This is a very useful product and at CCLs discounted price represents a very cheap way of buying portable storage. It operates faster than a USB 2.0 device when in a USB 3 port but doesn't achieve the extremely fast write speeds that a few other devices can manage. Because of its capacity it comes formatted as EXTFAT but this is not compatible with many devices such as music players and car entertainment systems. It can be formatted for FAT32 but not with standard windows software. I used a program called guiformat to allow use in my car.

I tested over 20 different USB key to install linux on them. For a french Web page with the tests results look for "bernard gisin cl usb pour installer Linux". For a video in french on how to install Linux on USB key, look for : "bernard gisin cl usb" I installed Linux on USB key more than one hundred times and use them with my students to teach computer science. The bests keys are from SanDisk and this one from Samsung. I boot on these keys on USB 3, faster than on a hard disk. Then I notice no difference with a hard disk. To use them only to store data, I don't know if the price difference between a normal key is valuable. Another advantage is the small size. When plugged, I don't hit them by error. If the price is not important, this USB key is a good choice. ... MoreI tested over 20 different USB key to install linux on them. Pros: I needed something small, to keep in laptop at all times, and high capacity. This works, and does not overheat like my latest Sandisk buysCons: nO COMPLAINTS

Brilliant drive. Superior to the SanDisk Ultra Fit in terms of build quality, read and write speed. Really, all one could ask from a drive. Stated 256GB capacity but of course, that isn't what you get to use but when using APFS on a Mac, I get over 99% of its rated capacity. A touch bigger than the SanDisk Ultra Fit which may be a problem with computers that have two USB slots next to each-other. Yes, these are more expensive than the SanDisk Ultra Fit but they are faster. I can't speak of long term use as, at the time of writing, I have only had the drive for a day but so far, it has fully met my expectations. One another note, there are many, many fake pen drives on eBay (and other sites for that matter) but it this is a fake, its a very, very good one. One can ... MoreBrilliant drive. One another note, there are many, many fake pen drives on eBay (and other sites for that matter) but it this is a fake, its a very, very good one. One can usually tell by false capacity reading or extremely slow read/write speed. This one seems to be the real deal and if so, it was a good deal from CCL Computers.
Perfect for Ready Boost to supplement my old laptop's marginal 3GB RAM. Works where other Thumbs didn't have the transfer speed. Helped revive an old windows 7 laptop I use for photos etc. I was also instructed to use 64 GB as optimal and When you run the formatting operation, be sure to select the NTFS file system rather than the default FAT32 format so you can get the full drive capacity.
Very nice and speedy flash drive for the price. I've done a full speed test of the drive and it runs at 300MB/s READ speed... But don't think that it will write up to a significant portion of that. I know some Samsung flash drives that are a lot larger can write up to 200MB/s but the Fit Plus only goes up to around 50MB/s write, which is still decent for a flash drive but I'm assuming this is due to size repercussions. Still functions great for my need which is university work to easily transfer between my desktop and laptop rather than using a cloud. It might not be as secure but it's a lot faster and more satisfying to just be able to remove it from one device and stick it in the other in about 3 seconds rather than uploading over the cloud that might take a ... MoreVery nice and speedy flash drive for the price. A very convenient memory stick. It can be fast when plugged in to the correct type of USB 3.0 socket but like all such devices it slows down when continuously writing multiple files. The 32Gbyte version is the largest capacity that will come formatted for fat32, and thus compatible with most cars or other devices. Larger capacity versions may require formatting with 3rd party formatters if your device(s) require fat32 since the 32Gbyte limit is a windows restriction rather than a technical limit.
Always bought Kingston Usb memory sticks but had a batch that would only last a month and then not open again. Asked google for the most reliable usb sicks and this came up. Its very fast in downloading new information. I bought 128gb as I wanted to get rid of old (Kingston) and put all files on one. The size is wide but small even when using another stick next to it. Works well with my Macbook. Not found anything bad about it yet
Ok , Crystal disk mark shows 300mb only speed transfer .I transferred small and large filles did not go up from 100mb . 4 times slower than advertised on samsung web site.I believe this product is over rated and incorrect information was published . Test marks can't be a published . Also just to confirm i am IT guys there is not a problem with my pc , PC is brand new 2 weeks old and it cost 9k verry high end PC tower . So please avoid this usb and specs as also i still haven't received refund or part refund for this issue.
works fast, put it in the usb port it immediately ready to work and it takes a second just to transfer my music flies on it. the usb it is easy to eject and fast from the computer. the music plays great on my stereo and musical equipment. so, i can share my music when i run into higher ups in the music industry.
