I purchased my Salomon - SpeedCross 3 shoes 3 months ago. I walk an average of 3 miles a day and these shoes feel comfortable. Often I get inquiries from others wanting to know where to buy them. I enjoy the Salomon Brand so much I have 3 pair. (Speed Cross 5 GTX and Xt6 Gore-Tex). I film outdoors a lot and these shoes always stand up to wet weather conditions. Highly recommend.

I always purchase shoes and run them through three stages. Stage 1 is work (school) shoes. Stage 2 is hiking, running, activity shoes. Stage 3 is kick around, junky shoes. These shoes look awesome. They seem really durable. The tread is amazing. The only downside is that it feels like they run a little narrow compared to prior pairs of Salomons I have purchased. (I have bought dozens of pairs.)

First of the bat... This is my first pair of Salomons and this is an incredible shoe with superior comfort for outdoor hiking. The primary dislike I have in this shoe is the sole material, especially the lugs. After a month of on-and-off hiking and light trail-running, the lugs on the sole wore out within 5 days of outdoor activity on not so rocky trails and terrain. 98% of the lugs have about only a 1mm till they completely wear out. I think the lugs on my pair will last for maybe 1 or 2 more runs. But afterwards, I think they will be completely flat; which is leaving me a bitter taste with the brand and to be honest: I am not sure if I should invest into another pair after this experience.

I stand all day and these shoes stack up. I have walked for miles and this brand of shoe always wins for me. I am new the speedcross family (I have tried various others over the last 10 years) and I am a fan. I am glad I gave these a go. For the women out there that have larger feet like mine, always check out the mens shoes. Sadly, these guy have a "pink" tas too :-|
I’m a huge Speedcross fan. I’ve owned at least 10 pairs. I love the snug fit. Love the laces. Love some of the color patterns. I was waiting for some new colors to drop and as soon as I saw these I bought them.Great shoes but if you run on road or concrete much, the soles wear down pretty quickly. I know they’re trail shoes so I shouldn’t complain about that but that’s the inly thing I can find wrong with them.
The grip on these is amazing. I'm from the PNW, it rains a large part of the year here and these have yet to fail me. I use them for high elevation hikes - they are quite flexible, as opposed to traditional hiking boots, all the while still providing a good amount of ankle support. They clean up pretty well after muddy or dusty trails, which is a big plus for me. All around a great shoe, have yet to find anything they can improve on.
I purchased my first pair of Cross 3's 9 years ago when I started Spartan/Tough Mudder/Rugged Maniac racing. This is the only shoe that my son and I wear when doing OCR races. I purchased my second pair 8 years ago due to running multiple races on weekends. Both pair are still in very good shape. I purchased my new Cross 3's for upcoming Savage and Tough Mudder races. This is the BEST and only show I will wear for racing and hiking.
I've worn (3) different colors of SpeedCross 3 for 5-6 years. They are my GO-TO shoes for just about every occasion. The Grey-Orange model is my favorite for yard work, the Yellow-Black and White-Black models are worn for my civilized mode. TRUE comfort and I don't have to lace them up, grab the tab and pull! People keep asking what brand shoes are you wearing, I must be doing something right?
Salomon SpeedCross are very comfort, the arch support is very supportive; but even with that said.. still wear out my shoes on a slant, because my ankles roll that causes the heel of Any shoe I wear everyday. I know of others who are flat foot and have to walk and stand most of the day in their profession say, they like the support of the Speedcross, the Ultra 360 edge and the Forces. I also USE TO LIKE the Colors the Speedcross's come in, but lately I've noticed that the colors are changing for the worst and more ridiculous combinations of color because of the increase of young consumers. I liked Salomon' products when it forced on the 'Healthy' professional outdoors activities, like hiking, snowboarding, skiing, trail running, cross-country skiing and road running.... Not street styling. Oh yeah, last thought the traction of the bottom of the soles are slippy when just walking on linoleum tile type floors, like indoor basketball courts, etc. The bottoms of the soles need to be scored for better traction. But other than that Salomon' shoes are my favorite everyday shoe.
My son has these shoes and they were great for a couple of months, but then they began to make a really loud noise. When he'd walk. We wanted to find a resolution to it or possibly get a replacement but Solomon did not want to warranty it. They said this is the way they work. So as a result we will never be buying Solomon anything ever again. I left this review and then I am going to unsubscribe to their emails. I had an image and a movie to attach here but I can't find it. Just believe me it's a horrible noise. I've never had a shoe that did this in my life.
