Looks wise, easily looks more expensive than it is with the glass back when out and about and definitely an eye catcher with the Ice Blue colour. While it doesn’t come with a 3.5mm headphone jack, bluetooth connectivity with my wireless headphones and earphones work as they should with shorter connecting times than other devices I have. While it could benefit from faster charging speeds (or a charger in the box), still happy enough with the charging speed too. Always loved the security features especially having secure folders to the on-screen fingerprint sensor that works well and reliably.Overall, for an all-in-one device this one goes above and beyond. Based on my experience so far I’m more than impressed with this phone and looking forward to future trips using this device. An easy phone to recommend

Phone calls are very clear but can also be difficult to hear in noisy areas. The phone supports Wi-Fi calling but has frequently dropped connection in transition between cellular use. I do not recommend using Wi-Fi calling unless on a private network with high signal strength or in areas where cellular service is very poor. The cameras take very nice photos, and blur reduction works well for high motion images or shaky hands. I haven't taken any videos so I cannot comment on that.Overall I am very satisfied.

Even a Caveman Can use it

I use my Samsung Galaxy phones for streaming podcasts, music videos, and music. I also use it to complete work items and keep my personal document sfor hiring, and my son's school forms and productivity safe and organized. I have yet to run out of memory or space to utilize my phones, and have quite a few unnecessary apps downloaded just because i want to try them eventually. ;) The cameras and editing capabilities in these phones are incredible. I use the Galaxy AI features like photo assist and edit suggestions when reviewing and editing my photos I have taken. I recently started to play the "Generative Edit" feature, which removes and replaces objects or backgrounds of photos that you select by simply drawing around them. The speed of processing and abundant storage space also help provide a satisfying and calm state of mind when using the phone, knowing you can trust that it will work as it should. Nothing scarier than a hard deadline that's onky minutes away or god forbid, an emergency that you would need to make a call or send an urgent text message for help and your phone does not cooperate. it could be an actual matter of life or death. To be able to depend on my Samsung Galaxy, IS PRICELESS.. i will be sure i stick to this phone for the remainder of my life.

Good phone but with problems!

It's a good phone but the customer service of Samsung's incompetent troubleshooting bucks big time. My phone is only weeks old and had problems from the day I received it, the problem is that this a55 5g phone has problems recognising a tethering conection to my one year old desk top with the latest software and I tried 2 premium usb-c to usb-a cable's and the phone had the same problems! I contacted Samsung's customer service and all you get is a support centre in Asia with people who hardly speak English and don't even understand the question that one has to ask to resolve the issue or troubleshooting the phone or settings etc. I was told to take it to a service centre in Sydney even though that I mentioned that it is 800km away from my place and the other closest ... MoreIt's a good phone but the customer service of Samsung's incompetent troubleshooting bucks big time. The person on the phone was going to send me an email so that I could send in the phone, the email got never sent! So much for incompetency from Samsung which is absolute disgrace. The fe earbuds that came with the promotion are absolutely useless and have the worst sound I ever experienced, basically you can't watch a movie or listen to music with them because they sound like a tin can and if I would have had to buy them I would've returned them because they're not worth your money because they are absolute rubbish! Why not have as well as wireless a 3.5mm ear phone jack and let people decide what they want to use because I really preferred my old plug in headphones! Another thing to mention is that this phone because of it's square design is harder to hold in my hand and I have quite large hands compared to my old Samsung which had the same overall width but with a more rounded frame. Also no charger comes with this phone another $39 on top of the phone price, chargers used to be included with phones also that useless usb-c to usb-c cable that one can only use for charging but to transfer data to your desktop you need to buy another $20 cable! I can tell you that my next phone won't be a Sumsung phone I will take my money somewhere else especially for an overpriced phone that I had problems with from day one and the incompetency of Samsung and it's customer service and troubleshooting

I'm actually quite impressed with the overall quality of the phone and it feels just like any other Galaxy that I've used. Of course there's less storage, lower screen resolution, an inferior set of cameras, less processing speed, less RAM and far less bells and whistles than say, an S23 or S24. That being said, I'm not disappointed in the slightest. It doesn't feel like I'm using a generic burner or a "cheap" phone at all. It's still a Galaxy, just feels a lot like if my current phone was lost or broken and I had to go back to the previous one for a while. It's not everything a Samsung phone can possibly be in 2024, but it's definitely usable and I'd still prefer it over several newer, moŕ costly phones from other manufacturers. I'm excited to explore certain modern features like Galaxy AI and Android 15 when I do upgrade, but I don't currently feel like I'm using some outdated, irrelevant technology or anything and I'm in no rush to switch to another device.

