There are tons of options in personal settings so you can customize your phone to suit your needs. The available options and multiple settings for quick and easy setup as well as accessibility to help those with any impairment to set up their phone with voice or hand commands if required. A simple call or text, surfing the web, shopping or accessing an online account is at the tip of your finger or via voice command in almost any situation. Camera is great. Sound is pretty good too. Could have had better options for playing music from multiple genres without having to modify settings for each song. But I think all devices could sound better. With the technology out there all music players could do better. I also wish there was a SD card slot. I listen to music a lot and would prefer to store my Playlists on a SD card then it take up so much storage space. Upgrading to a larger internal storage space was a very big price jump that I myself wasn't willing or able to dig deeper into my pockets for. All in all, I would definitely recommend this phone to anyone.

Samsung Pay I think it's called?I had no idea what I was missing. These services are mind-blowing to me. I didn't even have cloud storage prior to this phone and I am content creator. I can't put into words what Microsoft OneDrive has done for my workflow, and I'd have never found about it if I didn't get this Samsung Galaxy.I love it beyond measure, am a devoted Galaxy customer for life, and the iPhone, while definitely a cool piece of tech, has got NOTHING on what Samsung has done with the Galaxy line. This device is incredible.

Good gaming/photography phone
6 August 2023

In my opinion you're getting a solid phone for the money, I'm a online gamer the phone does get hot, very hot but it does not freeze up or lag out and I can keep visual settings up. Under continuous use the battery does as expected. I just use the charger. Noted 30 watt charger is supported on this phone cutting charging speeds in half.Photos. I think this phone has a great camera! Anyone that I show a picture to says wow that's a great camera and ask what kind of phone it is it's usually an iPhone person that asks. I have had no real significant problems with the phone in that time. What I suggest this phone? Yes and no it's a great phone especially if you're a gamer or like taking pictures but and this is the reason I will only give it four stars is... availability of cases protectors anything to do with the phone itself in any kind of stores is almost non-existent.

Great cameras but poor performance
27 August 2023

The performance should have been a lot better than what I have got. The UI seems to lag quite frequently especially when you first start up the phone and I don't just been when you wake it up after shutting it down. I mean waking it from standby. Exiting apps is extremely and concerningly choppy at times but most of the time, the UI does remain smooth. It drops to 60hz more than I would like so performance is very underwhelming. The battery life has been nothing special but good enough that I can kill it in a day but most of the time, it will last about 4-5 hours of screen on time. The cameras have been extremely good for me (including video) but I would have preferred a slightly better night mode quality but it is better than what you pay for. One UI is nicely layed out and I like it. The display is excellent although the talk aspect ratio does bug me when watching 16:9 videos. Overall, it is a great phone which has been bottlenecked by a lacklustre chip or whatever is causing this lag that I see way more often than I should.

Not for hot climates

Overall it's a fairly decent phone. I don't have a case on it and it still overheats while trying to watch a video and especially while using the camera. Going with the camera, Samsung..this has 3 camera lenses..fix your software. 22 pictures and not one is usable is laughable. Just an idea but maybe if you weren't so focused on releasing a new phone every year like some big automaker and allowed your team of engineers some time to create, go in depth, and test new features, especially in real-world settings, I belive your phones would skyrocket in quality and bring the Samsung name back to being known for amazing and reliable electronics. I'm a die-hard Samsung fan but it does seem like quality has dropped off a bit. And not everyone uses their phones in a 20⁰C environment, in my case, the average is around 32⁰C and even with a fan blowing on it and no case, it still gets too hot to operate. I took a temperature reading of my screen the last time it got too hot..it read 44⁰C. Just carrying it around in my pocket outside caused the adhesive to soften enough that the backplate came off. Again, maybe give your engineers time to focus on a quality phone and test said phone meticulously before release. Just an opinion of course.

Though the experience isn't without an occasional hiccup, the experience left me satisfied and the speed of the device is still remarkable. The Camera array on this device is a triple camera set up with a 12 MP main camera, a 12 MP ultra wide and a 64 MP sensor used for telephoto capabilities and 8k recording at 24 fps.Though the 8K recording seems to still be rather limited, the phone shines in taking stills in challenging lighting situations and the video quality is of great quality in good lighting. In lower light, both the Main and Ultra wide cameras arecapable of outputting great photos especially when utilizing the night mode function. Lowlight videos tend to suffer from noise and lessened stability though the output is still among the upper tier of smartphone video. Overall the camera array still holds ups even 2 years later, and the results speak for themselves. After 2 years, the battery life has depleted a bit and there are occasional hiccups that occur when performing challenging tasks. Despite this, the S21 5G has handled every obstacle and challenge I've put it through. I've dropped the phone countless times, handled it roughly and even so the phone holds up. I hope to hold on to this device for a bit longer before I upgrade to hopefully an even better Galaxy S device.

