And because these are not designed with assorted sized replaceable silicone “ear tips”, your fit experience may not be as snug or as comfortable. Therefore, Samsung’s Flagship Buds3 PRO’s may be considered the better option for some users.PAIRING: My initial procedure for all Bluetooth devices is to confirm if they will easily pair with my current assortment of mobile phones, tablets, and laptops. And verify they pair and function well without requiring an application to be downloaded. Hey, that just me.The Buds3 were able to quickly pair for all but one of my electronic devices. With the exception being my week old 2024 mobile phone. Tried all the tricks of the trade, including rereading and following the included instructions, but my phone would not recognize these Buds3 for Bluetooth pairing. Now I was able to pair to my phone only after downloading and installing Samsung’s applications. Consequently, just beware you may require the apps to get these connected.APPLICATION: Ok, let me start with, there are actually two applications required for the Buds3. First, you must download and install the Samsung mother “Galaxy Wearables” application. Second, install Samsung’s daughter “Galaxy Buds3 Manager” application. (Trust me, the “Buds3” app will not function without the “Wearable” app.) Again, without these two apps, these earbuds would not pair with my current mobile phone. Only after both applications were installed, would the Buds3 seamlessly paired up.These Buds3 earbuds provided acceptable performance with my iPad and Android tablets without the application for my first day watching movies, videos, and streaming music. I must say, I was fairly impressed without the app. However, after installing the dual apps on my mobile phone, there was a substantial improvement with sound quality utilizing some of app’s options. The 9-band (63-Hz to 16K-Hz) equalizer is really a must have feature being able to tweak (customize) frequencies to your personal listening pleasure. Also, the Active Noise Canceling feature preformed reasonably well reducing background noise and extraneous sounds when activated. So, just install both apps before pairing.RATING: Once again, for my personal use, these Samsung Galaxy Buds3 earned themselves a solid 5-Star Rating. Please recognize that the numerous reviewers may not be wrong with their low overall assessments. I get it, these buds just didn’t fit their ears. Therefore, if you can wait for the Bud3 PRO’s to be available, and are prepared to pay the premium price for the additional features and specs, then Samsung’s flagship PRO earbuds may well be the better option.

This is a whole new level when having a face-to-face with someone that doesn’t speak your language. If you cannot hear the other person on a video call (A.I call translate feature), it looks like their voice is being dubbed over. Quite remarkable considering this was something I saw many decades ago when watching sci-fi movies and tv shows as a child! This is the future, now!As expected, the sound quality is amazing considering what they have squeezed in to these things. The bass is deep, immersive, the midrange and treble clearly defined, and with specific enhancements on or off, via the app again, the experience can be tailored to everyone's preference.Touch controls are still there on the Buds3 Pro, but this time hidden discreetly on the stems, so those familiar with the earlier Bud versions will have to get used to swiping, pinching, tapping, etc, in different ways. The case can be charged via a USB-C cable or wirelessly, so will keep your Buds3 Pro charged up when not in use. A usual power indicator on the case will alternate between red and green depending on its charge state, and when the case lid is opened, the Buds3 Pro stems light up briefly to show the connection to your device of choice (once set up).The adaptive Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) feature will automatically alter the level of ANC depending on the ambient noise in the vicinity. When auto ANC is fully on, the Buds3 Pro will listen out for alarms, sirens, etc, and will instantly allow external noise through when something like that is detected (think emergency services siren). This feature-rich device will certainly deliver. It is an amazing, immersive, and snug-fitting device that will compliment any arsenal of technology in your possession.

There is a noise cancelling option on these but I'm not convinced it does the job that many will expect compared to 'deep ear' IEMS with ANC options.Whether you like to hear your surroundings or be enveloped in background silence will be personal preference but the advantage of the design of these is that they are very comfortable and do not provide ear fatigue during extended usage.Controls work great - slide on the stalks for volume and presses for track skip and play /pause etc all function as expected.Mic quality is very good from my experience also. Finally, probably the most important part, sound quality. I'm actually blown away by these - they fit my sound preferences almost perfectly via the Balanced eq but absolute hit the spot with a couple of very minor in app eq tweaks. No overblown bass, but still enough tight and punchy bass for the music I listen to coupled with plenty of details in the mids and treble region without ever sounding harsh or artificial.Overall, these are highly recommended and have comfortably exceeded my expectations.

