I’ll start by saying it is very true that main compartment of this luggage is smaller than typical carry-ons, as everyone before me has stated. I am giving 5 stars because: 1. the laptop compartment sold me on this luggage. The way it easily opens and can store an iPad and a laptop safely. One of the reasons there is less space is because there is a hard rectangle frame protecting your laptop. 2. having now spent a few days traveling with the luggage, it rolls really well. I did bring a large backpack to help carry additional items, and I was able to rest that on top, no issues. 3. I love the design and the quality. the laptop door does seem slightly fragile but once it’s locked in the entire unit feels solid. it has a nice compression packing system in case you ... MoreI’ll start by saying it is very true that main compartment of this luggage is smaller than typical carry-ons, as everyone before me has stated. It can expand 1” and basically it can hold enough for a weekend with no issues. If you need to bring extra pairs of shoes or jackets, plan on bringing a large backpack or checked luggage.

The suitcase she’ll is sleek and durable. The wheels tool smoothly. I travel for business and the garment side allows me to travel with business attire and suits and prevents them from getting wrinkled. The If is the telescoping handle. The handle is wider than most suitcases so it is harder to put it through most laptop bags and backpacks. Also, the rubber handle causes friction making it even more difficult to slide a laptop bag or backpack on it. I use a Samsonite laptop backpack and it is difficult to get it over the rubber handle.

First few uses and I can summarize goods and bads about the carry on. First, the front access could be useful if you have the main compartment empty. Even though there is a cushion that works as a spacer, the compartment is limited in space. The main compartment seems as a good design but there are two things that would’ve made the case more utile. The flat garment pocket could have been set with adjustable straps instead of elastic straps. Having adjustable straps would have helped compressing the clothes set under, creating more space for the opposite side compartment. I can’t get shoes and more than a few sets of clothes in it, so you have to be very picky on your outfits. Closing the zipper is a mission since there is no expansion. Be ready to sit on top to ... MoreFirst few uses and I can summarize goods and bads about the carry on. First, the front access could be useful if you have the main compartment empty. Nevertheless the case has great mobility, feels sturdy, it is lightweight but of strong build. If I could change something from it, as main improvement, would have been integrating an expansion zipper.

This is a really nice suitcase. When it arrived I could tell it was a really quality piece of luggage. It sits horizontal not upright, which is the only suitcase we have like that. Although it seemed weird to me initially, ultimately I don't really think it matters. There are handles on both the top and side as well as a telescoping handle with several height options. The outside plastic is really strong and feels quite durable. The zippers are very smooth and the pulls are large. If you leave the pulls towards the bottom they will clank and drag on the floor, although I don't know why you wouldn't pull them to the top by the handle. The inside on both sides has several different sized zippered pockets as well as a large zippered area underneath to utilize the side ... MoreThis is a really nice suitcase. The inside on both sides has several different sized zippered pockets as well as a large zippered area underneath to utilize the side as a whole. Due to this, there is a lot of multifunctional and usable space for clothes and other items you may travel with. I have seen other suitcases where the top side is just separate zippered pockets but no large area and this design is much better, IMO. Each side is pretty deep but you will need to be strategic and separate clothes on each side if you have a lot. There is a built in combination lock on the top as well as an air tag holder inside. It is well designed as well as lightweight. I haven't used it in an airport/checked baggage yet so I can't speak to that at this point.
I don't write reviews often but I feel the need to with this particular piece of luggage. I had an opportunity to stop by the Samsonite Outlet Store while waiting for another appointment and I started looking around at different pieces of luggage. I am an avid traveler being to 15 different countries over the past 5 years and I currently have an Eddie Bauer Expedition 21 Rolling duffel. The only issue I've had at all with that bag is it started tipping over with another bag on top so I thought after seeing the Elevation Plus Carry On that it could be a better option with carrying a laptop in the front pocket and being a hardshell with 4 wheels. I spent a lot of time researching and decided that I would try it out. I spent a lot of time researching and decided that I would try it out. This evening as I'm packing for a 13 day trip to Thailand and Bangladesh I was very disappointed in the functionality and quality of the luggage. It is much smaller and not able to fit my laptop on the front with it packed. I ended up taking everything out of it and putting it in my tried and true Eddie Bauer. This is not a good piece of luggage. I think if I go with a hardshell I will try one that does not have the laptop pocket. I was so hoping this would be a solution that could roll with me and carry a laptop. Also zipper on inside stuck on fabric first time zipping back and forth.
I love the design of this luggage. I had originally purchased a different style of Samsonite luggage and quickly returned it when I saw this style. This is sleek and very durable. It has an AirTag holder built in and plenty of space for travel. I used it for overseas travel and was able to pack plenty of outfits for my 7 day trip. I will more than likely purchased more pieces in this style. The wheels are smooth and the luggage is lightweight. The weight of the luggage was a factor of deciding on which piece for me. I did not want to have a heavy piece of luggage and lose that weight for packing.
This hard-sided 21" spinner luggage from Samsonite is excellent. There's a reason that folks think of the name Samsonite when they think of luggage, and that's because they've been around for a long time and make quality items. The exterior of the luggage is a very sleek and attractive black color, and it is a true hard-sided suitcase. There is an expander zipper which can be unzipped to give the suitcase a little extra space if needed. It has a built-in, user-settable TSA-approved 3-digit combination lock. I like this feature since you don't have to worry about the handle randomly extending or collapsing on you.The inside features a decent amount of room for clothing, a semi-rigid divider to keep shirts from getting wrinkled by other items in the bag, and a water-resistant pouch for toiletries. The size of this luggage is perfect for fitting in the overhead bin of an airplane, and can accommodate a couple of days worth of clothing. As I mentioned above, the materials seem to be very high quality, and with it being a carry-on bag it's less likely to be damaged anyway since it won't be subject to the rough handling of baggage handlers.Overall it's a great carry-on-sized suitcase, and I would highly recommend it.
This Samsonite - 21-Inch Spinner carry-on is amazing. The interior is very spacious, the wheels glide across the floor smoothly and quietly, goes over bumps in the floor with ease (even plush carpet), and it easy to pull even while full. I was amazed with how much this Samsonite - 21-Inch Spinner held and still rolled with ease. I like that I can pull it the way I normally would or even on its side if I’m going through a crowd. All the extra pockets make it easy to have my toiletries and laptop/tablet with me in case something happens. I absolutely love the hard outer shell and it makes me feel like my electronics will be protected during travel. The only con I have with this Samsonite - 21-Inch Spinner is one of the zippers was broken when I received it. After just one trip this bag looks bad and completely messed up. The quality of the plastic and rubbery zipper and handles make it too attractive to dirt and greasy stuff bags are obviously exposed at airports. I've had other Samsonite bags before, but none have looked this dirty after one trip as this one. The entire zipper has a rubber around it and now the entire zipper has black stains, the plastic is completely scratched and my lock doesn't work. I just requested a repair because I can't no longer return it. I wish I had used it closer to the return date. I got the carry-on version and it is as bad as the big one. Do not buy it.
I have bought the Elevation Glider Medium in green. I love the color and the shape. The organization pockets are very practical. I used the suit case for 1 international trip. I have some black marks and a rubber piece from under the suitcase melted due to some friction on the airport belt I believe. The shape being a little awkward makes it a little difficult to check the luggage in. In Paris CDG, the luggage ramp goes upward to access the belt. You need to put the suitcase flat otherwise it will just roll and go nowhere (just like if it was on a trade mill). Besides these little minuses, I love it
