to pay £80 to get it repaired. I'd rather put that towards a reliable machine. The coffee that it makes is consistently good, but we bought this as we like milky coffee. Rather disappointing and as it cost a lot, feels like we wasted a lot of money, especially as we gave away our old machine that made great coffee but didn't have a milk feature!
I'm on my second one of these. First developed a water leak within 18 months. Much to-ing and fro-ing ensued with Nespresso involving the machine going to their service department 3 times and coming back with the exact same problem each time. Eventually they agreed to swap it. Fingers crossed so far.The steam wand on neither machine worked from day one, so I've given up on that. Neither heats nor froths the milk, just sputters water into it. Which makes the fancy coffee selection menu redundant. The saving grace is that it does make a good consistent coffee with next to no heat up time.Would I buy another, no. However there are no other Nespresso machines that offer (hypothetically) properly steamed milk, just whisked.
We purchased this to replace a french press and be able to make things like a latte at home. For those purposes this functions really well. The coffee tastes nice, and it uses more generic capsules rather than the nespresso specific ones. Which helps find a flavor you like. The interface is easy to use and setup was a breeze. The only downsides I can see is the funnel for steaming the milk is a bit wobbly, and I noticed this in the store. Additionally the space for a coffee cup is pretty small when making a latte. But even with our larger cups I can fit it with the milk jug. Just something to be aware of. It looks good, makes good coffee and so far is working well.
Love the retro styling and chrome finish of this machine. It's easy to use. From set up to first coffee was a breeze. I prefer stronger flat whites and the Creatista Plus does a perfect job, offering options to alter the level of foam, volume of coffee / hot water and water temperature adjustment - which you can set for future use.I also own and use a Creatista Pro (slightly larger machine which foams the milk and pours the coffee simultaneously) TBH: the short extra waiting time using this machine instead is not an issue. We pour into thermal glasses / tumblers anyway, so the coffee remains perfectly warm.I've read comments by others about the milk wand getting blocked on the Plus and Pro machines. If you're "sensible" - wipe it immediately afterwards & clean it in line with the instructions (I do this every three - four days... it's really no hassle and takes 5 minutes literally!) then you shouldn't have any issues. We only use "filtered" milk (full and semi) which may be another reason for not encountering issues. In any case: we find that filtered milk has a smoother foam texture & better taste - especially for flat whites. In summary: the Sage is hard to fault. Easy to use, well made, makes great coffee in a variety of ways and looks great in the kitchen.
The Sage Creatista Plus is a replacement for my 9 year old Delongi Lattissima Pro which started leaking. The new machine has the ability to adjust the milk temperature which means I now can produce hotter latte drinks, which I prefer. The Sage also produces a thicker crema than my old machine. However the Sage machine requires more cleaning as the milk jug needs to be washed after every use and unlike my old machine, none of the parts are dishwasher safe, hence it loses one star for this.Overall, I prefer the Sage machine for the better quality and temperature for latte drinks. I just hope it proves as reliable as my old machine.
I'd enjoyed using a simple Krupps Nespresso machine for a couple of years but it was a very basic machine and a friend has a very complicated Sage machine which grinds coffee beans into espress powder but he has to then tamp and prepare the machine and then steam by hand using the steamer spout for every cup so two or three lattes takes about fifteen minutes. Fantastic coffee but very labour intensive. We'd visited friends who have a Sage Creatista Pro and it was so simple to use yet very adaptable for a range of espressos, americanos, cafe lattes, cappuccinos or any programmable variable in between.I liked the 2 button operation and auto milk steamer.Got the machine last week and it is everything I'd hoped for.The espresso is a short one because it uses ... MoreI'd enjoyed using a simple Krupps Nespresso machine for a couple of years but it was a very basic machine and a friend has a very complicated Sage machine which grinds coffee beans into espress powder but he has to then tamp and prepare the machine and then steam by hand using the steamer spout for every cup so two or three lattes takes about fifteen minutes. I've had this coffee machine for a good few months now so have had the chance to properly test it. Overall I think it is a fantastic machine with lots of cool features including a digital display screen. It's incredibly easy to use, takes seconds to switch on and heats milk very quickly. You can personalise your coffees and it remembers your settings so for example I like a Latte with extra hot milk, but my partner likes a Cappuccino with hot milk and it remembers it so you don't have to change it each time.I also really like the look of this machine, it looks really smart in the stainless steel and would go with any decor - people always comment on it when they come round! 10/10 would recommend - Couldn't fault it!