Excellent TWS Buds, perfect for Samsung Users

That does come with a trade off in how premium the buds themselves feel, but it is, in my mind, totally worth it.Between voice controls, 3D audio, high resolution audio codecs, and seamless switching between devices beyond typical implementations of Bluetooth Multipoint, this set is brimming with useful features. This aspect of the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro is tailored best to the Samsung ecosystem, where switching between a Galaxy Book, a Samsung OLED, and an old Galaxy Tab S6 makes for a frictionless experience of a kind basically foreign to the Bluetooth protocol. Having said that my main driver is not a Samsung phone and the fundamentals of the buds - sound, build quality, etc are good enough so that these are worthwhile even if you don't own Samsung devices. At stock settings the sound is v-shaped, bass-heavy, and engaging. There is plenty of bass boom and plenty of sparkle too, though the mids are expectedly recessed.Thankfully a simple EQ function is included in the related app, or you can use your own EQ through other software.Busy electronic tracks sound excellent. Tutara Peak's 'Gold in Autumn' never loses coherence, and the mix of woodwinds, strings, and electric guitar have great separation. With my suggested EQ, I think a lot of airiness is added to a range of tracks. The guitars in 'Gold in Autumn' seem closer to the listener, but the ambient aspects of the track seem to have more space.JPEGMAFIA's Dikembe samples Getz/Gilberto (via the Pharcyde); the famous guitar line is less veiled with boosted mids, again seeming closer to the listener while adding an airy, almost ethereal presence. The same can be said even of the more lo-fi hip hop tracks; Mike's 'Hunger' benefits in the same way, as the rapper's voice is far clearer.Overall, these are excellent buds worth the price of admission for their sound, especially EQ'd. Good battery life and excellent features enhance their value.

Firstly let's start by commending Samsung for making such a well rounded pair of wireless earbuds. These excel in both high-quality audio and comfortable form factor.I usually suffer from having ears that don't accomodate many in ear headphones well, but these seem to fit in my ears very securely, and I didn't have the problem with them falling out over extended periods of use. This could also be adjusted by using the different tips, but I found I didn't need to do this. I even wore them on a run, where the IPX7 water resistance came into play as it was slightly spitting, typical british weather. The sound quality of the Galaxy Buds3 Pro has to be one of the most impressive things about them. The bass is deep, the mids are clear, and the highs are more detailed than ever before. The 360 audio feature really did add spatial audio like I've never heard before and made the experience of using these wireless earbuds even more immersive. The active noise cancellation makes these really stand out from the competition, and you can really use this to block out the external environment like a busy bus or pacled train.Battery life on these were great for me, and with the added battery built into the case I was never caught lacking the use of these wireless buds, even over a prolonged amount of time. Wired and wireless charging available to be utilised on these. These were very easy to pair with my Samsung S24 Ultra, and asked to be connected after I opened the lid of the new buds. The few calls I did with these were very solid in quality with the mutliple microphones able to pick up every word, again, even in noisy environments. To summarise I would say the Galaxy Buds3 Pro are a solid choice for anyone who is looking for some high-quality wirleless buds, especially those in the Samsung eco-system already, as the buds do have some features that are limited to Samsung devices. The fit is superb and the sound quality in a league of it's own for in-ear buds.

From Buds Pro to Buds Pro 3, Very Happy!
9 September 2024

I upgraded from Galaxy Buds Pro to Galaxy Buds Pro 3 (Great return value for my Buds Pro $100). I loved my buds pro, but had a few issues with it, like it slipping out of my ear if my head was sideways and having a hard time answering or hanging up on calls using the headset. Both those issues were fixed with this one! It fits very comfortable in my ear(s) and does not shift or slide at all when I tilt my head. I loved my buds pro, but had a few issues with it, like it slipping out of my ear if my head was sideways and having a hard time answering or hanging up on calls using the headset. The new options available in Galaxy Wearable APP are amazing also, the ability to custom adjust ambient sound by going through essentially a hearing test and it actually working was amazing!! All the settings I played with worked really well. The ability to answer/hang-up works pretty good now and the additional ability to adjust volume allows me to be way more handsfree with my phone then before. I watched a lot of you tube video reviews and half of the reviewers complained about the triangular shape of the arm being awkward, but I found it very comfortable to pinch and they don't tell you that the unit has a slight click when pressed successfully. The headset did not move on me when I pinched and adjust volume with the headset. I set the LED to blink mode, I'm indifferent between blink and ON, not a fan of fade, more like slow blink then fade. The add-on protective case fits very snug to this unit and definitely feels like it will protect my headsets case really well (really well), does not add much mass to the unit as a whole. It does have a small gap in the back to allow the covers joints to move, I imagine over time dust can collect in that area and need me to remove the charger from the case to clean after time, not a deal breaker however. It would have been nice if the protective cover increased it's IP rating, especially for the high price there asking for (I got the protective case as a bonus free add-on, I would not have paid $30 for it). FYI: The protective case top cap hinges are plastic instead of metal pins.Since I purchased this pre-release, I can expect new updates and improvement for a long time!I have only had this unit for 1 week, so no comment on long term use or reliability, except to say my Buds Pro are pretty much like new 3.6 years later

