I wanted to upgrade my phone to one with better camera functionality. I do not need an overly-complex phone - just a smart phone with a decent camera and a keyboard large enough for my fingers and my eyesight! This fitted the bill. As I was replacing my A20 the functionality was similar enough that the transition was relatively seamless. There was also a straightforward way of setting up the same apps on the new handset that were on my old. Frustratingly the apps were copied over in random order on 10 pages, and I had to spend some time reorganising them into folders and bringing them onto 4 pages only

I'd seriously consider this Samsung phone, but a Violet Phone? Who walks around with a purple phone? The Joker, maybe, but not a normal person. It's a stupid color. Any other color choices? I like Samsung, but i'm not walking around with a purple phone, and neither are many, many other people who would otherwise seriously consider purchasing this Samsung A54. Marketing stupidity again!

Just bought this phone in the awesome violet colour and set it up today. It looks fantastic and feels expensive. The weight is good and all the functions appear to work well (though it is still early days). The screen quality is crystal clear and the camera takes beautiful photos. I am looking forward to trying out all the functions.

Nice phone good picture/screen quality but battery is horrid. Lucky if it lasts a couple of hours and that's only checking weather and emails. (Only last 2 days without a sim in it). Not good for anything like gaming or browsing the net etc. Need to carry around a power pack to keep it charged. Not worth the cost for the battery issues. Solve those and it would be a fantastic phone.
Pros: The phone is really excellent. The camera quality and the speed of connecting to apps and the Internet connection is fast. I've only had the phone for a month, so I'm still getting used to itCons: Sometimes the screen brightness adjusts it's self, but it doesn't happen very often
Do not let the low price put you off from buying this phone. I've bought this phone to replace my ageing s9+ but really didn't want to waste over £800 just to have the latest flagship phone.I am extremely pleased with the A54 5G and other than wireless charging (which my S9+ had but I never used) it does everything and more that 99.9% would want from a mobile phone.- The screen quality is excellent as I expected from AMOLED technology- Excellent 50mp Camera!- More than sufficient storage at 128gb- 5G- Good size form factor- Very good sized 5000mah battery
I had an Huawei for 4 years but unfortunately had a problem with it. I was thinking of purchasing the S23 but lucky for me Samsung released the A54 , got a great deal from Very and the phone is great, I,m not tied into a 24 month contract either. I ,m still on my sim only deal . I made the right choice
The Phone comes highly carved around the corner. Reset Bugs of old phones S10 with authentication we will see. But the A54 5G looks good camera yeaah A74, size a bit to big frame okay it is over 200 gram + full case 30 you feel it when you read or watch. Pocket able but easy slip outs possible. Hardware performance stable fast, USB c 3.2 not but sd card for transfer so fine. Samsung telemetry is there. Smarter features similar to honor rotating screen panels fast access of Bluetooth Inet etc. Smart gestures more please. New Tabs for search etc let's find out. Date in top panel still not. Batterylevel over 5000 is with smooth handling a 2 day run. Brightness okay night modes eye shield still to bright.
Nice weight, solid build, very quick screen response, figerprint unlock actually works, great photos, decent battery, easy to move files and apps from previous A70. Chose violet and love it. Daughter has appropriated the free earbuds, wont see those again. Tenner or so a month for three years is excellent. Just missing wireless charging for the perfect phone at a reasonable price.
