The problem with most Buds and headsets is that you do eventually start getting that feeling as though your ear is clogged, but to my surprise, Samsung thought of that. There is a mode that you can activate on both Buds simultaneously or individually that creates sort of a pass through to help relieve that clogged feeling, and it works so good that (at least for me) you may forget that you are even wearing them. The craftsmanship and durability are top notch. You get good solid bass, great mids and highs, and an overall solid, clear sound - calls, music, video, games, all of it. When I am winding down, I enjoy listening to ambient sounds or snow storms and the like; these Buds faithfully present even the subtlest of nuances. Pure and solid. The battery life is great. The case charges quickly, providing several charges to each bud on the go. Sleek and beautiful product.

I was on the hunt for new headphones that didn't feel like they were constantly falling out. Other than apple headphones, I always struggle with finding anything that sits well and stays without needing constant readjustment. I purchased these, and Dr. Dre Beats Pro and these won, hands down. The appearance is strange and I didn't anticipate these fitting and staying as well as they did. I can put these in and shake my head around: no movement. I can't say the same for any other headphone I've owned, including the ones that came with multiple rubber tips to find the most appropriately sized one--none of them stayed well. The case has a nice weight to it, and the headphones snap into it very nicely. My only complaint is I wish it were textured similar to an xbox ... My only complaint is I wish it were textured similar to an xbox elite controller; the texture of the case is very slippery. I'm already shopping for a case because otherwise I'll be dropping these constantly.Sound: Amazing. While this doesn't have the traditional equalizer options like some other manufacturers provide, I'm not mad about what is provided. Within the Galaxy Buds Live app there are 6 equalizer presets: Normal, bass boost, soft, dynamic, clear and treble boost. I thought I'd favor bass boost because I like punchier sound but dynamic blew it out of the park. You can view the battery level of each headphone within the app as well as use the find my earbuds option which makes them beep, and isn't like the find my... apple feature. There's an option for active noise cancelling which I haven't tested yet, but if it's anything like everything else, I'm sure I'll like it.Battery life: Listed as 8 hours and I seldom use them for that long, but I'm hoping to update this in the future to confirm/deny this. When I was picking headphones, it was between these, airpods and Beats Fit Pro. Airpods were immediately ruled out for the battery life of 6 hours--I work from home but the times I have to go into my place of employment, I need them to last 8 hours minimum and having to charge them throughout the day is inconvenient.Connectivity: Fairly straight forward, but initial setup was a bit of a pain. It synced with my iPhone flawlessly, much like a set of airpods do with the pop up prompting you to register the headphones to your phone. When I tried to sync them to my gaming PC is where the problem came in--trying to connect via the bluetooth options was giving me nothing, nor was trying with the galaxy bud app from the microsoft store. IF you're trying to do this and having the same issue, unpair the headphones from your phone and turn off bluetooth, then sync with your PC. When I turned off bluetooth on my phone, it wasn't enough and my PC still didn't recognize them as available. As soon as i unregistered them, it popped up to add. Now I have it synced with my phone and PC and while turning music off on one and starting it on the other doesn't auto switch, it's a simple button push in the bluetooth menu which isn't a deal breaker for me.Overall a great headphone and I'm excited to see how they fare during cleaning, yard work, etc.

I've had these buds since they were released and I'm disappointed they don't get the love they deserve. I've had several styles of earbuds (noise canceling and open ear style) and these are by far my favorite, allow let me count the ways:1. Easy, comfortable fit- I have smaller inner ears and most traditional earbuds either won't stay in my ears or become painful after 30 minutes of use. (AirPods 1 & 2) These stay in my ear easily and don't create pressure points in my ear, but primarily, because they don't use stems that press on my outer ear. I like to wear them when I'm driving as well as going about my business through out the day and the "open ear" style allows me to hear my surroundings enough that I don't feel disconnected or like I'm in a pressure ... MoreI've had these buds since they were released and I'm disappointed they don't get the love they deserve. I like to wear them when I'm driving as well as going about my business through out the day and the "open ear" style allows me to hear my surroundings enough that I don't feel disconnected or like I'm in a pressure chamber.2. Great looking- Not that this one matters all that much, but I like that I'm not signaling everyone in my area that I have in buds. While I have a pair of AirPods 2, I prefer the aesthetic of the Live Buds. They're discreet enough that most people don't realize I have them in unless I remove them or tap them to pause a song or