I own the XP 106 and bought this as a more powerful upgrade and because the accessories will work.I'm a travelling entertainer (magician/speaker) and this entire line of speakers has been great for me. I can set up, and run a wireless mic and music for a large crowd without the need for an outlet to plug in.The unit it portable, with plenty of power. Definitely not light, but it has wheels. The combo kit with the cover and stands is definitely worth it.Excellent value for a well made workhorse of a PS system.

I was pleasantly surprised with the sound quality and output volume. The Bluetooth set up was surprisingly easy and also the ability to play music off of a SD card or USB thumb drive was a pleasant surprise. The wireless mic works pretty well and the range is acceptable. I have not yet used this unit often enough to evaluate the battery life but it appears it's going to be quite good. The only disadvantage that I can see as of now is that this unit is quite heavy. This is probably due to the large onboard battery.

I perform solo with backing tracks 4-7 times a week. I had been using the Expedition Express for two years, when I was asked to do a solo show at a larger venue. Since the Express had been a workhorse allowing me to set up anywhere, I was excited that the XP310w was available. That gig was in February 2020. I had three opportunities to use the system before the pandemic shut everything down.Fast forward to summer 2021. Gigs were picking up and I had the opportunity to use the system several times. In early 2022, I charged the system overnight and set up for a gig. When I turned the system on the low battery indicator light came on after 90 seconds. I let it charge for a full 24 hours. It did the same thing at the next gig. It has not held a charge AT ALL since then. I reached out via chat for support since it's out of warranty. I also checked in here to see if there had been any others who experienced this issue. I was told I needed to call. No other explanation or support. My faith in Sam Ash is waning. Hopefully by posting this, someone else will have had a similar issue and might be able to offer a solution.

I purchased the Envoi for solo vocal/guitar performances as well as the occasional karaoke party. I just received the unit and it arrived in great condition. Setting it up was a breeze, and it was no time before I had the wireless mic, my guitar and an iPad running through the system. Controlling levels of each was easy. There are two things that keep me from giving this system 5 stars - 1) The reverb has slapback delay to it which I was not expecting. It's actually not a bad attribute since I would probably have delayed my vocal signal a bit anyway, but I would have liked to have made that decision myself rather than Denon making it for me. 2) The wireless mic channel feeds back something fierce when the microphone is turned off (with the small switch at the base ... MoreI purchased the Envoi for solo vocal/guitar performances as well as the occasional karaoke party. It's actually not a bad attribute since I would probably have delayed my vocal signal a bit anyway, but I would have liked to have made that decision myself rather than Denon making it for me. 2) The wireless mic channel feeds back something fierce when the microphone is turned off (with the small switch at the base of the mic) and the wireless channel is on. This is a design flaw in my opinion - the channel should defeat when the mic is switched off but instead throws very loud white noise. I have to remember to not turn the mic off before I turn off the wireless channel or the system itself. It would be great to be able to control reverb levels on each channel instead on the overall master mix but that was definitely not a deal-breaker. Despite those shortcomings, I would definitely recommend the Envoi. It has the high quality sound I would expect from Denon, including a pretty meaty bottom-end. The controls are intuitive and streaming music from my computer, iPad or iPhone is quick and easy. And really, the wireless mic is high quality and well-built. The Envoi is a bit spendy in comparison to a comparable Fender or Behringer system, but I can definitely vouch for the sound.
We have received and tested the Denon Envoi portable system with great satisfaction. Speaker is powerful and has great depth for a single speaker. It fills a great need for us for portable applications outside or inside. The Bluetooth feature is excellent. However, we're a bit disappointed in the limited distance of the wireless microphone and angle - you have to aim unit directly at the mic for reception to be perfectly clear. For this price, we can adjust accordingly.
So far it's been a good speaker; it's been used a few times, and far most Good. I think Samson can work a bit more on the wireless mic transmitter set, or enhance the receiver tuning and reception. That will make this speaker a more solid rock player.Hopefully Samson can consider this suggestion and improve their future unit, and be able to upgrade the existing out there.ThanksJ. We are wedding officiants and had another profesional PA system but with the Denon we have been able to provide sound on outdoor weddings where they have not electrical installation. The sound is great and we are very happy. We did had one issue with the antenna not being shipped with the equipment and we opened a claim with B&H and they are working with the provider to solve it. Since we don't have the antenna we have to be careful on the distance between the speaker and the wireless microphone. For now we solved using a wired microphone and it work so Great. waiting to get the antenna so it can be even better.
I bought the speaker looking for something that could be used outdoors away from electricity as a wireless mic for a presenter at an event wireless mic cuts in and out and sounds hollow when it does work would not recommend the wireless part of this. I do like speaker itself sounds really good if used with a standard SM 58 or other external microphone. I think the wireless components are just too cheap at this price level and don't work well as a wireless unit .
My organization traded up to this model from an earlier off-brand product. While the utility of both products were similar, the Denon is far superior in sound quality and available volume. Controls on the Denon are pretty straight forward, however the instruction manual is missing key settings required to get the unit to operate correctly. Often, the manual will talk about using one control knob ignoring that you need to operate two knobs at the same time for a given function. You might think that the PA is defective when you just needed to move a second control. So, to get the most out of this product, play with the controls yourself until you discover all the ins and outs. Don't depend upon the instructions alone. the single unit alone does not sound bad. in my case, though, the handle malfunctioned almost immediately after purchase in the permanently UP position, regardless of incredibly gentle treatment, and is now both impossible to store in any realistic location and difficult to transport due to that handle extending permanently UP. Denon said i could ship it back on my nickel (minimum $75 in shipping) for repair, but sent me extensive warnings on how carefully i must pack it - if any damage occurs during shipment nothing will be covered by Denon or by UPS (ie i pay $75 and then lose everything). i can promise you this unit with the handle stuck in the UP position is ridiculously difficult to ship safely (note also the added cost for the additional length due to ... Morethe single unit alone does not sound bad. in my case, though, the handle malfunctioned almost immediately after purchase in the permanently UP position, regardless of incredibly gentle treatment, and is now both impossible to store in any realistic location and difficult to transport due to that handle extending permanently UP. Denon has returned neither of my two emails noting my concern over how difficult it is to ship the unit back to them safely. early on we tried connecting two Envoi units together - don't do it. it was very noticeable (i don't remember whether it was a 25 or a 50ft cable connection) the connected unit lagged behind the dominant unit in sound delivery. sadly i probably would use this far more, & there is a good chance i would even like this unit far more, if that handle was actually retractable making it easier to both STORE and TRANSPORT.
