I find that my 12-year old iOS tablet is more responsive than the Tab A9+.Since I wasn’t satisfied with the performance of the Tab A9+, 3 days after receiving the Tab A9+, I called Samsung Customer Service to apply for a return and refund. I was told by an agent that in an obscure, well-hidden Terms of Sale Agreement on the Samsung Canada website, the Samsung policy is to not accept returns of Tab A9+ wifi models (unlike Costco, Staples, Best Buy etc.). The agent advised me that I could speak to a Manager/Supervisor about the issue. The agent assured me that a Manager/Supervisor would call me by 3:30 pm that day, but in the worst case in less than 24 hours. Needless to say some 4 days latter, I’m still waiting for that call.Stay tuned for the social media post of me driving my car over the Tab A9+.Obviously, I have made my last purchase of a Samsung product. I suggest that others consider my experience with Samsung.Should you decide to overlook my experience with Samsung and buy anyway, I encourage you to avoid an online purchase from Samsung Canada’s online store due to the implied restrictive purchase terms.Enough said.

I tried a case on mine and it just said very quietly but loudly business more than pleasure that's not to say you can't do both.I've yet to put my SD card in but does have the capacity for both. I did notice a slight flicker on a page but that has since settled and think it might have been a network connection problem but it has righted it self and only lasted a short while I suppose like any device it takes a few days to really settle in. But over all this is a great device and I would recommend anyone thinking of buying one to go ahead. It slips neatly into my carry and fits neatly into your glove compartment. If you've a car that doesn't have satnav this is ideal with the correct holder to have as your removable auto driving aid with the right app.The battery life is good for the device yes you can get devices with longer battery life thus far so far so good.I do have a bug bear and it's not with the device it's with the sales guy. Not to be mistaken what a lovely day who made my shopping experience a bit fun, but it was coming to close of the day and I'd been in a little rush and amidst all that it was a long day he forgot to tell me that the charging cable in the boxed packaged didn't have a specific Samsung USB C plug, so bear in mind when purchasing that you might need to buy a plug as well. Fortunately for myself I had an adequate plug so everything went fine. Obviously I've not tried every thing on the device but what I have tried, email, social media, data transferring and making calls all seems fine. I've yet to check out the picture quality and photo editing but something tells me I won't be disappointed.

There appeared to be a bug after the upgrade to Android 14 which is well reported across boards over the months that Android 14 upgrade came out. You do another software update after the first. Might take a day to come through. Lack of notification sounds as I recall. Oh there is another software upgrade waiting... did the trick. Something to look out for. Notification sounds returned. Similar to Microsoft you get the package update and then a known bug fix after.Migration using the Samsung software over wifi worked well taking taking apps not in the Playstore plus directories. Email was configured but if you use customised sounds for incoming emails you do need to set them back up again. Bluetooth connections in the car etc need to be restored.Fast tablet compared to the tab S2 where apps were out growing the memory and developers were dropping Android 7 off so apps couldn't be updated and we're also blocked if you didnt update the firmware that you couldn't in anycase. Getting beyond a joke on the old tablet. Sanity now restored on the app front. Some older nitch software a bit of searching did find new software updates. Ezshare wifi SD camera card. Some fumbling with Chinese screens on that got it working. Release 5 of that to support the Chinese Market. Pleased about that one since I keep my Panasonic bridge camera 10 years old into the social media age with a discontinued Ezshare wifi card, good price at the time.Built in camera quality is good on the tablet. If you like large phablet devices, a bit bigger than the phone "phablets" which are now regular mobiles, then this is for you. Paper back sized screen for reading rather than massive 10 / 11 " tablets and the weight or mobiles that are too small. The beauty of 8" or 8.5" tablets in this case. Easy to carry in a shoulder bag.

