I saw these shoe and immediately wanted them. After receiving them, I must say, they are the nicest looking shoes I’ve purchased in a while. This is coming from someone who owns over 100 pairs of sneakers, with most being New Balance. Not only is the look o the shows nice, so is the comfort. I’ve seen a few reviews stating that they aren’t made that great, and I must differ on that. For me, they’re an absolute must buy!!

The only pair of sneakers that fits me (with arch support). Been wearing them since September when I got them. Considering getting another pair. The only problem is after few months, they start to stink. But It's easy to fix this issue. It's sad that Salomon is now getting so popular because of influencers, its getting harder to find cool models.. But I guess good for the brand.

I recently just got the XT-6 clears, decent looking pair. I’ve only worn them twice now, and a little scuff at the front has appeared but on closer expecting the paint has actually smeared/blurred? Also I’ve noticed compared to my other Salomons the Xt-6 clear outer-sole seems to be a less durable rubber and therefore has really noticeable wear already, especially on the heel section, more wear this will deteriorate quite drastically. Photos to show.

Have owned this shoe for 6+ months in both the black/blue colorway and the beige colorway. Both still look great and are comfortable for daily wear. I generally wear a women's 7.5 and in these I wear the men's 5.5 and have some room in the toe box. Would recommend!
Love these sneakers! Overall the XT-6 has been a great shoe, giving me good arch support and stability. They’re not squishy or super cloud like, but not uncomfortable either; just really planted. I took away a star mainly because the toe box is too narrow for my liking (most people will be used to it, and it gives it its look) and the Clear bottom was barely distinguishable (it’s ever so slightly translucent if you hold it up to the light, which you’ll do once when you open the box).
My Black / Riviera / Nimbus Cloud bottom clear spikes are so soft that after one hike to Mount Rainier it wore off more than 50% already. On the other hand my wife’s regular xt-6 Vanilla Ice / Granite Green / White spikes were good as new.Considering that salomon made this shoes as a hiking shoes, this clear xt6 is a really bad quality shoes. Your spikes will be gone after 2-3 hikes leaving you with no traction after that. Also, the front toe part where the clear rubber comes up, it started to shoe gap and it will probably come off if i go on one more hike (my 2nd hike since I only used this once at Mt Rainier)
I Bought these in the Vanilla/Safari/Magnet colour way in June and the interior of the shoe has already broken apart. I can't wear them after 3 months of normal wear (city walking, 2-3 times a week) because they just give me blisters now.Likewise, the paint job has just smudged and looks bad. Partially my fault for not spraying them immediately but this can't even be scrubbed off. Though the damage of the inside is far worth than the aesthetic damage. Neither should happen at this price point and hype.
I love the look and feel of this shoe, and it’s extremely comfortable to wear. Unfortunately I have to give them a very poor rating as they heavily started falling apart after 6 months of moderate wear. The heel and sole have ripped and deteriorated making them uncomfortable to wear.
The shoes came in an okay condition - the midsole seemed to be coming off of the upper part of the shoe on the sides, but it wasn't anything I couldn't look past, so I kept them. Other than that, there only was a tiny imperfection on one of the lace hooks, but again - nothing I couldn't look past.Unfortunately, after around three months of wear, other faults started to appear. These included the soles coming off on the tips, soles tearing on the sides of the shoe, and soles wearing off way quicker than on any other Salomons I had or have (I'm an owner of a few speedcrosses and older xt's).So, I'm not sure if only my pair is faulty or if the clear sole model is just not as rugged, but, the quality of these shoes doesn't match the quality of other Salomons I've ... MoreThe shoes came in an okay condition - the midsole seemed to be coming off of the upper part of the shoe on the sides, but it wasn't anything I couldn't look past, so I kept them. These weren't even my everyday pair.
I am an avid Salomon fan. I even own their ski bindings and other outdoor equipment and several pairs of their shoes. I will say that although the Xt 6 is by far the most comfortable and stylish shoe they have, you have to baby them. Mine are destroyed after only about less than a year of regular wear. I think for a shoe that was originally designed for the outdoors it's disappointing to have to worry about doing anything in them. Also Salomon customer service has not been the best in my experience. I've had similar issues with the XT 2 wings as well so Id steer clear of any of the XT shoes unless you got money to burn. Buyer beware!