podcast. I also love that the case is small and will fit in the change pocket of my jeans on casual Fridays.3. Battery Life- With the "noise canceling" off, I easily get 5 and a half hours on a charge. (2 years after purchase) and the case allows me 3 to 4 charges before needing to be slapped on a charger. Combined with the wireless charging ability that comes standard (SMH at Apple) and there's no need to worry about getting through a normal day.3. Sound quality- The out-of-the-box sound quality is fantastic, which is great since the Wear app leaves much to be desired. They're really isn't any customization other than choosing "noise canceling" off or on. The thing that impressed me the most was the depth and quality of the bass, especially for buds that aren't truly noise-canceling. I listen to a lot of podcasts and pop music but when one of my old school hip hop songs comes up there is a surprising amount of oomph in the low end. I would consider the AirPods 1 and 2's the closest competitors in both price and sound quality and the Live Buds beats the Gen 1's hands down. The Gen 2's are on equal footing in bass and overall sound quality, but I still prefer the mids and higher end in the Live's mix.I've pointed out my favorite things about these buds so let's be fair and point out the less-than-stellar parts.1. Claimed "Noise Canceling" - there is none. Sure, I can hear a slight difference but not enough that I would have put it in the product description. Why even bother with that feature? True noise-canceling needs you to seal the ear canal in order to get the effect and these are designed expressly not to do that. So why claim it and create disappointment in customers when they go in with that expectation? I have no idea, but then again I don't sell millions of dollars worth of tech each year so I shouldn't sweat it.2. No customization of sound profile- As I stated earlier in my review, I really like the sound profile of these buds but it would be nice to be able to tweak the sound to meet a person's prefered listening style. Especially for what I paid for these back when they came out. Granted, the primary competition doesn't offer any customization either, but I would think that would be a nice one up the other guys.3. Not the best for working out- Now don't get me wrong, I'm not some workout warrior that's testing the limits of IPX ratings. I'm more the guy who is sometimes runs after his dog when she bolts after a squirrel. In those cases, let's just say it's a blessing that you can use the locate my buds feature. If you need to tie a shoelace, you're safe, but you may need to reposition them a little. I wouldn't recommend using them for more than a brisk walk.In summary, if you're looking for a good pair of buds that are comfortable for smaller ears, great sounding, and a value when compared with the competition (especially now that you can grab them for less than $100 on sale) then do yourself a favor and check these out.

Bought these on sale & after owning would pay the original retail price 3 years ago!! I was returning a pair of different buds by whoever, in earbuds and found these on clearance at the store so figured I'd try them! Believe it or not my fiance had a pair of these exact ones that she flushed them down the toilet with a pair of my cheaper earbuds about a year ago because she got so sick of me ignoring her cuz with my earbuds, I listen to music so much especially if she's on one, lol 🤣 That was a stupid mistake cuz these are awesome earbuds! I was going to buy a pair of expensive over the ear phones when I ended up buying these on a whim because I had the matching perfect phone for them! I was going to buy a pair of expensive over the ear phones when I ended up buying these on a whim because I had the matching perfect phone for them! I had TINY EXPECTATIONS BECAUSE All the Bud's I've bought either just weren't comfortable or always break, they just kept being crap no matter what I spent or brand i tried! I can't tell you how well Samsung makes things compared to other brands thier always leagues above, for not being Japanese or American it's surprising that a Korean company can design and engineer and have build quality like they do in electronics! I still have my Note 20 ultra, had note 8, note 4, s9, s8, s4, s3, the my touch..... The goat 🐐, Bahhha, "NOTE 20 ULTRA" (THE VERY BEST OF ALL SAMSUNG NOTES, SO BEST OF SAMSUNG EVER MADE PERIOD.....I EVEN HAVE THE MADE IN KOREA MODEL), just so y'all know they make Samsung phones in a few countries, the made in Korea phones are always VERY BEST QUALITY BUILD, IT'S JUST LUCK IF YOU GET A VIETNAM OR KOREA OR WHATEVER! I LOVE THE SAMSUNG NOTE SERIES, I don't think I'll ever sell it OR SWITCH UP, SAMSUNG BETTER GET IT TOGETHER N GET A NEW NOTE RELEASE SOON! Was the last of the great SAMSUNG notes, so I think I'll just hold on to it forever, it'll go up in collectable value, BET! ♾️ I've had a Samsung smartphone since the first Samsung smartphone the (MY TOUCH) was before there was even a Samsung model called a galaxy or an (I anything) FACTS for ya youngens. I'm very disappointed in Samsung for discontinuing the note series, these flip, fold, new old thang phones do not compare! Samsung bring back the note, SERIOUSLY PERMANENTLY 💯! Just to clarify these Galaxy buds live ARE ANOTHER GREAT BY SAMSUNG RETIRED WITH THE NOTE 20 SERIES, SAMSUNG HAD A BRILLIANT YEAR IN 2020, 12MM SPEAKER IS THE LARGEST IN ANY