Improvement over last Gen & Solid Choice

Connectivity – This is straightforward with a Samsung Phone; however, I cannot comment on how easy it is on other devices. However, I feel once you have the Galaxy Wear apps, and all relevant aspects downloaded for buds on another android device it would similarly. When using a Samsung phone, you just need to open the case, click connect and off you go! Easy! When using default settings, the earphone pauses the music/video pretty quickly then resumes when you put it back in your ear.Functionality – When using as my daily driver, its pretty easy to forget they are in your ear. When using default settings, the earphone pauses the music/video pretty quickly then resumes when you put it back in your ear.Functionality – When using as my daily driver, its pretty easy to forget they are in your ear. The ambient sound is great and clear, and the voice detection is relatively good apart from few occasions where I’ve said voice command to like ‘music stop’ or ‘next song’ and it hasn’t kicked in but thought I was talking so engages ambient sound for talking to someone. The noise-cancellation is effective but isn’t needed all the time as the sound isolation is pretty good for earbuds of these class (better in my ear than some others I’ve tested). The sound equaliser options are very varied and allows for decent amount of customisation, could be better though. Auto-switching to phone audio when earbuds are removed is nice touch, this along with auto-switch to ambient sound when sirens are detected. Note that the voice commands work well with any phone as they are tied to earbuds and not the phone and that there is a small issue if you grab the bottom of the stem during a call you may end the call (as I discovered during an interview).Sound – The basic equaliser settings are pretty good but starts out on balanced when first paired with your phone, personally I’d recommend the dynamic setting for more full and accurate sound profile as ‘balanced’ profiles a flat sound profile, along with clear. However, the earbuds will automatically adjust the overall sound to your ear ‘fit’, but there is no detail on how this is achieved. The sound itself its clear and has had me thinking I’ve heard things outside of the music or podcasts, but it’s just been a sound coming from the earbuds. The adaptive noise-cancellation works well, and the adjustable active noise cancellation.Overall, I’d recommend these earbuds in a heartbeat to anyone looking to upgrade their old earbuds. Definitely an upgrade from previous generations from Samsung and look forward to smaller improvements made with new software releases in the future.

Outstanding new Samsung buds pro 3

The weight of the earbuds keep them nicely secured in ear, while remaining comfortable for hours on end.Call quality - the introduction of a new stem design has allowed Samsung to radically improve call quality compared to previous generations, and these Buds are among the best on the market for call quality, including voice isolation and clarity.Sound quality - using a dual speaker solution providing a dedicated woofer for optimal low end, the sound signature of these Buds is outstanding straight out of the box. The new setup also allows them to adapt effectively to the different sound modes offered by the dedicated app.Noise cancelling - Yet again I have been blown away by the noise cancelling of these Buds. On a plane, train or bus they are fantastic at cancelling out the low end rumble of the engine. In an office they're less effective as they're not well suited for cancelling voices and other higher pitch noises like doors, keyboards etc.Overall I'm very happy with the Buds Pro 3. By any measure that's important to me, they are a cut above the rest. If there was a way to find the case when they're stored away, or find my phone when I have the case, they would be flawless!

Super premium and easy to use

Having now used the Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro for 24hrs, I am providing my initial thoughts on this product and will be sure to update if i find anything changes.I have previously owned a few different iterations of Samsung Galaxy Buds and Buds Pros and have come from the Galaxy Buds2 Pro's which I have used for 2 years since they launched. I was initially very hesitant to see Samsung using a completely new design for them in the Buds3 Pro and was not sure about upgrading however I have to say I am truly glad I did. These earphones have improved on all the features i have come to love previously. The ANC is much more powerful than before and truly blocks out most sounds and also has controls for how much noise you want to block out. I have found the adaptive sound mode the best for my personal use and keep the voice detect and siren detect on so the Buds switch automatically if i need to be alerted to something or someone starts talking to me. These buds also have a new voice command feature which you can use by simply saying basic commands without having to touch the Buds, i have found myself using this to quickly change the volume or play the next song but imagine it would be especially useful if working out.The design has also changed this generation since they have an all new stem design, this helps dramatically improve the call quality of others being able to hear you thanks to the microphones being closer to your mouth. I was also initially concerned about switching from tapping on side of the previous generation to the new pinch/swipe controls found on the Buds3 Pro, however found myself quickly adjusting to this. Once i found exactly where and how to swipe/pinch i found this comtrol system much more intuitive and easier to use. The Buds3 Pro also features new blade lights on the side which you can turn on or off depending your preference.Additionally the new design of the case looks so much more premium and uses a magnet to keep the lid closed and also also magnets to keep the buds in the case. This helps ensure even if you accidentally drop the case the Buds will stay secure in the case. Another welcome addition is a new pairing button on the bottom of the case meaning you can easily pair with any bluetooth device.I would highly recommend these to both customers who are considering upgrading their existing wireless earphones and to those who are completely new to wireless earphones as the Buds3 Pro are super premium and easy to use.

