Great bag! Plenty of room inside for anything I want to carry. Well organized interior with sufficient sections, pockets and zippered storage for anything needed. The exterior has a beautiful professional appearance and is very durable material. Having the handle come through as opposed to being attached to the top flap makes it easy to carry even if the front straps are not fully secured. The attachment points of the shoulder strap are well placed to maintain load balance. The curved zipper for the larger compartment provides easy access to content. The interion is well padded to protect content, especially the section intended for a laptop or notebook computer. I highly recommend this briefcase.

My wife got me this bag for our 30th anniversary 3 weeks ago. It looks terrific and I love it.Today, while crossing the street in the crosswalk, I was hit by a car. It missed me but hit my bag which had my laptop and iPad in it. When I, fearing to look, checked the condition of my computer, all was well! And as you can see in the photos, there’s not a mark on the bag. Had I been 6” back of where I was standing, I’d have had a fractured or broken leg.So the bag is great, protected my electronics, and still looks wonderful after being hit by a car. Thank you, Samsonite!

I received this bag last week and will be returning it immediately. The leather is of poor quality and more resembles cheap car interior material. My wife didn’t even think it was genuine leather. I have a similar bag from a different manufacturer I am looking to replace due to a cat using it for a scratching post. I read the positive reviews of this Samsonite and decided to give it a try. That was a mistake. The price was much less than I paid for the other one and I got what I paid for with both bags. I encourage anyone looking at a classic leather flap over to consider other options. I have purchased other products from E Bags and have been extremely pleased. Not so with this Samsonite flap over.
I ordered my 63 year-old dad this bag in cognac for Father's Day, and he loves it. His old flapover only had a long, leather strap that was thin from being stretched out due to the weight of his stuff, and it was hurting his shoulder to carry around. This one comes with a padded shoulder strap and a handle, so it's much more versatile and comfortable. He also likes that he can put it on the rails of his luggage for travel, and how all the pockets keep his work belongings much more organized. It's soft but study, and looks nice and classy, but not to the point where it appears outdated. Perfect!
Had the last version and it lasted close to 10 years before the strap broke. This is the same one with similar quality. Enough pockets, fits my MacBook Pro.
All aspects of this bag are great so far-- accessibility, storage capacity, pocket sizes, zippers, stitching, etc.I thought I would love the magnetic closures that are "hiding" behind the fake buckles, but after a couple weeks I have determined that it's really hard to get them lined up and locked into place. I'm past the 14-day return policy (was traveling with the bag for the whole two weeks), but if I had it to do over again I'd get the version of the bag that has the more traditional slide-in clasps instead of the magnets. But, I can live with this minor inconvenience because the rest of the bag meets my needs.
The perfect briefcase - has everything I was looking for - I have tried several briefcases over the past couple of years (including 2 from samsonite) and ended up returning them all for one reason or another. This bag is perfect - Plenty of room for accessories, can fit my laptop as well as an ipad, a well balanced center handle as well as a shoulder strap, and a strap to attached to the handle of a carry on when I travel. Good quality leather and nice coloring. Have already received unsolicited compliments on the bag. Good Job Samsonite
It was a gift to my dad, he thought it was a little big so he wanted to exchange it for the smaller one. The woman at the store was so rude to him, also towards me, she said they don’t take returns even when they have the exact same bag in the store, and the one he wanted as well. She said her manager is the only one who can take returns. Absolutely useless.
Was considering a RM Williams Messenger Bag but the cost made me look around for something the same but cheaper. Found this one and liked the price. The quality is great.
