I’m disappointed with the bag so far. While the volume is good and it’s large as promised the back support is poor and the bag isn’t comfortable to walk around with. My previous Samsonite bag was great and I used it for many years. Unfortunately I can’t see myself using this bag for long time.

Technically, I would rate this backpack a 4 1/2 star. Storage wise, it's smaller than my last laptop backpack, but I bought it for that very reason - so that it easily fits under an airplane seat. I've had it for almost 3 months now and on half a dozen trips. The bag has done fine. This is my second xenon bag, and my prior one held up great. I expect this one to perform equally as well. There are two areas of improvement that would make this bag a 5 star for me. 1. As others have mentioned, this bag would better if it had a small padded strip at the bottom of the laptop sleeve. 2. I wish there were a few more internal zippered pockets in the front compartment for the storage of travel accessories. It has a few, but could benefit from a few more. I havent been a backpack person for a while, but after walking to work for a couple of years with various bags, Im back...packing again. This is just the right size. Front section holds wallet, glasses, pens, other little stuff and even has a sleeve for iPad. Top front holds iPhone (or could hold glasses / sunglasses. Middle section holds lunch, headphones, other work stuff as needed. Slim back pocket could hold a laptop (I dont carry one) but for me holds those papers / files that I need kept flat. Two water bottle pockets on either side are a needed convenience that were a dealbreaker on other bags. Glad its not too big, Im not hiking the Andes for heavens sake. I am a 5.5 tall female but I dont feel like this bag screams male or female via style or size. This backpack is well designed and made for business users or college students. After my son's backpack was broken from normal usage when he was a sophomore, I gave him my 2-year old business backpack (Xenon 3.0) as a replacement since he was in a rush going back to NYC. He also liked it, and now he is a senior student at NYU. If Samsung is listening, it could be improved by using different (lighter) colored interior lining to make it easier for users to find things in its pockets in a darkened conference room.

I bought my son his original Samsonite backpack Fall 2017 at the beginning of his senior year of high school after they were issued large iPad's to all the students. As anyone who has middle & high school kids knows, their backpacks are crammed full! He is now a senior in college and has loved that backpack! He takes it with him everywhere...to class, to work, and even when traveling! Although it still works, it started to wear out and he asked for a new one. We went to Office Depot (where we got the first one) to find a new one. I use a macbook pro 13 with touchbar and this fits my laptop perfectly with extra room. It could actually fit a 15 because it has about almost 2 inches of unused spaced (based on the height of the bag). Here's what I actually place inside my backpack: macbook pro with charger, ipad air 4th gen, mouse, mobile phone, external drive, umbrella, wallet, hand sanitizer, pens, ipad / iphone charger, and bose earbuds. Even with all of that, it still leaves room for paper / folder and/or notebook. I like the size how it's perfect since I only stand about 5'1 and petite. So my problem is that most laptop backpacks look so much bigger compared to me. I use this laptop for going to school. I like having everything with me to make sure that I'm able to study anywhere. I bought this back in August 2022, it's now November. I have been using consistently for months. I'm just in love with it. I'm truly bummed this is sold out right now. I hope Samsonite actually makes more of these sizes, specifically this Xenon one! It just looks more like the old Samsonite backpack designs that I have grown to love. If this becomes available, and you have similar items as mine, then don't even bother thinking too long about it. Just go ahead add it on your cart and checkout! Because if you saw it as available, it won't last long.
I am a substitute teacher and was looking for a way to carry a few more things with me (like lunch and drinks). I already have a big back pack and wanted something small with 2 side pockets. One for water and the other for Mt. Dew. I also carry some extra supplies for the students in case they don't have them. Pencils, paper etc.It is light weight and comfortable to wear.
I have had this backpack for about 4 months and it has had very light use. I don't carry it daily, but use it for my work laptop and papers when I travel, and it has only been on 2 trips so far. It fits a good amount and I like the laptop sleeve, but the main compartment zipper has been broken almost since the beginning. The zipper teeth just come apart, and boom -- the whole backpack is hanging open. I will no longer be using this backpack because I cannot guarantee the safety of whatever I put inside. I've only heard good things about Samsonite, so I am very disappointed in the quality of this backpack.
I love the size and durability of the Xenon 3.0. I also love that it stays upright when placed on the ground. The pockets are roomy and there are many compartments for books, notes, laptop, ipad, etc. I use a 20oz water bottle and it fits perfectly in the the side pocket. The fabric is high quality. I was disappointed with my JanSport and decided to spend a little extra on this. So glad I did!
