Mint? Restored to new condition by Manufacturer? So why did the battery on mine go from 100% at 2:30pm to 0% at 9:50pm on the day after I received it? When the screen had only been used as a satnav and Bluetooth music for 2.5hrs round trip, and 37 minutes total of intermittent web browsing, (not video or gaming) during that <8 hour 'day', I also turned the screen brightness down to very low settings after the first half an hour as I worried it might not make it without charge for the way home! (I have a car charger, but needed to see how bad this phone was) The battery is trash, and I have already re-transfered all of my data BACK to my old phone. I would have expected more. This review is about this phone, as sold on this site. Yes the phone has some great features, but the one sold to me, was awful AND I didn't even attempt 8K video or 120hz gaming, the battery was HOT whilst doing the Samsung instalation!!!

I purchased this phone from a private seller listing on Swappa in March 2024. The listing was a bit of a unicorn being a brand new 2020 model Galaxy S20 5G for about the same price I could purchase the device refurbished elsewhere. I was specifically looking for this model phone because it was the last flagship Galaxy model to feature an SD card slot but it still had most of the newer features such as 5G cell service and 6G Wi-Fi capability. It was even on my same carrier which was a bonus. The phone came exactly as described, I swapped my sim card, put a case on it and am extremely pleased. Upgrading from a Galaxy S9 there are several improvements but the phone is slightly narrower so typing with my wide thumbs will take some getting used to.It is unfortunate that ... MoreI purchased this phone from a private seller listing on Swappa in March 2024. I have been a Galaxy user since the very beginning and the ability to expand storage and replace the battery was what first made me choose Samsung and Android over Apple's iPhone. Samsung stopped the replaceable batteries after the Galaxy S5 and I begrudgingly accepted that but this will likely be my last Samsung phone. I simply refuse to take the risk that all my photos and data can be lost if the phone fails and won't power on. I will not pay a monthly fee to store my photos on a cloud somewhere either. Samsung did not have to do away with the SD card slot, the dual slot tray is the same set up they use for international models that have dual sim configurations. No, they deliberately did it to sell more subscriptions to their cloud service and gain the ability to charge twice as much for devices having a couple of small sticks of extra onboard memory. Companies have slowly worn away our flexibility of choice so they can collect monthly subscription revenue and take advantage of the ever growing need for more storage. I do what I can to not fall in line with that trend.

I'm a Samsung Galaxy fan and have been appreciating them since the S6. I had an iPhone at one point but ended up switching back to Samsung because the camera was better, and from what I can see, it keeps getting better! With this S20+5G, there's little improvements all over. The battery lasts longer, the pictures are clearer, the processing time faster. The only downside to this phone for me is the size. Sure, its nice to have a larger screen, but lets not forget this is a handheld device and should fit comfortably into said hand. I find the large size makes it a little difficult for me do do everything one handed at times. It's not a deal breaker though, all said, I love this phone.