Wireless earbuds with ANC?
10 August 2024

Diving right in to the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3, this is your typical in the ear bud with its own built in self charging case. Like most ear buds out there you expect to see the same similar options such as quick access buttons, built in EQ's and even anc (active noise cancellation). The question is how well does this fit in to your day to day life and where is the most ideal place to use this?Getting the basics out of the way, a fully charged case/buds yielded me about 7 hours of run time with the case giving me about 3 full charges from a 30% bud battery life. Fitment of the buds is actually pretty interesting in the fact that it always gives you a very insecure feeling. Maybe its just me, but i have always felt that this style of earbuds always feels insecure and about to fall out since they never truly go in to the ear canal. Using this set up in the gym while lifting weights always gave me the impression it was going to fall out, and while it never actually came out during my workout it left very little confidence in me that it wouldn't. Jogging or running on the other hand was a different story. Several times i felt myself having to re-adjust the position and even on one occasion the left bud popped out completely. These buds are 100% not my go to for the gym life. Another thing i noticed while on the topic is Samsungs ANC option with this bud. I have to say i was very very disappointed with how bad it performed and wish it was never even a option this way it wouldn't reflect so poorly on Samsung. So ANC is a awesome feature to have when it is properly built in to a headset. It blocks outside noise pollution which allows you to really hear the music in all its entirety and allows you to concentrate when doing your daily workouts, routines, or simply taking a bus or train ride home. Since the Buds 3 never truly enters the ear canal when the ANC feature is activated there is very little to almost no change heard. What i mean by this is that even though i can hear the ANC feature activate, outside noise is still very prevalent and noticeable. I mean ask yourself, how can outside noise pollution truly be blocked if there is never a tight seal around your ear canal? You will hear everything going on around you and i mean literally everything regardless of how loud your music is blasting. Samsung also decided to implement quick action buttons which allow you to skip the next song, answer a call, mute a song or you can set it up to do something different via the app. The problem i had with this feature is it requires to basically pinch the bottom portion of the ear bud. I would of preferred a touch feature option as every time you pinch or squeeze the bottom portion of the ear bud you tend to knock it out of place due to the fact that it never truly sits tight inside your ear canal.Enough about the features that make this lack luster and on to the audio quality. All i have to say is thank god for the audio quality or else this set up would be useless. The audio quality is hands down the best i have ever heard in any style ear bud. The option to active 360 audio makes it even more immersive and almost difficult to tell if what you are hearing is coming from your music or something around you. I have to say that i did not expect my audio lyrics and tones to come in so full and vibrant and pack a punch even with bass drops. I thought for sure i would get so much bleed through since the buds did not sit all the way inside the ear allowing sound to bleed in and out. But i was wrong, the music was a breathe of fresh air and everything from mids to lows came in perfectly with no single one over stepping another beat. The lyrics were crystal clear and packed so clean of a punch that it almost felt like the singer was standing next to me. While watching netflix movies on my phone there was one moment where a scene took place that involved a car chase and as the car flew past the scene it literally sounded like a car was coming behind me so much so that i actually looked behind me because i genuinely thought a car was coming. The 360 sound is by far some of the best and well made sound i have heard and probably helped saved this set up from being another average bud. Here's the bottom line. If your the kind of person who cant stand the feel of true in the ear earbuds but don't want to sacrifice sound quality then this is right up your ally. If you are looking for something you can take on your active adventures rather it be bike riding, working out, running, etc, then this would be a hard pass for me. If are looking for something to wear while you are working in the office and take that long bus ride back home, i'd pass as the ANC feature is pretty much useless and you truly won't get any audio privacy. But if your looking for something you can throw in while your working from home or laying around in bed then pick this up. For me as much as the audio quality stands out this is a hard pass for my day to day routines as my routines are usually pretty active and is always surround by the city sounds of the hustle and bustle life. However when im getting ready to unwind at night and am laying in bed i usually put these buds in simply due to how well they sound. At the end of the day you need to determine how it is you plan on using them and rather or not it will fit in to that day to day routine for you.