Poor design

The camera's ability to read text from a photo is geniuse! I don't use my camera much, but the camera is top notch in functionality. That is the selling feature of this phone; sadly, the main reason someone would buy this phone is for the camera, yet it will probably be the first thing to break and most diccult feature to repair. The A54 is horribly designed! The rear cameras stick out SEVERAL millimeters, with no built in back cover protection (the A53 does not have this detrimental flaw). The phone's fingerprint scanner is aqward, and only lets you save 3 fingerprints! Why only 3? The power and volume buttons sit too far down on the right side; it's feels like the phone was designed for a child's hand (and I wear a size small glove). Also, the phone does not have ... MoreThe camera's ability to read text from a photo is geniuse! The power and volume buttons sit too far down on the right side; it's feels like the phone was designed for a child's hand (and I wear a size small glove). Also, the phone does not have a quick panel button for turning off data; you either have to turn on airplane mode--I don't want that-- or go to your settings, then open your connections, then go to your data usage, then your mobile data, then turn it off. Wow, what a pain!!!(On a side note, the power and volume buttons are placed perfectly for a left handed person to use and love. But the fingerprint scanner would still be horribly placed in either scenario--left or right handed).I switched from Samsung 9 to a competitor several years ago, and after owning a Samsung again for 2 days, I already regret it.Apparently Samsung is way behind their competition on the gestures aspect of phone designs, because I was disappointed with the complete lack of shortcuts. (I'm looking at you, shake light, and data settings). While setting up the phone, in the "tips" settings section, I was "shown" a couple features that looked cool, but weren't an option for the A54 (Why? Why do that Samsung? If it's not available, then whats the point in adding a tutorial?) --battery power sharing was the coolest item in the tutorial that isn't available...All in all, I can't wait for a year to pass so I can justify buying a new phone from the competition. I thought my S9 was amazing when i bought it brand new, but after seeing what the competition has to offer, and then returning to Samsung for this dissapointment...I doubt that I'll be a returning customer...

I have bought the Samsung A55 2 weeks ago and am in love with it. For a budget phone, any ordinary customer will never be able to discern this from Samsung's flagship 'S' series. Not only does it have very similar features to the 'S' series for only half the price it has a plethora of customisation options which you cannot find for phones of this price point, such as being able to assign a specific function by double pressing the power button such as a launching the camera app or flashlight. However, for any ordinary user who still wants high camera resolution when taking pictures and a fast phone, just not top of the line, the Samsung A55 is an excellent choice.Additionally, the very feeling of the phone feels very premium, considering it is just a budget phone. Based on looks alone it could easily be mistaken for a samsung flag ship phone. With the phone being Gorilla Glass Victus+ on the front and back, it ensures the phone is protected to a high degree. Additionally, the side island Samsung decided to implement makes turning the volume up/down and finding the power button so much simpler -. Finally, the metal aluminum is the cherry on top for making this phone feel more premium for half the price.I highly recommend this phone for someone new phone but not wanting to pay a lot of money for very premium features. I also recommend this phone for someone looking to switch to Samsung but does not want to spend a lot of money as its a trial. Me personally, who went from an S10 to buying this phone as their first phone, I am in love with and think it's the best phone at this price point.

Samsung Galaxy A54 5G, A Great Value

Error reporting is one such example. Though I can attach files to the error report, there is a limit to how big any given attachment can be.Another improvement that warrants a closer examination is that when I'm on a call, the screen turns off only after a few seconds. I have to constantly get the screen back on to provide input for any automated line that I call. Also, the device lacks AI capabilities. Due to the high demand for power, this is understandable.Again, my rating remains at 5 stars. A great device for the casual user that doesn't need a lot of bells and whistles.

The charger cable that came with have 2 samsung plugs on it instead of USB - samsung plug. So completely useless unless you buy a bung of adapters for your carcharger or to charge in your laptop or any other regular USB charger plug. The camera also stick out so you dont lay your phone down flat because the cameras on the back stick out. Really annoying. Also very easy to damage them because they are the first thing to get bashed into stuff so you HAVE to have a thick case rather then my prefered popsockets. But even with the case on the cameras are sticking out so wasy easier to damage them and that costs a lot to fix and you have to be without phone while they fix it. There is also no way to prevent the camera from closing while you set up and check angles and stuff. Because while I move things around it close and I adjust zoom and things and and it keep closing on me and I have to start all over with the settings. FRUSTRATING! On top of that, when I have put the phone to save video that I have edited or some other task I can't make it keep the screen on so keep having to unlock the phone over and over or tap the screen and several times it has ended up aborting what it was doing and I had to start over. Also since it has no ports I can't use any of my equipment or even headset with it. So a completely pointless phone. It keep warning me for using data but me and many others today have a prepaid plan with free surf/internet and there is no way to turn it off. Also, apart from all the things with the phone itself we have the people in Support when the delivery company (PostNord) messed up and the phone didn't arrive on time and Samsung was totally clueless. I am not happy with the phone and not happy with support and lack of help. Guess there won't be a new Samsung in this house ever again.
