Nice tasting and handy. On the plus side, they had a nice taste, individually wrapped makes them convenient for lunchboxes or grabbing one for later. And the price was very reasonable. On the other hand, I was happy to see on the front, in big letters, "Proudly Australian Made" but disappointed to read the fine print that only 12% of Australian ingredients were used. Considering 30% of the product is peanuts, clearly they weren't Australian peanuts. I tend to eat a lower carb diet, for health reasons, and was hoping this high protein bar would be low carb as well. It was lower than most bars, but not low enough for me. I would only buy this product again if the kids ask for it. So far they haven't.

Yummy sweet treat snack. These were very easy to spot amongst muesli bars shelf. The packaging n āless sugarā stands out. First bite, it was seriously yummy. A good bite without being overly chewy or hard, it had some chew n some crunch. It definitely tastes heaps better than others as it was sweet, not sickly sweet. The bar size is just right for my 9 n 11yo n it was such a handy (mum forgot to prepare) after school treat snack. The peanut n almond aftertaste was a standout n thoroughly enjoyed. Whilst it wonāt be everyday food due to its still high sugar content, we will probably buy it again for a treat snack.

Nice snack but Iād prefer a healthier one. itās taste much better then I expected and my family likes it. But I am a bit disappointed by the claim ā45% less sugarā on the packaging. I know this brand because I like Samās pantry Honey salted macadamia bar. And it has less carbs (10. 3 vs 11. 2 in caramel brownie) and less ingredients so much healthier. Iāll continue to buy my Honey sated Macadamia bar instead of this one. here is the ingredients list for Honey Salted MacadamiaRoasted Nuts (59%) (Peanuts, Almonds, Macadamias), Glucose, Sunflower Seeds (6%), Rice Crisps, Honey (3%), Pepitas (3%), Rice Syrup, Sunflower Oil, Sesame Seeds (1%), Salt (0. 5%), Natural Flavour, Humectant (Glycerine)and this one is for Caramel Brownie Peanuts (30%), Caramel Syrup (28%) ...Ā MoreNice snack but Iād prefer a healthier one. itās taste much better then I expected and my family likes it. Average. I have purchased these bars before and they are one of the cheapest on the market. That may be due to the fact that they only use 12% aussie ingredients and it is how they keep the price low. Aussie made is a big plus. The other ingredients are comparable with a lot of other bars and 45% less sugar is great but then it has more salt than some others. These days it is a trade off on what matters more to your health. I love my bars in the fridge as they are harder. The mixture of the ingredients just wasn't to my liking. I have had better bars from Sam's in the pastSam's has over 10 different bars in their range and I often wonder why they don't do a variety pack as each member of the family could choose and not be stuck with 6 bars of the same. Kids Enjoyed but I wouldnāt repurchase. While the sugar content was low by comparison to some bars out there, it still has 4g in each bar. The āhigh proteinā marketing is achieved by adding soy protein isolate. It also has ānatural flavoursā which is the same as artificial flavours, seed oils and a long list of other filler type ingredients. They taste fake too. I would rather my kids just eat real food - especially when they will happily snack on plain nuts, fruit & veg. In a pinch I would give them raw balls or bars from the health food aisle after carefully checking the ingredients.
Great GF protein bars. Muesli bars are generally something I tend to avoid as they usually contain pesky gluten containing cereals, so I was very pleasantly surprised to find that the Sam's pantry protein bars are indeed gluten free. They were easy to find in store - although there are many different varieties and I had to closely look and ensure that I was selecting the correct product. The product itself was quite good. The ingredients were balanced and the bar wasn't overly sweet, it had a mild caramel flavour that certainly wasn't overpowering. I liked that they contain nearly half the amount of sugar when compared to the leading brand name protein bar. I liked that they contain nearly half the amount of sugar when compared to the leading brand name protein bar. I also liked the fact that they are made here in Australia, however note that the proportion of Aussie ingredients is low (at least 12%). The packaging was pleasing, each bar was well contained in is own robust plastic packet - perfect for throwing in my pocket for when I'm out and about at work and need a snack on the run. A packet of 5 retails for $3. 50 with equates to 70 cents per bar. I thought the pricing was quite reasonable and this met my criteria for work snacks not to being over $1 per serve. An enjoyable product, would definitely consider buying again.
Bargain Price. Sams Pantry Caramel Brownie Low Sugar Protein Bar 5pk 190g Price: $3. 50 for a box of 5Product of: Made in Australia from at least 12% Australian ingredientsGeneral: - These bars were a good size and very filling at 70c each! - I loved the texture and the taste. - They were certainly sweet enough. I wouldn't have wanted them any sweeter. - I was ready to give them 5 out of 5 but then I read that most of the ingredients come from overseas. So disappointed! Overall: I really enjoyed these bars and am pleased they were made here in Australia. Whilst I realise we can't grow 'everything' here in Australia... I think they need to find a way to source more of the ingredients locally and keep the price as low. I would buy again
Tasty snack - Not sure about the nutritional value though... These tasted fine, and I would have given them 5 stars, that was until I read the nutritional label, Servings Size 38 gFat, total Approx. 10. 4g per serve (saturated Approx. 2. 9g per serve)Carbohydrate Approx. 11. 2g per serve (sugars Approx. 4. 8g per serve)Sodium Approx. 127mg per serveSo I am not sure these are as heathy as they could be, however for those time poor Mums who are trying to put something a little healthier in their kid's lunch boxes, however they are probably better than the regular bars. Good to see they were made in Australia.
Sooo good. Absolutely delicious! It really hits the mark and delivers on its promises on the back. The only downside is the origin of ingredients as at least 12% Australian. But at least it's made in Australia. It's crunchy, gooey, tasty, a hint of sweetness & a semi-generous layer of peanut butter without being overpowering. It is really well balanced in its flavours. Decently priced, $3. 50 for a 5 pack. A great snack to keep you going and something that is relatively healthy. Would have been a 5-star product, but due to lack of Australian ingredients, it had to lose a star. Positives - Gluten-free, low sugar, and high protein. Negatives - Only 5 in a pack, lack of Australian ingredients, leaves you wanting more.
12% Australian Ingredients. I had a VERY small amount of one of these, enough to taste and that was all. No way will I risk breaking a tooth on hard, crunchy nuts no matter how inviting they may appear. Husband thought they were tasty. The 45% less sugar is a potential draw card, the nuts are generous and the base is really good. Suitable for vegetarians, a long Best Before date BUT Made in Australia from at least 12% Australian ingredients. 12% - NOWHERE NEAR GOOD ENOUGH. This is something I wouldn't consider buying because of the low Australian ingredient ratio. An interesting sample but such a shame that nuts grown and harvested in Australia weren't used.
