It should after all since it replaced a mechanical drive. Space plenty of it considering my first ever hard drive was 40 megabytes and the size of a 2 slice toaster. With 12,800 times the storage of my first ever hard drive and slightly larger than a credit card calculator; you can't go wrong. I recommend this drive, whether you are looking for a little more zing for the PC with a mechanical hard drive, or looking for something to shove under a door to keep it open. You just can't go wrong.

Nice SSD. Would have given all 5 stars but have only had in 1 day. Last SSD I tried locked me out twice in 2 days due to software migration flaws/glitches (not Samsung). They work fast when they work., until they don't.Samsung data migration easy to do and their Magician software helps keep the SSD current with updates and performance monitoring. You need a USB/SATA cable for data migration from your HDD to your SSD so be aware to shop around for one.

This drive brought new life to the PC. The Samsung Magician software failed to recognize the Samsung SSD! I had to use another file transfer program to clone the drive. This was a problem that I found others had also experienced. Having overcome that issue, the drive performs flawlessly.

We needed to get multiple solid states for the laptops at my company. We have been using them to replace the hard drives that were hard disk at our company as they gone bad. They have brought new life to the laptops. I highly recommend these SSDs
If you have older machines and would like to breathe new life into them, you cannot go wrong with the Samsung 860 Pro. You can take a 10 year-old machine, replace the spindle drive with this, add a little RAM and make it run like a brand new box!
This drive has been a wonderful upgrade for some of our older service tech laptops. I am having boot times cut in half, at least. One computer went from about 20 minutes to 2! I am using software to clone the drive, so no data is lost and it takes me about an hour per machine. Super quick and super easy. Plus with the price I am able to not need to buy new hardware.
I've used the 2.5" Samsung EVO & Pro SSD's in my environment for several years now and have found them to be very reliable. This latest drive is no exception. The Samsung migration software works well, however it would be nice to have some additional features.
I bought this testing the drive for my work and have fantastic results. I recommend purchasing numerous for my company to upgrade performance of older laptops.
I procured two of these SSD to replace the HD in a couple of Panasonic Toughbook C-53 laptop computers. I wanted to speed up the number crunching in some specialized wireless communications engineering applications that I use in my work. They did the job.An added benefit is that when I travel overseas to unstable locations, I can easily replace the SSD with a sanitized and encrypted drive. Then if my laptop is lost or confiscated, it is only an inconvenience and not a catastrophe.I highly recommend this SSD.
These SSD's have worked well for us .We use them to upgrade systems to have larger capacity and better performing SSD drives vs. spinning disk.Perfect capacity for 95% of our systems with room to spare.
