With the Samsung SSD 860 QVO, Samsung Electronics today presents its new SSD series. The series offers high density 4-bit Multi-Level Cell (MLC) NAND flash architecture with storage capacities of up to four terabytes (TB) at SSD speeds and stable performance. With this new product line, Samsung is laying the foundation for Terabyte capacity SSDs that are competitively priced over HDDs. SSDs with sufficient storage space are therefore affordable for the masses. Powerful performance thanks to 4-bit V-NAND technology With sequential read and write speeds of up to 550 megabytes per second (MB/s) and 520 MB/s respectively, the 860 QVO achieves the same performance as 3-bit MLC SSDs. This is thanks to the latest 4-bit V-NAND technology from Samsung in combination with the proven MJX controller. The drive is also equipped with Intelligent-TurboWrite technology, which ensures high performance and at the same time ensures a long service life for the SSD. The longevity of the 860 QVO is also reflected in its Total Bytes Written (TBW) value: 1,440 Total Bytes Written (TBW) for the 4-TB version and correspondingly 720 TBW and 360 TBW for the 2-TB and 1-TB versions.
