The display has beautiful detail, colours and clarity. The battery was something I was initially hesitant about as I hadn't heard terrific things about Samsung's battery life in general. Galaxy S24+ - transitioning from S20+

Great phone. Upgrading from a Galaxy S10 which I loved since it had an audio jack and expandable memory but after 5 years, the battery was showing its age. I caught a good deal on this model. I like the size of the S24+ and feel like the difference in features between this and the Ultra wasn't so much. Performance is great but I do notice some bugs such as the inability to swipe down to see notifications from time to time. If this happens, I have to hit the side power button to turn off the screen and when I turn the screen back on, it works again. I also changed the setting where scrolling up on the main screen shows the notification menu. Battery life is awesome. I'm able to get the phone to operate for 2 days straight without recharging. Great Ease of use

I bought this a couple of weeks ago so I'm still finding out a lot about the phone. It's a great size which I have put a magnetic wallet on to protect my investment. I still need to master some features. I spent a lot of time setting it up to the font size I like, the best brightness for me, which apps to use and have to say it all went really well. I find the keypad small but very good. Easy to type on without making constant mistakes which I did on my old phone so nice not to have to correct the text constantly and can type fast on it. It's a beautiful unit and am looking forward to taking pictures and editing them on this phone as it offers a good variety of edit. Couple of small things Ai find annoying like I want to be able to keep Web pages open and flick ... MoreI bought this a couple of weeks ago so I'm still finding out a lot about the phone. But I am very happy with the Samsung Galaxy S24÷ for ease of use and yet unknown capabilities.

I am a big fan of Samsung products. But there are a few very annoying and frustrating things that exist 2024 in a phone made by the largest smart phone maker in the world.1. There is constant battle between Samsung, Google, and sometimes One drive to take control of backups, wallet, uploads of photos and so on. Why don't you let us decide in one single place whether we want to use Google, Samsung or any other third party for these things. And stop these messages popping up all the time.2. When I gave locked my phone with power button and keep it in my pocket the phone keeps trying to sense the fingerprint or ring emergency numbers. This is extremely frustrating. SO unhappy with this phone!

I was so excited to get the S24+ after Christmas.... I've been a loyal Samsung user for over 15 years... however, this phone camera is the absolute worst I have ever owned. I just switched from the S20Fe and I am so grateful that I still own it, as I have switched back to using it. I'm locked into a 2 year phone plan with my S24+, but I am so desperate to have a decent working camera that I've had to resort to this option. Every photo on the S24+ is overprocessed and given that I take so many pictures of my family and children, the washed out, ghost-like, sickly appearance that the S24+ gives any skin tone is just unacceptable for a phone in this price range. I was a little disappointed with the quality of the S20Fe camera when I first purchased it: the selfie camera didn't have autofocus and I found that my previous phone, the S9, was so much better at producing quality photos that could be blown up and printed off for framing. We have 8×10 portraits all over our house from photos taken with the S9. The S20Fe produces decent photos, but I was really looking forward to an even better camera with the release of the S24+. I have never in my life been so disappointed. I have switched around all my settings, downloaded the camera assistant, and tried editing them through my paid subscriptions to various photo editing apps... the portrait pictures and skin tone quality are so so bad. Additionally, the battery life on my S24+ is terrible. I see so many reviews stating that the battery is exceptional, but I only use my phone for roughly 5 hours total per day (scrolling social media, taking pictures and videos, checking emails, etc.) and my phone goes from 80% charged to 15%. Overall, I've always loved Samsung's operating system... but I am so so disappointed with this particular phone. The camera is such an important component in my choice of phone and I've always been happy with the previous versions of the Galaxy S series.. I just cannot believe how bad the camera/gallery app is on this S24+.

This is it.

Very nice phone
9 September 2024

I previously owned the Galaxy S23+ which I traded in to purchase the Galaxy S24+. Thanks to Samsung for the generous $600 trade-in allowance! Although the S24+ is slightly larger, it is a very nice phone. I love the aluminum frame. The whole package just feels like much higher quality. The battery is lasting me a lot longer - like 3.5 days between charges. The S23+ was more like 1.5 days. I think this is due to the variable refresh rate of the screen which can refresh less when the screen is not changing. Plus, the battery is slightly larger which helps. If I had any complaints, it would be that the max storage size is 512GB. I wish this was either expandable, or that a 1TB version was available. I do not want the Ultra phone as it is a lot more expensive and much larger/heavier. I am also not very impressed with the cameras as the image quality on photos isn't that good. Although I won't be recording in 8K, it's amazing that this available. 4K60 is OK in a well-lit environment but grainy in darker rooms. That's with HDR enabled, so I will try it with that off. I am hopeful that the S25 range will have an affordable phone (i.e. not the Ultra) with 1TB storage and better camera. For now though, the S24+ has impressed me more than I ever expected.
