Purchased xt-6 in both Grey and White. After a couple wears formed a stain around the front of the shoe from rain or sweat, attempts to clean didn’t help and put through a warranty claim. Was told I’d have to send the shoes back however was travelling and unable to do so. Also explained my consumer rights to refuse a return and requested replacements. Multiple emails back and forth as well as their customer service trying to open new claims when my original one had yet to be complete. By the end they told me to take legal action if I wanted to continue with this. Not worth the hassle or fees for a £165 shoe. Poor build quality and awful CS for a shoe and company that has so much potential

I am so disappointed. I never complain about items but for the price you would expect better. These shoes scuffed on first use causing some of the colour to rub away. They have only ever been used lightly but have worn down so quickly (started wearing them about 6 months ago). The thread is fraying and now a patch of the shoe by the ankle has started to wear away. After about 5 minutes of wearing, sweat patched become visible on the 'breathable' material.Any other salomon shoes I/a friend has owned previously have lasted a long time with heavy use. It seems as this model of shoe are in fashion at the moment, the quality of the materials have been compromised causing them to wear away quickly.

Happy customer of Salomon for many years. Thought this model would be an upgrade and was drawn to the aesthetics - big mistake. The shoe runs painfully narrow and is exacerbated by the built-in tongue that makes the shoe even tighter around the feet. My feet went numb and encountered significant pain just from wearing them indoors and trying them on. I decided to shelve them, wait a couple of months, and try them again - just as bad.Worse yet, when I called customer service to tell them about this, they sent me through a total runaround. I immediately acknowledged that they were outside of the return period, which they were willing to entertain given the new condition of the shoes. They asked for photos, descriptions, and we went back and forth over many ... MoreHappy customer of Salomon for many years. Completely uncoordinated and it appears that they don't stand behind this product whatsoever. There are better shoes and certainly companies with more integrity out there. If you like the shoe, make sure it doesn't hurt - there's a good chance it will. And know that once your money has been exchanged, it's probably gone. Good luck.

I like to own 1 pair of shoes and run them into the ground, and these are that. Writing this review as I go back to buy a 2nd pair of the same sneaker about 9 months after the first pair. I wear them everyday everywhere - to the gym, traveling, with skirts and dresses, and most notably to raves where I’m on my feet dancing and jumping for 10 hours. They are expensive but you will not regret the purchase. I’m buying these shoes for my Euro summer knowing they will be my best option for endless walking and climbing steep Italian streets. I will say that I struggled with the sizing a bit. Im a true woman’s US 8 and they told me to buy a men’s size 7. I should’ve bought a men’s size 6 and will be buying that size this time around. I recently bought a pair of these just under two months ago, expecting the same quality as my decade-old Salomon walking boots. Unfortunately, within two months, the inside heel has started to wear down despite only using them to walk around London.Given the premium price, this is disappointing. My old Salomon boots lasted for years, even on challenging hikes. I have contacted customer service and am awaiting their response. This experience has been very disappointing and lost my trust in Salomon's products. My recommendation is buy a cheaper pair of shoes elsewhere.
I bought a pair of these a year and a half ago and have been wearing them continuously for urban walking since then, about three miles a day. They have been really great. I like the support and overall feel of the shoe. They're supportive without feeling bulky. The quicklace system is fantastic. And they look great. They're a bit beat up now, but for the first six months or so I got a lot of compliments and they were very versatile. I took them traveling a few times and I could walk around all day in them for four or five miles and then wear them to dinner while still looking presentable. Hopefully Salomon keeps making this exact style because I will definitely be buying another pair. I bought a pair of the black XT-6s and they have been great. I wore them for almost two years while doing lots of walking (I walk to work a total of five miles there and back plus whatever I walk during the day) and they were very comfortable and very durable. I never really used them for running, but for walking they were fantastic. I need a wide toe box and these fit great, with enough room for my feet while still being really stable and secure. The arch support was great. My feet never really got tired in them. And they look really great as well. I will definitely be buying more XT-6 shoes in the future.
I had heard good things from a couple people about Salomon’s. However, when I ordered and got them I was disappointed. I got them to replace some hiking shoes and I initially liked how grippy the outsole is. I tried them on after a 3.5 mile hike to make sure the length and width were correct and they although the width is good, the heel felt clunky and the interior footbed was very uncomfortable. I thought it was just the cheap liner, so I put a pair of insoles in them, but that made no difference. In fact I tried two different insoles and the interior of the shoe was so uncomfortable, after taking off my other shoe. I also noticed that the mesh upper material seemed too thick and not breathable at all. The laces were also quite long and unlike the Salomon ... MoreI had heard good things from a couple people about Salomon’s. However, when I ordered and got them I was disappointed. I also noticed that the mesh upper material seemed too thick and not breathable at all. The laces were also quite long and unlike the Salomon Speedcross, there isn’t a pocket on the tongue to store the pull mechanism or rather there is one, but it’s half sewn shut, so unusable for that purpose, which made no sense, so it flops around when you walk. For the $200 price, these shoes were not high quality at all. In fact I am surprised these are so popular since the actual footbed is not comfortable for even 5 minutes let alone a trail run/walk. Anyway, back they went. I’d highly encourage people to try these on after a run to ensure they work for you.
When I bought my first pair of Salomon XT-6s, I immediately fell in love with how comfortable it was and didn't take long to break in. I liked that it was a medium firmness cushion, and it was durable. And laces? See ya!I'm at a point in my life where I'm willing to pay extra for comfort in an everyday shoe/sneaker and I thought this would be the one.Over time and a few pairs, I noticed they were wearing down faster and were more uncomfortable even right out of the box.Since this model in particular has gained a lot of streetwear popularity in the last few years, you can tell the quality has gone down so they can pump out more quantity. Even though its a "sportstyle" shoe, the quality shouldn't have to suffer.I'm not sure if I can continue to purchase this ... MoreWhen I bought my first pair of Salomon XT-6s, I immediately fell in love with how comfortable it was and didn't take long to break in. Even though its a "sportstyle" shoe, the quality shouldn't have to suffer.I'm not sure if I can continue to purchase this shoe anymore.Btw, this is one of the only shoe brands I've experienced where there is a slight discrepancy between M/W.I'm a W7, which is normally a M5.5, but in Salomon I'm a M6, which tripped me out in the beginning.
This is my second pair. I have a size 11 and a 11.5 pair. Normally my running shoes are 11.5. Which ones I wear depends on the socks and the trail. Loose gravel and sand I’m in compression socks and the size 11. Hard pack trails I’ll wear hiking socks and the 11.5. Why is this important? Because these shoes can be finely tuned. The lacing system takes a minute to get used to but once you know it, you can tune the fit. And they stay where you set them. Ordinary lacing gives and changes, especially on gravel and in sand. This is a technical shoe. The support is extraordinary no matter the surface. It’s not what I’d wear on black top or out shopping. It’s for when you need a shoe you be seamlessly a part of you.
