I like the shoe but it seems a size larger than normal. I have purchased 15 plus pairs of Salomons over the years and love almost every one of them. (Please keep making the speedcross 5) Every pair I purchased were a size 9 and fit great. These run a size bigger, or they were mis marked. Waited too long to return.

I'm a filmmaker, and every time I'm called to set and I know for sure that it'll be indoors or dry outdoors these are my go-to, or also when I'm out scouting for locations. I'm very happy with the look and feel of these shoes when not taking the following "inconveniences" into consideration. If it was only because of the small inconvenience with the heel strap I would give 4 stars to these shoes, but because of the premature issue encountered with the sole I'm giving these 3 stars until I see a diligent response from Salomon customer service.

These shoes look and feel great. Good for everyday wear and for low-intensity hiking. They breath! I've always had to order a half size larger than usual for Salomon shoes. These were no exception. But, they don't seem to run as narrow as some other Salomon models I've had. I'd like to know what the distracting cheap-looking plastic heel loops are for. I'd cut them off at the threads if I were sure it wouldn't compromise the integrity of the shoes. What happened to form follows function? Regardless, nice shoes!
My friend got me looking at a pair of Salomon shoes as he had a pair and kept telling me how comfortable they were. I purchased them and the delivery was super fast. They looked fantastic, and I’m a huge fan of the laceless tie. They are amazingly comfortable! Very sturdy, secure and supportive in all the places they need to be.I was furious at myself as 2 days later I split coffee all over my right shoe, and it’s never looked the same! (This is purely my fault and not that of Salomon’s!).
These shoes look cool and the lacing system is fantastic. But the shoe itself is missing the sport and structure I need for the trails. A very uncomfortable shoe. Some of my favorite shoes over the years have been Salomon - but they’ve lost me as a customer based on this quality of shoe.
XT Rush looks good but you will face serious trouble if you have 46 2/3 foot like me.First it is not easy to put on the shoe as it has no separated toung but at same time my right foot is loose! I can't go for smaller size bcause I can't put it on even.My foot is 294 mil long with socks so I bought 46 2/3 online.Another issue is excess pressure on top of the foot (bridge) and beginning of arch after walking even not running.Forget about a comfortable shoe that cover your foot as a sock.It seems that they had wronge measurements for this size, it may fine with 44 foot but absolutely not with 46 2/3, Unhappy with this model.
I got a pair(8.5) and they were 1/2 size to big. The arch was to far back on my foot. Sent them back for 1/2 size smaller(8.0) and perfect fit. They are a uni-sex shoes so maybe that was the issue because I'm always 8.5 in Salomon. But it is a nice breathable, light summer shoe. Love mine so far.
Having exclusively lived in Salomon's hiking shoe world (XA Pro 3D v8 Gore-Tex and X Ultra Gore-Tex) I thought I'd give their sports-style shoes a try. Takes a bit getting used to the sock like upper but i find it super comfortable, light, breathable and stretchy like a nice pair of ski socks. Nice and light also so it feels more agile. I might have fit into a 9 ½ (or 9 ¾ if there was such a beast) where I normally take a 10 but nothing that my normal orthotic inserts won't have any problem taking up a bit of the slack. I will probably wear then around town a bit more to get used to them to see if I want to go there however. I also like that I can move my toes around. That's a new feeling!
bought the shoe around 6 months ago. Tread is somehow already done and will probably be porous soon. Everything else about the shoe is terrific -- the lacing system is awesome and doesn't show any laces and the overall structure is good but the sole is beyond weak.Disappointed :(
