I've owned an OLED TV for around 5 years so my expectations were high. I (and my wife for that matter) were very used to the inky blacks that OLED TVs can deliver. The assembly of the TV itself onto the stand was a little tricky, you definitely require another pair of hands to ensure it is done safely. The one connect box is brilliant and allows you to connect all the devices you own that would usually find their home in the back of the TV into the external box. The TV allows you to mount this on the stand or use the included longer 2.5m cable to store it in your media cabinet/stand (like I did). The S95D is certainly capable of a much higher brightness level that that of my old OLED TV. The setup process was very quick - you just have to select your language and country, followed by connecting to the internet and then ideally logging into your Samsung account.BBC iPlayer and Channel 4 apps are missing, however upon contacting Channel 4 and Samsung, they confirmed that both apps are in certification and would be available in the near future. The best picture mode out of the box that requires very little or no changes is the film maker mode. I spent some time watching shows and movies with my family and found the picture to be very life like. Upon changing the picture clarity settings, I found the TV to handle motion such as football very well. The matte coating on the screen certainly is a game changer when it comes to enjoying an OLED TV in bright light. When it comes to gaming, the game mode has a brilliant action bar that allows you to do things such as enable minimap zoom and an overlay crosshair setting. The S95D supports every format and feature the PS5 is able to output. I was well aware of reported issues with previous iterations of the one connect box - such as signal dropping and I am more than happy to report that I didn't experience anything like this on the S95D.The speakers are some of the best built-in speakers I have ever heard on a TV, even my wife who was used to our external surround setup commented on how well it sounded. I also own a Samsung soundbar and was able to take advantage of the Q-Symphony setting which uses the TV speakers alongside the soundbar for improved clarity. The lack of Dolby Vision was the only thing I was a bit concerned about, but as a content consumer I can't tell the difference and I can't find one bad thing to say about the picture or the TV for that matter. A contender for TV of the Year 2024 for sure

This is truly a "next-generation" television.Design:It is shockingly flat, especially if you choose the route of wall-mounting it (which I would highly recommend). Beyond that, however, it has a feature called a "one connect" box, which allows you to route all of your power, HDMI cable connections (for game systems, audio receiver boxes, streaming devices, etc.). This is not only an aesthetically pleasing design choice, by Samsung, it is also super convenient and allows the owner of the TV to have more options when choosing where and how cleanly any setup choice will look.Picture Quality:The picture quality, however, is nothing short of spectacular. This is not only an aesthetically pleasing design choice, by Samsung, it is also super convenient and allows the owner of the TV to have more options when choosing where and how cleanly any setup choice will look.Picture Quality:The picture quality, however, is nothing short of spectacular. I've owned a traditional "LED" flat screen television for almost 10 years and never realized how much of an improvement image quality has attained over the last decade. OLED means that the "LED" (light emitting diode) is "organic" insofar as it can create its own light, rather than just influence a pre-lit "zone" of a traditional LED setup. What this ultimately translates into is a picture quality that can have "true black". This is achieved by the OLEDs being able to turn themselves completely off, versus trying to achieve a "darkest color" in a pre-lit LED setup. The result is breathtaking.Additionally, a TV of this caliber has a high refresh rate, which makes the image quality itself buttery smooth during fast-paced scenes or quick-flashing sequences of images. The 144 Hz refresh rate means that the image will refresh itself 144 times a second. This is partially achieved, in some formats, via Samsung's "Motion Xcelerator". This helps make even some older formats look better on such a high-end product. One of the major differences with this year's S95D model, is its "OLED Glare Free" technology. The images I submitted with this review, show the incredibly brightness this television achieves even in a well-lit room. Its picture has yet to show any signs of anything reflecting off of it, be it the outdoor light, office lamps or decorative lighting that I have. The only lackluster part of this products, in my opinion, would be the unimpressive remote that comes with this TV. For a premium product, I feel the consumer wants something more than a remote that seems the size of one you'd use to control a space heater, or fan. It is of good quality, however, though does feel you left wanting more.Ultimately, I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone in the market for an OLED TV.

