I purchased this memory card for my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge to give my phone a boost of memory because I love taking pictures and I have thousands of songs and I have never had a problem with my sd card. Although I never needed that much memory alongside the 64gb of base storage on my phone but it's certainly nice to have it. I later used this memory card for my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 with no problems. In fact I am ordering another one now for my Samsung Galaxy S9+.

Looked at the ones that have the word switch on them and a picture of Mario on the packaging and they were $50??? I’m glad I passed on that one. I have installed several games on the Samsung card and they are as fast as when an actual game card is installed.

I’m a professional photographer that shoots in RAW and jpeg. These NEVER get full. I’ve gone a whole three day event, with 8+ hours of shooting per day and I haven’t hit the limit of one. I bought two just in case and I’ll never need it, to which I am glad but the storage hoarder in me will never be happy. This replaced my 64 and 34. Get it, I promise you won’t regret it.
What can I say other than it had a meltdown. I have had other cards over the years that have gone bad for whatever reason but never one that melted the adapter on a maiden install. I only noticed that it was getting hot from the smell. It was similar to a hot curling iron and burnt plastic. Luckily I removed it from my PC without damaging the PC or me. (initial review) Replacement product has worked like a charm. Just please look out for melting micro SD cards. A big thanks to newegg for their customer care.

They replace smaller EVO cards (which work fine as well).I read & write from these cards, on the phone, nearly every day & they perform flawlessly each time. I have used them in their adapters, as well as in a couple different micro card slots that I have. Each time, they did very well.I purchased the 128gb cards, because the phone camera size changed with the new phone, & wanted more space on there. Being that they are formatted with FAT or FAT32 from the company, I didn't expect them to hold very large files, so I changed that format to something a little more modern (NTFS actually).I know that the phones can use that format, & I like it more than the older format programs. I installed this card in may computer replacing an older 64 GB micro SD card. The Samsung 128GB micro SDXC EVO Memory Card was accepted by the computer and was pre formatted. However, I formatted it anyway. It Formatted to 119.7 GB in disk management in Windows 10. I copied all my pictures (43.7 GB) onto the card including the files from the 64 GB card into the new card. The card now contains all my files including other files music, word, and PDF files. So far, the card is fast and stores files correctly after about 2 to 3 weeks operation.
It's a great card. BUT KEEP YOUR WARRANTY! YOU MUST REGISTER THIS PRODUCT WITH SAMSUNG! TO IT! It will fail, not the card itself but it will become unformattable. There is no way around this. its the software that used to lock the card. The only way around this is to Call Samsung and have them take care of it. Its one of those catch 22 about using these cards in Cell phones.
I cannot give CDM test review because I have two of these and the two are in my phones (NOKIA 6.1 and Motorola e5 Plus) but so far the card has performed well, not a single issue storing files or reading them. I took the card out of the phone and put it in a card reader and I saw a 90MB/s reading and if I'm correct the same goes for Writing. For $20 you can't go wrong with this micro-SD card, even though I'm not a big fan of their SSD but there are other cards which are not U3 and that's the key, tog et a U3 because these are the highest and most accurate in terms of R/W speeds. I'll never get a U1 card for sure. the cards is good. I bought 3. it's fast and does the job for my needs of more space for photos and videos. it transfer at a good rate to my laptop. why I two star instead of 5 was because one of the three I purchased on Black Friday for $24, had a problem where it wouldn't let me access the files and I had to delete format the card to see if the problem went away but it didn't. so its basically a throw away one. the other two that I bought would slow down my note 3 phone and make it really hot at the part where I insert the card at. other than it works good. but than again it does heat up my phone. when I don't have it in it doesn't heat up my phone. so yeah. the price was better than other stores at the time so it was a good buy but it's not the best buy.
