I have over 25 pairs of Solomons. All of my Solomons have meaning and all have purpose. This pair, however, is just joyful and playful. I never thought I’d buy shoes for style but once I saw these, I had to have them for no other reason than for their looks! They are sized typical for Salomons and offer great comfort and support. I only have about 100 miles on these but they’ve broken in comfortably. If you want a vibrant shoe that makes a statement, these are the ones to seek out…

The perforated mesh makes the shoe light, comfortable and allows for good air circulation. Great rubber sole that adds comfort for hiking or pounding the city street in style, and you can’t beat the quick lace-up!

I’m currently sitting on a rock on the Isle of Harris wearing my XT4-Advance. Sadly rather commending these shoes I’m having to criticise them and the quality of the product.I have bought 3 pairs of shoes from this company, the Ultra Glides (still waiting for my replacement insoles that was supposed to be sent) and SLab Cross2 actually the only pair I can praise.I have attached photos to show the quality of the upper is appalling and something you’d find on a cheaper make and not £165 sport style shoes. The mock carbon fibre bonding is coming away from the mesh like fabric on the toe box and this is after going out on the first walk. I’m not a runner by any means and bought the running shoes for the style. I do walk quite a bit throughout the day, and these shoes are the most comfortable shoe’s I’ve worn.
I needed a replacement for my hiking/everyday shoes. These looked stellar and fit the bill.So far, I've done quite a few hikes over both smooth and very rocky terrain (no more than 4 miles at a time though). Right out of the box they feel very stable and super secure. I use the Speedcross 4 for running and Spartan races. The XT-4 Advanced have much more cushioning than the Speedcross line (I've gone through four pairs of them - yes, lots of trail runs and races over the years). They give your foot a nice secure fit without being too tight and very stable over very rough and uneven terrain (roots, lose rocks, large rocks, hardpack etc.). I now have three pairs of Salomon shoes and I can say that they do fit on the narrow side - meaning they fit me very well.I would buy these again in a second. I'm very happy with them!
