I had this phone for less than 2 months, then replaced it with a Motorola model.Things I disliked about the phone:1- the interface is not standard Android. A Huawei phone I had 3 years ago had better features and ease of use2- it installs a bogus "Free" application to the left of the 1st home screen that has Samsungs streaming entertainment channels -- whether you ask for it or not! And whenever you page too far to the left of your home screen, it actually runs the app, whether you wanted to or not. So you have to go into the active app list and kill it. And guess what -- its impossible to find the feature and delete it3- the screen is too dim to see it in daylight when using the camera. And guess what -- its impossible to find the feature and delete it3- the screen is too dim to see it in daylight when using the camera. I could not use the camera outside on a sunny day4- It has a "Samsung" series of apps that are together a huge memory hog, just bloatware, with no way to turn off or move to the SD card. They are largely redundant with Google apps. Kinda dumb for a phone with 32 gig of internal memory. I was being told constantly by the phone I was running out of memory and to delete some apps, but on the new Moto phone, I have 40% free memory <<using the same apps installed from Google backup>>5- The phone is too wide to fit in my (standard size) carpenter's pocket on the thigh of my trousers. It won't reliably go in the pocket. In fact, when getting ready to kneel, the phone fell out from my pocket about 24 inches onto a hard floor, causing the screen to shatter into several hundred pieces, <<without the screen physically hitting anything>> (it was fully protected from doing so by the lip of the phone case). First damaged screen I have ever had in 16 years of smartphone use. Now for the best part -- after I saw the phone was trashed, I was gleeful !! I called my cell provider that night and ordered a new phone6- the home wallpaper is rendered at significantly lower resolution than the screen. Also, the wallpaper does not "page" with navigating the home screens, as all my phones have done for the last 4 years, including the new Moto.7. The fingerprint sensor integrated with the on/off power button on the side only has about 1/4 of the area of a standard on-the-phone-back sensor. I would estimate its success rate in getting a print to be accepted was about 30%8- All this and it was $40 more expensive than the Moto Pure G I replaced it with !!All I can figure is that Samsung added all these endearing features to make sure it would not compete with their much pricier flagship Galaxy models.Run, don't walk, away from this engineering nightmare

As of 1-22-23, the QVC hosts still say it only takes "minutes" to set up this phone and TRACFONE will do the "break up" with your old carrier. So far, I have been trying for over 4 hours only to finally call Tracfone's customer service. Initially the instructions with the phone said about 30 minutes but I just learned from customer service at least 24 hours and then if it doesn't work to call back. REALLY?????? No where in the sales pitch is it mentioned about unlocking the phone number, which you want to transfer or a 24 hour wait. Once and IF, I can get this service on track, I will look for another carrier once this contract is done. I bought this phone 14 months ago so guess what, QVC already made their money since I cannot return the phone. My advice to anyone making ANY purchases on QVC is to try the product ASAP and if for any reason it is not as advertised, return it.

I sent this phone to my father for his birthday. He loved it until he tried to activate it. He could not get a Tracfone english speaking customer service rep to assist with his issues. I called QVC and the rep stated to try taking the phone to an AT&T or T-Mobile store to see if they could assist? Seriously? I then decided to call Tracfone technical support myself and could not get aa LIVE person on the line to speak to. After 35 minutes on hold, I hung up. If QVC is going to sell this phone then they should also be the one to provide Tier 1 support to customers without having to call other companies. Many senior citizens use Tracfones who have questions and need step by step directions and to be walked through the process of activation. The phone is actually ... I bought this phone new January 2022 unfortunately this phone didn't last me through the year. The camera was fine, the storage was good (but I purchased a 65gb SD card to add more space for photos), but the phone broke on my twice the same way. I would have given this phone 4 stars but due to the fact that it didn't even last me a year compared to my previous phone which lasted me about 5 years, I can't say that it worked for what I needed. I did not use a super sturdy case, but this phone's LCD display was destroyed when I dropped it from a relatively low height. The screen flashed in all sorts of colors and I could no longer use it, the speaker also stopped working. I replaced the screen and it broke again the same way weeks later. The screen flashed in all sorts of colors and I could no longer use it, the speaker also stopped working. I replaced the screen and it broke again the same way weeks later. Prior to breaking, the phone itself worked fine, but I did not like that the phone did not come with the option to use a different keyboard (only the Samsung keyboard) and the phone's auto-correct was unhelpful because it would change my correctly spelled words. If the phone was sturdier, and more minor customization options were available it would have been great. I'm not picky with phones, I prefer Android, but it just sucks how much I spent on a phone that was so fragile! The phone I used previously really took a beating, and the only reason I stopped using it is because cosmetically it was falling apart, but the system itself still worked! It would be nice if products weren't designed to break so easily.
This is my 4th Samsung Tracfone. I buy a new one each year because why not? Any unused minutes, texts, etc. can be transferred from my old phone to the new one. I tend to text a lot but I can buy a 1,000 texts card from Amazon for $5 and its easy to add to the phone. My only problem is the case I chose for my latest phone. I chose the clear case with flowers on it. I have to remove the phone from this case in order to plug in the charger because the case seems to be too thick for the charging plug to securely connect to the phone. Its not a big deal but of my four phones this is the only one that has this problem. I wonder is anyone else has experienced this. Since I purchased this product and called to have it's activation, I have had no problems, concerns, or issues with it and have not had to reach out to Samsung or my carrier for any reason.I am a very pleased, satisfied customer. I give 5 stars to my Samsung Galaxy A12.
I use my A12 for gaming, mostly, among other daily uses. I was always throughly surprised with the battery life, because I could play games as large as COD Mobile for hours without it dying. I was able to use it all day, pretty much every day, with no problem. The audio, graphic and camera quality, were pretty good. However... one day, my phone just shut off with no warning, never to be turned on again. I'm still to this day unaware why this happened, or even if it was my fault.Overall, however, great phone. Rarely overheated, rarely died, and was great for daily usages too. SUPER sturdy build, I dropped it often.
My husband and I bought Samsung A12 phones in May 2022 and are VERY disappointed!!!this is my third Samsung phone and I have always rated them very highly BUT this model is nothing but trouble.both phones often say they are overheating, even when they have not been used for some time and have been sitting in a cool place inside our home. When this happens we cannot open any apps even our contacts or make phone calls.I recently went on a chat line and chatted with someone for over half an hour before they told me they couldn't help me because they only dealt with USA. they then gave me a number for Australia.I rang the number and spoke to CHUKKA S from Samsung Care. I was on each phone for an hour. This person got remote access to each phone and went through ... It is the same signal we have always had and this has never happened before.there is definitely a problem with these phones.
