Samsung Galaxy S9 256GB Midnight Black - Excellent Refurbished

This refurbed Samsung Galaxy S9+ DuoS is as well designed a smartphone as they come. This is mainly due to its huge AMOLED display that features a resolution of 2960x1440 pixels and makes it perfect for multimedia applications. What’s more, its 12-megapixel dual-camera enables you to take photos of breathtaking quality. Add to that the modern USB-C port and plenty of performance (thanks to its Exynos 9 processor and 6GB RAM), and you are left with a smartphone that masters all situations with supreme confidence.

I couldn't believe how affordable this phone was. I already had a 9 plus from the year it came out, but my front screen and back were cracked. I got a quote to have it fixed and it was actually more expensive to have it fixed then to buy this brand new phone that is in perfect condition.I was going to go through with the repairs before I even looked for a new phone, but because it is an older model they were having a hard time getting the parts so I went ahead and looked for a new phone same model online and fell in love with the price and the idea that I could actually have my old phone in perfect condition once again. . . . Specially for the price!!!

I have nothing but good things to say about this phone. Ive had it almost 5 years now and everything still works as it should. I like the size of the phone and how i can fit it in one hand. My screen always works and is very clear and also my phone is still very fast. My battery life after 5 years hasn't changed much but i feel like it used to be better but im in no way complaining because if i wake up in the morning and my phone is at 100% battery i can make it last all day if i don't use it excessively. The only downside to having this phone is cameras have gotten so much better since 2019 but thats not the phones fault and i still think it takes great photos. Below is a photo taken on my almost 5 year old galaxy s9.

There's a lot to love about this phone. It's sleek and has stunning graphics. I love the way the edges light up when you get notifications, not as distracting. It comes with various ring tones and camera features. I love the heartbeat feature and all the security features like iris and thumbprint recognition. I've had mine for over 5 years and it still works. There's been some issues like the thumbprint unlock feature no longer works because I got sweat in it and I had to turn it off because my phone kept shutting off bu itself everytime I used it. It's stopped updating because Samsung wants me to get a new phone and the battery drains super fast. I also really like It's waterproof. Boy has that come in handy. Overall, I like this phone and would get another, newer model.

This was one of my first samsung phones. This s9+ is what made me switch from the iPhone and never look back. I really enjoyed the quality of the camera. The waterproof feature came in handy. I was able to use it at the lake a couple of times. I was even able to get a couple of underwater videos of my niece and nephew. The iris scan made it easy to open and unlock the phone, hands-free. The phone was virtually indestructible with a good case, which I needed because I work outside in all the elements. I would recommend this phone to anyone looking for a reasonable priced phone with amazing features and reliability.

Great unlocked phone, works with different SIM cards, weak battery My workplace issued me an identical Samsung Galaxy S9 three years ago. It is still going strong but locked into ATT. I purchased this used, unlocked S9 for personal use in Europe with a local SIM card. It works great for that. The screen has no scratch, and the light burn-in is hardly noticeable. The previous owner probably did not take good care of the battery because it runs down a lot faster than my work phone, even in airplane mode with WiFi only. Have to charge up every day. It's easy-to-use to do with a wireless charging pad.

Let me first start off by saying this was hands down, the best phone I’ve ever had. Well let me rephrase, it’s my favorite phone I’ve ever owned. The color is was first sold me on it! And I like the rounded off screen edges, it gives it a better display it seems like, than the other series. Had this phone for about 3-4 years , until finally I after throwing it a million times and nothing happening, it finally busted the screen. It still worked for a good while after the screen broke but eventually just all went black. If it weren’t for Samsung not allowing older models to have anymore software updates I’d def buy another one!

However, you might still find the Galaxy S9 available through some retailers or second-hand markets.

I had the S3 before I bought this so it was a huge leap in quality for me, the processor speed is great and the user interface is intuitive, organised, very pretty and there are a tonne of themes created for it. It is great for mobile gaming with a large and clear screen, camera is amazingly clear and many photo editing options made simple and easy to use, great for social media sites like facebook and other apps, a particular personal favourite is the Samsung pay app which works a charm and so convenient. Only con is the battery life but the S3 didn't last much longer but the S9 charges quicker so there's a trade off, I recommend this to any Samsung user/fan or just anyone looking for an easy to use mobile for every day calls and texts. My opinion and experience: -its great, I love it, everytime when I finish work I can't wait to use it, I can't wait to play music on it, watch YouTube and Netflix on it, and play games. It's honestly a great phone and well worth the cost. If you aren't wanting to spend that much for this phone, then get the s8, it's got 90% of this phones features. But what made me go for this phone was the improved camera, moved fingerprint scanner location, much improved speaker, and a smoother, quicker software. battery is actually probably the worst feature of this phone, by no means is it bad, but its not great. The fast charging makes up for it though. Display is very bright, colours pop, clear images. This phone is great to watch videos and play games on. Almost everyone I hang out with or am around will always mention how nice my display is. Hardware durability - it really feels like a premium and expensive device. It has a headphone jack, AMAZING speakers, USB type C, expandable storage, finger print sensor etc. With the all glass design it can cause fingerprints easy and can be slippery, and this means it's probably more prone to breaking than other phones, so recommend getting a case and perhaps a screen protector too. solid software-wise, the Samsung skin has really come along nicely and is quite responsive and quick, although there are the occasional hiccups or bumpy moments when multitasking through apps or using Bixby (I disabled Bixby anyway). It's also easy to use too which is great. stunning camera when given the right lighting, but also does pretty well in low light and most of my images come out pretty clear. The selfie camera is good, but I think could've been a little better, but still very good.

If you're on the fence about buying this, don't be. What I received is exactly what I expected. Good battery life, considering its a small phone and light weight, I truly appreciate the small size. I'm happy. As with Samsung they make great screens and you’ll notice screen quality as good as current phones in 2023. I believe this phone was designed to be used in a case because the glass wraps around the side and doesn’t seem Lesly feel comfortable where the glass meets the metal in a case there would be no metal bezel only seeing glass transition into a case so I really think they intended it to be in a case. The screen protector won’t protect your sides which is glass. I wasn’t blown away by the performance or anything special but I will definitely comment on the quality and crisp clear pixels on the screen.

Is this phone really obsolete?

The Galaxy S9+ is a phone meant for the enthusiast, or high profile business man. It has more settings and functions than someone can shake a stick at, and its ultra snappy responses to launching apps and typing, loading pretty much anything; all but guarantees this phone is the best of the best. Extremely high screen resolution and an AMOLED display makes it future proof for 4k videos. The included headphone jack is a godsend. The internal DAC (Digital to Analog Converter for audio) is phenomenal for a phone. And the sheer amount of customization possibilities makes it a phone for everyone's mood or vibe. Very strong wifi performance and Bluetooth is flawless. All in all and at the end of the day, the Galaxy S9+ is most definitely worth it this coming year of 2023, only being outmatched by it's successors from Samsung, and Apple. It's most definitely not obsolete despite it's lack of Android 12 or 13 support. Android 10 is just fine with a phone that is this reliable and smooth to use. Highly recommended.
