I have had my Galaxy S24 ultra for about 8 to 9 months and it's the best phone I've had through my years of experience. The system UI is very easy to understand and customize to your needs and preferences with how you live your day to day life. The camera and picture quality is top notch and you have many options for making the shot just right or editing your pictures afterwards. Another great thing is the long battery life that last for hours and hours even with heavy phone usage and having multiple apps running at the same time while also having max performance and picture quality settings turned on. Something else that I like is the Edge Panels feature which let's you quickly with the swipe of one thumb no matter what you're doing on the phone. You can use it to do split screen with multiple apps, play music and even has a built in compass which is great for people who travel or hike. Probably one of my most used features that I like is the clipboard and being able to pin stuff like text and images, so I can save them for later and copy and paste them quickly instead of having to retype everything.I use my S24 Ultra for multiple hours a day in total everyday and it's better than any phone I've had previously.

So this is largely a comparison between the two.The S24 ultra did away with the curved edge screen, which is very convenient for screen protectors because it allows use of the cheaper, easier to install electrostatic adhesive glass protectors instead of the messy dome glass protectors with the uv-reactive adhesive.The camera performs as good as the S23 ultra. Without a side-by-side comparison, it's hard to tell any difference.Unlike the S23 ultra, which for me had issues pairing with the stylus when I pulled it out, the stylus works without issue when you pull it out of the S24 ultra.The biggest improvement I can tell is the improved battery life due to the new snapdragon processor. I guess the AI features make the pictures look better somehow?The fingerprint scanner has improved a lot since the Note 20. The sensor area has expanded, and the time to get an accurate reading is reduced so that I can unlock with a tap.In all, this is my favorite Samsung phone since the Note 20. While some people say they never use the stylus, I use it all the time. It has replaced yellow sticky notes for me.

The main thing that I'd have to say I fell in love with moving up from my Galaxy S23 Ultra to my current Galaxy S24 Ultra is the camera. The new 5x 50MP camera made all of the difference when taking pictures. Before, zooming in even a little bit meant the quality would be reduced significantly after it switched cameras but now - it's VERY well balanced and the camera app is also finally COMPLETELY seamless. Tried all sorts of different cables and chargers and now my phone actually charges much faster wirelessly than it with the cable. Thank goodness it was very easy to get product support without even needing to chat to an agent. There is a 12 month parts and labor warranty that's included and it was very easy to schedule a repair appointment, through samsung, at a certified repair location near me.All in all - still the BEST smartphone.

The clarity is honestly awe-inspiring, especially using the pro photo mode and shooting in RAW.My Galaxy S24 Ultra overall functions very smoothly and I have had very few problems with low FPS, crashes, or app incompatibility. I greatly look forward to some upcoming Galaxy AI features, especially Sketch to Image! My Galaxy S24 Ultra also works flawlessly with my Galaxy Buds2 Pro and my Galaxy SmartTag2.

In hindsight I think I would have been happier with a lighter and rounder (less edgy corners) phone at the expense of the aforementioned features.I've used the zoom on a few trips and to try to get close up photos of the moon, reading far off signs, and to get a better cropped photo of scenic landscapes.The stylus comes in handy for signing documents, circling details in photos, and handwriting notes mixed with drawings.The three complaints I have with the S24 Ultra is the software. I think a recent software update may have fixed it, but it's hard to tell.The only way to paste a sticker (a clipped image from a photo in your gallery) is with the Samsung keyboard. You should be able to access these saved stickers some other way if using an alternative keyboard such as Gboard.The final issue is with the interface and switching between Windows. If I am typing a message or inputing text into a field then switching to a different window for information, the phone should realize I had my keyboard open when going back to the previous app. Instead I have to manually open the keyboard again. Fix this!