SYSTEM DATA HOGS UP OVER HALF OF AVAILABLE UNUPGRADEABLE INTERNAL MEMORY
9 May 2023

Galaxy S21+ 128GB modelSuper phone if you don't care about having only half the advertised memory available for your personal data, pics, vids, music, etc.The video captures are great but can use massive amounts of memory data. Video taken at higher resolution, not even the highest available, uses about 1GB pe5 min recording. That can use up non system available memory rather quick if you're hoping to use it for recording lots of video.I'd have been happy if I hadn't been stuck buying the 128gb model as all the 256gb models were sold out and at the time the waiting list for the bigger memory model was months long. Here is a pic of my memory stats showing the bulk being consumed by the phones data. Very very disappointed

I've been a massive fan of Samsung smartphones. I've had a Galaxy S5, S8, S10 and an S20 FE prior to this S21 FE 5G. Samsung's Galaxy S series was always my go to smartphone and when required I would just go ahead and get a new Galaxy S which I did this time with the S21 FE 5G.In a way this is my own fault, in a way not. My 5 year old dropped my Galaxy S20 FE and cracked the screen. As there were various offers I decided I'd upgrade to a Galaxy S21 FE rather than go down the repair route. Unfortunately I never thought to check that the S21 and newer came with a Micro SD card slot. Big mistake. It doesn't, nor does the S22 or S23 range as my post purchase research shows. Had I realised I would have considered the 256GB version rather than the 128GB version. I could use more cloud storage for my photos, CD quality music tracks (I listen with a USB-C DAC and high quality in ear headphones so the files are pretty sizeable). Also living where I do it is not great for accessing the cloud- poor 4G never mind the pipe dream of 5G.So there we are. I'm stuck with a sub standard phone for the next few years. At least it wasn't that expensive so I can ditch it if required not too far down the line. Would I go for another Samsung Galaxy S? Without the Micro SD card ability and the massive hike for the larger internal storage I very much doubt it. Unfortunately my upgrade appears to be a downgrade.

a beautiful and amazing phone!

The Samsung S21 is the best! My old phone was starting to get way too slow and was outdated with it's small amount of features so i started looking for an upgrade, doing research and looking at what brand would be best, some other brands had some ok features but when i looked at Samsung it was almost to good to be true! the customizability, features, battery life, processing power, screen, cameras, and design were all amazing. so i finally settled on getting the s21 because of its amazing features and perfect price point Even though most of Samsung's lineup is amazing. I'm a gigantic tech nerd and I love having the freedom and customizability of Android with all the benefits of having something kinda like an iPhone with One UI and Samsung support, such as quick share and Samsung Dex. I love the amount of processing power the phone has, it may not be as powerful as the plus or the ultra but it's still amazing compared to my old phone, The amount of storage from my old phone is a major upgrade too, My old phone had only 64 GB of memory which was very restricting but now with my new phone I feel free to download pretty much anything I want or need, as it is right now I have about 8 or 9 different emulators installed and I'm absolutely loving it! It feels like I have the full capabilities of a PC right in my pocket with all of the file managing and software tools, and the 8GB of RAM is also so freeing I feel like I can open up as many things as I want and it won't slow down one bit. I love listening to music and the 32-bit 384 kHz audio tuned by AKG makes it so much better especially knowing I have almost the best audio I could be getting out of my phone. being able to connect multiple Bluetooth devices at once is so cool especially with the media output feature! I love the slightly raised camera module with lines that blend directly into the frame of the phone it's so sleek and modern looking and I honestly really like the The look of the polymer back on the phone, It makes repairing (if ever needed) much easier from what I've heard. the cameras are also amazing with the amount of options, and I really appreciate the addition of the 0.5 wide angle, I use all the time and I really love it, although learning the pro camera mode settings has been a bit tricky compared to my old phone but I love being able to save raw images and the amount that I can edit photos and videos. The 4000mAh battery is great especially with the power efficiency of the AMOLED display, I can go the whole day without having to charge my phone. The wireless power sharing is also pretty amazing and I imagine makes everybody i show it to really consider buying the new Galaxy compared to the new iPhone because of how useful it is. but I'd say the feature I appreciate the most is the screen with its AMOLED 120hz display and a pretty good ppi too, it's the most beautiful display I've seen on a phone, The only thing I worry about is the screen durability since I don't have a screen protector on because of the in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner that works lightning fast, but so far I only have some minor micro scratches with daily use. i can't explain how much I love my new phone, it's so beautiful, It truly makes me so happy using it everyday, thank you Samsung!