I purchased this TV in April 2024 as a temporary set for my home cinema room, while in-between projectors (my last one was a JVC NZ8), but it's so good that it's going to be hard to go back to a projector! The picture quality, after set-up and calibration, is incredible, especially in HDR (the attahced photos were taken with my iPhone and don't do it justice). The small "downgrade" in size (my PJ screen was 88" diag 16/9) is more than made up with the significant upgrade regarding everything else: picture quality, color volume, highlights, black level, contrast, even motion... I sit at 1 screen width, so I only had to move my seats forward slightly to get the same immersion (in fact slightly better) and a much better picture quality than with my high-end projector costing more than five times more. The JVC was no slouch, but I have zero regret with the S90C, especially at that price. Every single film I re-watch looks significantly better. The picture is very organic, not artificial at all (with the right settings). With QD OLED there is no blooming, and the off-axis performance is excellent, which means that even if your sitting distance is close, there is no discoloration on the side of the picture (for yourself or those sitting next to you), contrary to mini-LED.I almost bought a Sony A95L before I realised how much of a bargain the S90C is (same panel, excellent processing, good color accuracy out of the box). No regret regarding the A95L either, this set is brighter and once calibrated, just as good, even with low quality content. The S90C might not be as accurate out of the box, but calibrating it to near reference is very easy. It's a better option for gaming too, thanks to its 4 HDMI 2.1 ports. The integrated sound is very good for a TV. I use a full 9.2.4 setup through an AVR, but for TV or casual use I find the TV speakers very decent. The only item missing on the features list is Dolby Vision, though with an HD Fury device (I have a VRROOM) it's very easy to add DV compatibility to this set if it really matters to you. With almost 1,200nits peak white, I don't think Dolby Vision or HDR10+ bring much to the table. There is so much contrast and the picture is so good with static tonemapping that there might be a minor loss of highlights with very bright titles, but with most of the content DV/HDR10+ makes little to no difference, so it can really be disregarded.I use this TV in a fully dedicated room (the anti-reflection filter is good for sports or TV in a living room with some ambient light, but in my opinion your really need the lights off to have no reflections at all during movie watching in a cinema room).Installation was easy, and 77" is the largest size I can bring into my current room due to a cramped stairway, so I'm not missing out on anything. Make sure that you have enough ceiling height in your room to unpack the set, as you need to lift the outside of the packaging up, which can be tricky in a loft space, especially with a slanted roof. The OS is fine (better than what most say), but I don't use it, I use external sources (including an ATV 4K and a FireTV 4K Max for streaming), so I can't really evaluate the internal apps as I don't use them,It looks great with its minimalist design, and I like the fact that the pedestal makes it usable on a stand that's doesn't have to be as wide as the TV if you're not wall-mounting it.I would highly recommend this TV to anyone looking for excellent quality at an unbeatable price. Even at twice the price, it would still be a bargain!

Of course, the best picture is with quality streams, but lower quality like Netflix standard, Viaplay and Max's new standard quality all gets decently scaled up, so much that you actually forget it wasn't 4K.The 2024 model's new screen coating is also worth a mention. According to other tests, it darkens the image a bit, but with OLED it is plenty bright anyway, and the benefits of the coating way surpass any negative effect. Even in bright daylight, there are no visible glares on the screen!Sound: The built-in speakers on the tv are decent considering the thickness of the tv. They will not give you any wow effect, but let's be honest, anyone that buys a big tv in this price range will also have dedicated speakers in their setup.Connections: The one-connect box has every connection option you will ever need. I connected my Surround receiver via HDMI, and it controls it perfectly via eARC. When I turn on my tv, it automatically turns on the receiver, and volume control works perfectly with the Samsung remote. I have not used my Surround receivers remote once since getting this tv.App capabilities: Samsung is the leader when it comes to built-in content apps. Previously I used a Chrome Cast for some streaming providers, but with Samsung, every app I need is supported native. The tv even comes with some nice promotions for some of the providers. To conclude, I am very pleased with this tv, and I can't imagine there will be any better alternative for years to come.
