I use my UR59C for my game consoles and my PC. For the most part, it's pretty good. I enjoy the large curved screen and the resolution. I've used it for the past few months and I've loved this monitor. However, there are a few flaws. The number one complaint everyone has is the lack of a VESA mount. This thing is enormous and takes up a lot of space, so some mounting holes would've been very convenient for many. Unfortunately that's not the case for this monitor. Another is the low refresh rate. 60mhz isn't awful, but it could've been better. Finally, If they wanted this monitor to focus on being high resolution, they could've included HDR as well. HDR improves image quality drastically, yet it isn't present here.Overall, it isn't perfect, but it's still pretty ... MoreI use my UR59C for my game consoles and my PC. I have a 43inch computer monitor from another company, but I bought this model while looking for another sub-monitor because of the heavy workload. This is a review after using it for about a year now. The first monitor from another company was larger than this product, but now the monitor has become a sub-monitor. In particular, it was a new world even though I am studying computer major as to the function of Thunderbolt. First of all, I use this monitor with a laptop, I can connect the screen and charge at the same time, so the adapter cord is gone. Also, the speaker performance is so good that computer speakers are gone. The USB receiver of the wireless mouse keyboard can also be connected to the monitor, so the USB hub has disappeared. I always wanted an ultra wide monitor and this is the best purchase I've ever made. It's WQHD resolution helps me do multitasking. I am a software developer and benefit a lot from having multiple screens open simultaneously. I can easily open 4 windows on this. It reduces strain on my eyes the colors are crisp. Take that information with grain of salt as I don't work in multimedia but it's good emough for my purpose. This monitor also has two type C ports, one of which can spit out 85W which I use to charge my laptop and said goodbye to the charger. The second type C port can output 15W, which can charge your smartphone. It also has HDMI and USB-A port. Cherry on top is this monitor also has a built in speaker and is loud enough so that I can take my meetings on it. ... MoreI always wanted an ultra wide monitor and this is the best purchase I've ever made. excelent monitor whilst it lasted. Great colours, viewing angles and frame rate. There are some issues with ghosting on the blurbusters UFO test, however this has never been a problem whilst gaming.HOWEVER, after 2 years the image would be heavily corrupted and only the top 1 cm would be visiable at power on. This would clear after 5 mins, however got worse to the point that it was permonant when running the display at 144Hz and would run fine at 120Hz. Now 6 months later 120Hz is experiancing the same issue, lasing for incrasingly longer time (20mins before clearing) and i cant use the monitor at the advertised frame rate.GOOD FOR 2 YEARS, NOW CANT BE RUN AT 144Hz
I was looking into gaming monitors before purchasing this one. Upon reviewing many of them, this one fit right where I need it. The size replaces 2 monitors on the desk. The larger 49" monitors just seemed a little too much for me, price wise and space wise. The specs on this monitor are perfect for casual gaming and browsing videos on the web. When the kiddos or the wife take over the tv in the living room, I can comfortably jump and use this monitor for watching something. The quality of the screen is vivid and sharp. On occasion I'll jump and trade stocks and the monitor has enough room to have two large browser windows open and not have an issue. All around good buy, for a fair price.
Absolutely love my ur59c monitors. Bought 3 six months ago and have thoroughly enjoyed using them. The picture and colors are fabulous. I haven't noticed any dead pixels, delivery was fast, and setup was easy.I haven't experienced any of the power plug issues, but i also pushed them in until they solidly clicked. It did take a bit of effort for that but it has held good.My only gripe would be the lack of vesa compatibility. This is, in my opinion, silly, with as long as the vesa standard has been around. I knew that going in though, and almost didn't buy the monitors for that single reason. I do not regret the purchase at all given all that, though, and would happily purchase them again, if i had to do it all over again.
I bought my monitor since we started to work from home due to the pandemic. I am a software engineer, so having a lot of real state was the main argument to purchase it. I have it connected to my work laptop via HDMI and my personal laptop via Thunderbolt 3 connector. So it is very practical to switch from one to another. The HDMI connection is very reliable, I have had almost no issues with it.However, the Thunderbolt 3 connection is not as reliable. I have had to physically disconnect the cable from the back of the monitor some times for my laptop to get recognized again because doing it from the end to the laptop did not work. I am using the provided USB Thunderbolt 3 cable for this connection so I don't think the cable is the issue.Other than that, the ... MoreI bought my monitor since we started to work from home due to the pandemic. I am using the provided USB Thunderbolt 3 cable for this connection so I don't think the cable is the issue.Other than that, the brightness is great, the resolution is also awesome, the colors are vivid.I also like that it has built-in speakers and I did not expect them to have a nice quality sound, but they are enough for my needs. I play music while working and sometimes use them during conversations in video chats although I use my headset most of the times for that. However, improving the sound quality also would be great.I think adding a built-in video camera would be the cherry on the top (literally), but it has to be an HD camera, because the monitor itself is very pricey and the video camera has to be as good as that.In summary, I am very happy with my monitor because of how wide it is and how nice the resolution of the images are.
I bought two of these and initially wanted to use a dual mount with them. But alas, you cannot just get any mount as there is not bracket pattern. Soooo, luckily I found this and am going to try.Search Amazon: HumanCentric VESA Mount Adapter for Samsung Curved Monitors 32 inch CF397 and Samsung 24 inch CRG5, VESA Adapter Bracket Mounts Monitor to VESA Stand, Arm.But other than that, I love the two monitors with slight aversion to the not the clearest quality but good enough for me. They were easy to set up and I do enjoy using the two together. I will enjoy them for a few years until I upgrade to the next Samsung monitor that is huge and is basically two monitors in one.I am a Samsungsonian to the end. ;-)
I work from home 100% and I purchased this as my primary monitor for my work computer - a Surface Pro. It isn't any better or worse than other monitors I have used. The speakers provide plenty of volume and the size is perfect for me at about a 3-foot distance. It took a little bit of time to get used to the curve, but now I don't even notice it. I don't feel it's any better than a flat screen, but certainly not any worse. I broke a tab on the back cover plate when unpacking it, but it still holds in position. The back of the monitor is thicker than flat screens and I doubt all cameras would adjust well to it. Mine sits okay - a Microsoft Lifecam with a very flexible base.
The matte finish is definitely a must, alongside with the curved screen it has reduced the glare from any lights.I use my 32-in curved monitor for gaming and absolutely love how clear the quality of this screen is. It has higher refresh rate for those gamers and also has a nice 1080p screen for those that enjoy a bit of TV. A curved screen is definitely a game changer because of how immerse you feel while using this device. It has quick settings on the back with the power button function being an all-in-one button. Changing your settings to super easy and control to the volume is just one left or right click away. This monitor is very light and compact easy to move around and still small enough to fit in places that could be tight. First person shooter games is what I play the most and would definitely be nice if this monitor had that setting. I've had this device for a while now and it has never let me down. Thank you for making such a clean and sleek monitor.