Bit biased probably as I ove Samsung products since they started making the 'S' range. Think I began with an S3, but I've stopped at my current phone, this one, the S20. This has been a great phone and still is. . I've actually had it for over 3 years now. Camera is fab on it, so crisp and clear. The battery life, even after 3 years and its still pretty good. I use my phone a lot, every day, all day so it does get a fair work out each day.. The size for me is perfect too. Nice screen size, easy to read and not too small to watch videos and movies while on holiday or during a flight. Think we're around the S23 mark with Samsung now, but I'm still in love with my S20 so sticking with it until the battery gives up on me or I lose it, whichever come first!! It still looks sleek and stylish and quite modern. Only thingb i'd like more if it overlaps had more editing abilities built in to it for adapting pics. It's fine because there's loads of apps for it, but it'd be good if the phone had it inbuilt. Still love it though and would highly reccommend
It took somel getting used to this cellphone. I do love the new features, more memory storage, and the camera! I have some issues with the location of certain this, like the delete button, but I am sure that is another this to get used to. Every app is on this cell that I did not think was available. I do like that, too. Battery charges really fast and last me all day, even with heavy use. I picked up this device about two years ago coming from a Galaxy S8 Plus and I was completely blown away! This phone is one of the best phones Samsung has ever made! The first thing I had to test out when I first got the phone was the 120hz refresh and man is it a night and day difference with the smoother experience it makes just navigating and scrolling through apps! If you've never used a 120hz screen before you'll never want to turn it off after experiencing it on the phone! If you enjoy watching content and love those bright vibrant colors then you will love this phone. It boasts a 6.7 Amoled screen which is plenty huge for a mobile display and on top of that having one of the best displays on the market, what more can you ask for!? Even though this phone launched in 2020 its big battery and still, plenty powerful processor are still capable of handling everything you throw at including heavy or light gaming, surfing the web, consuming media, and much more. While the camera isn't the best anymore as it is 2022 the shots and videos that this phone can take are still astonishing! Trust me when I say you will not be disappointed with this phone's camera performance! Last but not least this phone is the last Series S phone to still have a micro sd card which is a nice feature to still have as most do not.
Received the phone in an flat envelope, and the box inside was paper thin with no protection, but someone wasn't damaged in that way,BUT the phone had 4 deep scratches on the screen that you could feel. One was basically a crack(i do have pictures of the package and screen if needed) It was described as "looks new, works like new" which was a sad joke. I bought this phone as a Christmas present and went through walmart because it was a day quicker getting here, and i (THOUGHT) it would be easier to return and get my money back incase it was a disaster so i would have time to get something else before Christmas. I was wrong. I took it into the store on the 22nd to return it,and was told I wouldn't get my money back until they shipped it back to the seller and they ... MoreReceived the phone in an flat envelope, and the box inside was paper thin with no protection, but someone wasn't damaged in that way,BUT the phone had 4 deep scratches on the screen that you could feel. I took it into the store on the 22nd to return it,and was told I wouldn't get my money back until they shipped it back to the seller and they "approved" the return,so they just gave me a receipt.i just received my money back into my account today 13 days after i returned it at the customer service desk! The phone was $10 more than the regular seller on Amazon that DOES refurbish the phones properly. I made the mistake of trying to speed thngs up my 1 day(dont do it). When i turned it into the store it should've been considered returned at that moment which probably would've sped things up a few days. Dont order anything from walmart online unless its a normal walmart item. With Amazon i would've had my money in no more than 3 days if not instant. I could possibly be persuaded to remove or change this review if treated properly for my troubles.
Dislikes: No headphone plug. That's it.Likes: EVERYTHING ELSE! We went with this phone because it had the features we NEEDED (and a TON of cool things that weren't NEEDs), and it was listed as working with my wife's Bluetooth hearing aids. We had been using iPhones for her and I DISPISE them BUT they readily worked with the app for her hearing aids. The switch for my carrier was SUPER Simple. I popped the SIM out of the iPhone and popped it, and an extra 128gb Micro SD card, in the Samsung and we were up and running! No muss, no fuss. PS: my carrier is Xfinity. Switched from Verizon back when Xfinity Mobile just came into the area. Been VERY happy with them.It is FAST, has good battery life, a great screen, several biometric ID choices, can actually use my WiFi to access all or files on our home file server (NAS/SAN)! I spent the time to peruse all the settings (Windows Geek, I know) and tuned it for her use. A little adjustment got me from my cheap $100 Motorola (2022) to a higher level phone and we were off! The wife is adjusting well too. Importing the data from iPhone and Google was EASY using the Smart Switch app that came on the phone and loading the iPhone version on the wife's iPhone. Did it using Bluetooth/WiFi and was done in a jiffy. The biggest pain was installing all her Apple apps using Android versions and then opening them all making sure she could log in and "get around" ok.I DO recommend getting a case for it as it is thin and slick and my old large hands and fingers sometimes touch the screen causing unexpected behaviors and dropping it IS a VERY real fear! My case SHOULD be here today or tomorrow. If we had the $$$, I would upgrade my Motorola G Power (2022) to this same Samsung S20 (5G / 128gb memory) in a heartbeat!