The S95D is Samsung's 2024 QD-OLED model replacing the S95C. I previously owned the S95B (2022 model) and upgrading to the S95C seemed marginally incremental. The two biggest upgrades the S95D features is a bump in brightness as well as a controversial matte screen finish, both of which really serve one main purpose. One of the biggest features of the S95B is just how bright the screen could get and the S95D delivers in this area with brighter brights. Not only is the screen brighter, the S95D takes it to another level and pairs its bright screen with a matte screen finish making the S95D one of the best TVs to put in a bright room setting. If you've ever tried to view a TV in a room with many windows during the day, you likely would have had a hard time seeing the picture as many reflections and glares would have been visible. A brighter screen helps to compensate by pushing more light into your eyes, however, it can only go so far. This is where Samsung takes things to another level by pairing the bright OLED screen with a matte finish. The purpose of the matte finish is to dissipate light thereby removing the reflections and glares. As far as I know, Samsung's The Frame TV also has a matte screen finish so it would make sense to bring this feature to its OLED lineup. Does it work? You bet! While some may think that the matte finish makes the TV look cheap or impacts the picture quality, there is currently no other high-end TV that can tackle a bright room like the S95D can. When I purchased the S95B, I was very impressed at the QD-OLED panel and the picture quality it could deliver. I thought that the TV was near perfect with really only one lacking feature - support for Dolby Vision. Unfortunately that remains true two years later with the S95D which still continues to have no support for Dolby Vision. However, if Dolby Vision is not required, Samsung has done a fantastic job with the S95D - the king of the bright room!
This TV is amazing. The unboxing experience was simple easy and the tv was light enough that I was even able to do it myself. The picture stands well above other tvs. I love the sharpness of the picture the real depth enhancer really gives it a real sense of well depth. Watching on this tv compared to the 4k tv that was previously in this location was such a dramatic difference in the picture quality. I couldn't wait to watch one of my new favorite shows Halo on this tv and I will say that it did not dissapoint, the picture quality made me feel as though I was right in the action of everything every scene, every location. I might as well have been watching the show through a window outside my house. This tv truely works for everything from TV to streaming to video ... MoreThis TV is amazing. This tv truely works for everything from TV to streaming to video games each worked flawlessly with Crystal clear picture The tv keept up a fast refresh rate and took anything that I could throw at it for inputs or streaming It didn't matter. The operating system was easy to navigate and set up. it felt intuative and allowed me to set up the apps that I wanted and remove the ones that I didn't. I have a lot of samsung products and the OS feels familiar across all the products and really just made it all easy for me.Another wonderful perk of this TV is the one connector box. I have the TV wall mounted and instead of having wires all over the place and having to organize them in the wall it's just 1 simple wire coming down allowing me to plug everything into the box away from the tv itself. The sound from the TV was great, I tried it a few different ways just the tv speakers sounded clear. when I paired it with a sound bar it was nice to connect directly and then when using my samsung sound bar with pairing the tv and the sound bar together just unmatched experience with surround sound. The TV is easy to use, while I did try running it with a box, I opted to run cable via the company app through the TV, it was easy to navigate set up which apps I want to use, I now have cable and all my steaming services with the simple push of the remote (or voice command). I love the integration between my other smart devices and this tv and the apps. Overall I'm extremely happy with the tv and full recomend it to friends and family.