BUDS & THESE ARE JUST DIFFERENT THAN ANYTHING NOTHING SIMILAR! They are not Korean made, VIETNAMESE made but I'm not going to just assume I'll get Korean made items from Samsung so to be expected! These in my opinion have the perfect mix of airflow & sound waves coming through with sound waves being kept out along with (light) active noise canceling when needed and also a setting for the opposite of ANC, if needed! Perfect touch control & features! They have the perfect set of speakers to pickup your voice on video or calls very well too, they're so well made they even built them to recognize your jaw movements with the internal speaker & they also have in ear detectors so they know when to ring or phone rings! They have spacial audio Samsung version called 360 for movies, Thier adobe Atmos capable, they use Samsungs proprietary Bluetooth codec SSC, with good bitt rate & distance on par with the best codecs out... I WILL WARN EVERYONE, IF YOU PURCHASE THESE KEEP MOST SETTINGS JUST OFF COMPLETELY IF YOU HAVE A SAMSUNG PHONE & KEEP 360 SPACIAL AUDIO OFF UNLESS WATCHING A MOVIE, JUST PUT DOBY ATMOS ON WITH SAMSUNGS BUILT IN (ADAPT SOUND FEATURE SET TO YOUR HEARING) SET TO YOUR HEARING AND IF YOU NEED ANC THATS COOL BUT IF YOU OVERDUE SETTINGS OR DONT ACTUALLY STUDY HOW THESE ACTUALLY FIT (OUTSIDE YOUR EARS) NOT IN EARS & THE RIGHT TWIST & FEEL REALLY TAKES A WEEK OR SO TO GET USED TO, YOU'LL THINK THIER UNCOMFORTABLE & BADLY DESIGNED ALSO THE BLUETOOTH WILL CONSTANTLY CUTOUT EVEN JUST PUTTING PHONE IN POCKET & WALKING WITH THEM ON YOUR EARS BECAUSE THE FITMENT IS (VERY IMPORTANT BECAUSE THIER ANTENNA IS ONLY GOOD WHEN YOU'RE WEARING THEM CORRECT & NOT OVER SETTING THEN UP, THIER PRETTY SOLID OUT THE BOX WITH SAMSUNG ADAPT SOUND & ATMOS), they're made of metal and they're far better than any other pair of buds I've had, THAT ALL HAVE broken on me OR JUST LET ME DOWN OR WERE NOT COMFORTABLE and these don't seem like they're going to ever disappoint me even if there's better newer versions these are just a simple story of what was good is always good & shouldn't be replaced just tweaked, LIKE REPLACING THE NOTE SERIES IS FOOLISH TOO! Also these just fit in your ears such a ODD, good looking & MADD comfortable way, idk what these south Korean designers be on but these Samsung engineers were on x 10 when they dropped these with the last Note! I hope Samsung keeps producing them & just tweaking them for years because they were on something dope with these buds live.... (FREE THE NOTE)

First off, these are not the kind of headphones that will knock your socks off. If you didnt catch that indication by the price, then thats me saying it.However, these are the kind of headphones that have decent sound, subpar Active Noise Cancelation, and in my opinion, a perfect design that executes a simple fit that i have yet to see anywhere else on the market.I have tested Beats, other Samsung models, Airpods (base and pro), and more… and the only model that came remotely close to ear-fit without fatigue over extended use were the AirPods Pro 2 closely followed by the Pixel Buds Pro.These are simple, they’re pleasing to the eye - while also taking on the approach of almost being unnoticeable depending on the color you get. These are one of my favorite ... As I said the audio won’t blow you away but it’s also not something that you’re going to regret buying either. And I won’t bore you with all the technical jargon as most people in this price range are just looking for a decent pair of earbuds that aren’t a waste of money. And considering these used to be up in the high $100’s and have since dropped due to other models that Samsung has brought forth, I would say these are a great buy!As I said they do have subpar active noise cancellation. If you’re looking for premiere ANC then go with AirPods Pro or Sony’s WF/XM4’s. But let’s be honest, that wasn’t the main goal of these buds and with that being stated you can forgive the lack of exceptional clarity when blocking out unwanted noise. Personally I leave the ANC off, especially when I found out, by experience, that it’s just better to leave them off and gain some extra battery life.On that note, the battery life is adequate. I don’t use both buds at the same time very much because 9 times out of 10 I need to have an ear free for various reasons. But even so, they do a good job at not needing to be constantly in the case. The battery within the case is pretty good as well and the fact that it has USB-C brings on one more added benefit when matching to modern standards.I’ve used these via smart TV’s, laptops, Samsung phone, OnePlus and Pixel Phones, as well as the ubiquitous iPhone and there are no complications across any of those devices. Obviously they’re a little more cohesive with any Samsung Phone, but not enough that I would discourage you if you own any of the other branded phones. With all of this being said, I truly hope that Samsung never retires this design. Obviously this particular model will eventually be discontinued BUT I hope they offer a Galaxy Buds Live 2 before that happens, retaining the exact same design with some updated internal specs.I would be surprised if the majority of you didn’t find these buds to be the perfect match for what you’re looking for. They’re a mid-range model while slowly falling to budget-range pricing. At the very least, try them out and see if they’re worth it for you and your set of expectations.
