When I got my first SSD (Samsung 860 EVO), I was amazed of the speed from a disk drive to SSD upon Windows boot up and in game boot ups and loading screens. I mainly use this desktop for editing photos, videos and net browsing, also at times I do play games on it too.The Samsung's Data migration tool was an easy download and install from Samsung's website and I used this to clone the existing 250gb ssd to the new 1TB drive (you will need an external SSD enclosure). Otherwise the label heat spreader it comes with should be well enough for non-heavy gaming/video editing.I have a few PC's with a 980, 970, and an 860 and I have to point out that even though the 990 is extremely faster than its predecessors, it is more power efficient. And that, in my book, is innovation at its best!Blazing speed, better cooling technology, power efficiency, & consistent R/W is all us techies crave for. Other SSD's on the market just can't compete with Samsung's 990 Pro. I'm extremely happy with mine!