This right here is the current champion to beat this year, the all new Samsung S95D OLED TV. When I say it's the champion, I mean it, this TV has everything you could want in an OLED TV. I'll get right into it, upon receiving the TV I could tell this is premium just by moving the box around in my home and realizing how heavy the box is. Unboxing the TV was simple enough when I cut the tape but taking the actual TV out of the box required a second person since it was heavier than I anticipated compared to another OLED TV I previously had. Another reason the box for the TV was heavy was because of the TV stand itself which is all metal and two separate big pieces that need to screwed onto the back of the TV, but I could tell that the stand was premium because of its ... MoreThis right here is the current champion to beat this year, the all new Samsung S95D OLED TV. Another reason the box for the TV was heavy was because of the TV stand itself which is all metal and two separate big pieces that need to screwed onto the back of the TV, but I could tell that the stand was premium because of its heft. Assembling the TV took roughly about 30-40 mins which wasn't too bad.I was really impressed at the build quality of the TV, the TV with the whole stand is very sleek looking while also being sturdy and it is also surprisingly thin, more than my Samsung smartphone. Setting up the TV was simple enough that I had the option of doing it through my smartphone or with the remote, I decided to do it with the remote and it took a few minutes since I didn't have streaming accounts to set up. While setting it up I was pleased with how easy it is to navigate and how functional the new Tizen OS UI is, its intuitive and makes finding what you need easy. While watching content on the TV is when I was grinning from ear to ear, the color quality and clarity on the TV is amazing, watching 4K HDR content will blow anyone's mind with how it looks almost better than real life. By now everyone knows that OLED cannot be beat when it comes to picture quality but this Samsung S95D dials it up to 11 with colors that are crazy vibrant, but brighter than conventional OLED because of the fact that this is QD-OLED. This TV gets surprisingly bright even with overhead lights being on in the room. Sound quality on the TV is awesome and fills the room very well without needing to have a very high volume. The awesome new feature this year for the TV is the anti-glare coating on it that eliminates a lot of glare to make viewing much easier in a lit room. Gaming on this TV is also amazing with its ability to go up to 144hz for smooth gameplay just like a PC monitor. Those are the reasons plus many more why this Samsung S95D is the OLED champ to beat.
I'll start by saying that I am a tech enthusiast through and through. When Samsung released their first QD-OLED TV in 2022, I obviously had to have it. From then on, I've set out to replace every screen in my house with a Samsung QD-OLED.The S95D is the next piece of that puzzle. Every year, Samsung's flagship QD-OLED gets brighter, and this year is no exception. I've found that the default brightness is off the charts, especially when connect to console or my PC for gaming. There isn't much I really need to do but plug and play. The TV automatically switches to game mode, with optimal picture settings, sound settings, and 120hz to 144hz, depending on what you have connected.Speaking of audio, this generation continues the brilliant implementation of Q-Symphony, ... MoreI'll start by saying that I am a tech enthusiast through and through. The TV automatically switches to game mode, with optimal picture settings, sound settings, and 120hz to 144hz, depending on what you have connected.Speaking of audio, this generation continues the brilliant implementation of Q-Symphony, meaning if you have a compatible Samsung soundbar, it will allow you to incorporate the TV speakers into your surround system for additional atmospheric sounds. With a Dolby Atmos soundbar, it adds another rich layer of directional sound that needs to be experienced in person to truly understand. The S95D also uses the one connect box, which integrates power and all data connections into a single cable that then connects to an external box. That box can be hidden separate from the TV or mounted directly to the back of the stand. If you are wall mounting the TV, it allows you to have a single silver colored cable that is much easier to conceal than a litany of power, HDMI, coaxial, USB, and CAT 6 cables spilling out of the back of the TV.Now let's talk about the two biggest upgrades this year. First, the remote has pressure sensitive side panels that can tell if you are holding it upside down and will alert you to this if you try to press a button. It's not a necessary addition, but it's more cutting-edge technology from Samsung.Second, the flagship TV this year includes an anti-glare layer on the screen. This is huge if you are using it in a gaming room like me with lots of LED lights, or in a bright living room. It's an absolute game changer. It's not just non reflective, it seems to absorb and diffuse reflection. If you haven't seen it in person, pop into your local big box store and check it out.The Samsung S95D QD-OLED is the absolute best flagship iteration to date. With substantial upgrades to both brightness and technology, it's going to be a dominant force in the market for a long time.
I bought the Samsung S95C TV a few weeks ago and I am absolutely blown away by its performance. This is the best TV I've ever purchased, and it's great for gaming and movies. The picture quality is stunning, with near-infinite contrast, vivid colors, and incredible brightness (1600 nits). The QD-OLED technology delivers a lifelike image that looks great from any angle. The TV very much feels like it throws colours on the wall like physical paint, which is surreal and immersive. It's like having a giant canvas in your living room. The TV also supports HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG formats, so you can enjoy the best of HDR content. The TV is also a gamer's dream, with a 144Hz refresh rate, low input lag, and AMD's FreeSync Premium Pro. I have a PS5 connected to the TV (getting 120hz on games that support 120hz :) and I have no issues and no connection drops or compatibility issues (working fine no issues with the original HDMI cable that comes with the PS5). I use a fiber HDMI cable, which I recommend for the best signal quality. You can watch this video (https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=samsung+s95c+fiber+hdmi) for more information especially if for some reason you are experiencing issues. It has ALM (Low Latency Mode) - automatically detects when you connect a gaming console or a PC and reduces the input lag to the minimum possible. This means you can enjoy a more responsive and smooth gaming experience, without having to manually change any settings. The ALM works with any HDMI 2.1 device, such as the PS5, Xbox Series X, or a gaming PC. The ALM also works with older HDMI devices, as long as they support the ALLM feature. The ALM is a game-changer for gamers, as it eliminates any delay between your actions and the on-screen response. The TV has a maximum bandwidth of 40Gbps (the reason is because of the one connect box which is worth it very much), which is lower than the previous model S90C, but that doesn't matter because the TV can handle 4K at 144Hz, which is more than enough for any game with a strong gaming pc that supports this refresh rate. The remote control is also very smart and convenient. It can control the PS5 through ARC/eARC, and it has a solar panel on the back, so you don't need to worry about batteries. The remote also works with the Tizen smart platform, which has a lot of apps and features, including Samsung Plus, which offers free awesome content and full channels of everything. The only thing that the TV doesn't have is Dolby Vision, but that's not a big deal because Dolby Vision is just a branding format of HDR that apps adjust with kind of like as a protocol. The TV can still display amazing HDR quality with other formats.Another feature that I love about the Samsung S95C TV is the Filmmaker Mode. This mode preserves the original vision of the movie directors, by turning off any unnecessary processing and adjusting the picture settings to match the cinematic standards. The result is a more authentic and immersive movie experience, with accurate colors, contrast, and aspect ratio. You can easily activate the Filmmaker Mode by pressing the Menu button on the remote, then selecting Picture, and then choosing Filmmaker Mode.In conclusion, I would highly recommend this TV over every TV in the world that is available. It's a masterpiece of technology and design, and it will make you fall in love with your entertainment. Don't think too much, just go for it. You won't regret it.
The QN55S95D 55" OLED TV has amazing bright and vibrant colors that shines with the OLED Glare Free design panel. This anti-glare panel was something that I want expecting at all to come into use in my bedroom. Believe it or not, with my previous 2017 Samsung LCD TV, the two large windows in my bedroom, the shades needed to be closed because of the sunlight. With this new Glare Free panel, I don't have to close my shades anymore because there isn't a glare anymore noticeable on the screen. I didn't realize how useful this design was going to come in handy until I didn't have to close my shades anymore. As for the Home Smart Menu, you have different option menus to choose, like: Ambient (Window Screen Saver), Gaming (HDR/HDR10+, and a customizable Gaming Motion Plus). The audio system is completely different in design compared to my 7 year old previous model Samsung. It now has 6 individual round speakers on the back of the television located towards the bottom which has Intelligent and Amplify Modes which spreads the sound throughout your room. My room is 12' × 14' and the sound amplifies great. Previously, I set it up in the living room and the sound was impressive in a large room. The unboxing of the TV wasn't so bad, but it was time consuming almost 40 minutes and it's a 2-man job especially when taking the TV out of the box and then placing it on the TV stand. The programming of the TV was pretty easy and that's another 30-45 minutes depending on all of the apps and devices you need to install.Overall, the Samsung QN55S95D 55" OLED television has been a great investment. The colors are vibrant, the 144hz gives it a better resolution with higher frame rates especially with gaming. The Home Smart Menu makes all your apps and devices easily accessible, but it takes some getting used to especially compared to my previous