Nothing but aggravation

My previous tablet was a 2016 model so it was way overdue for an upgrade. I stuck with the same brand as I was immensely please with my previous tablet. This new tablet is a nightmare compared to my old tablet. I am no longer able to sit with the tablet on my lap without having to "hold" it. The screen on my previous tablet was very responsive to every touch while I had it just laying on my lap or on the arm of the sofa. I did not have to hold it in any fashion. This tablet, not able to do so at all. I have to have one hand on the tablet and then tilt it to an angle before the touchscreen responds to a touch or tap. I will have this tablet sitting in my lap in a horizontal position. I tap the screen and it does not respond. I make sure that when I tap the tablet isn't bouncing, I change the strength of the tap going from very light to hard and still no response. I have to take my other hand and place it on the side of the tablet, give it a slight tilt, then tap and the touchscreen finally responds. Because of this, I no longer enjoy using a tablet. I did contact the vendor prior to the return window for a "defective" product, however, if they found no defects, I would be responsible for paying for all costs associated with returning to them and then the vendor returning it back to me. Before I followed through on this, I did a diagnostic check on the tablet and it showed everything is working just fine. So, I must surmise that with the upgraded product, model changes have impacted the functionality of the touchscreen negatively. It's like the tablet has a gyroscope in it that must be at a certain plane before the screen will respond. If I could return it for a full refund, I would. In the meantime, it is going to just sit and gather dust as I am extremely disappointed in this tablet as it just causes aggravation and agitation.

The processor make handling more than i application very easy.Let us not forget the social messaging and the pictures i uplaod very easy and clear. While browsing through various social media accounts on different windows tge tablet seema to work without hesitation or lag. I swith through windows with ease and no screen freeze. It is very smooth and transitions without drag or even video errors.Battery is also worth mentioning. I browse the internet, check social media, and play games on this tablet and the battery life is outstanding. It will last me 8 to 10 hours depending on use but it also doesnt get hot.Overall I believe that this product is very good for work and play and would recommed it to anyone interested in owning a tablet for multiple use. Witg all the features included and the Galaxy AI doing school work and multi tasking has been made simpler.

[Rewarded Review] Galaxy A9+ O.K., 4 a 2nd Tablet & kids

The Galaxy A9+ O.K., 4 a 2nd Tablet & kids. It lacks a few features I especially like & need… copy&paste. I like the unlimited scrolling when taking a screenshot, but you really can’t see the copied image unless you zoom. I like both Samsung & the other ‘a..tablet’. But, I like Samsung tablet because you can still expand the memory with a SD cards. I only buy tablets with cellular and the Samsung A9+ is a reasonable price…not too much where I worry about damaging it. I use my Samsung A9+ with cellular as my gps &music in place of my cars’ out-dated horrible & small screen navigation system. Samsung store could have more apps than it does. It’s been what 30 years +/- that Samsung has been in the U.S.America and their tablets still lacks popular Applications & key ... MoreThe Galaxy A9+ O.K., 4 a 2nd Tablet & kids. I just wish that ALL Tablets can function as a real Phone&Tablet. A lot of us older tech geeks prefer a nice big screen. And, what’s better than reading the latest gossip on your tablet and talking about it with friends without having to juggle your phone & tablet & driving drink & sandwich… You’ll need 4 hands…lol

[Rewarded Review] Surprizing Value for a Midrange Tablet
17 May 2024

I always wanted a Tab S series tablet but my budget kept me from getting one. After my tablet's 10" screen cracked, I had to choose a replacement. And it was time. My old 10" tablet was stuck on Android 10! It is late 2023 and, as I kept looking for a decent replacement, I kept seeing hints about the Galaxy Tab A series coming out with a new model. As soon as it became available in the US I began to compare it to the Tab S series and it had most feature that I wanted, except S-Pen support. I saw the offer for a free tent case/cover/stand and I pulled the trigger.Once in my hands I had to test it with my previous tablet and it surpassed it everywhere except the sound. One thing that was surprizing was the connectivity. Along with my Galaxy Book2 and S22 Ultra it was a dream come true. The Tab 9+ has a beautiful 11" screen, 8Gb RAM, 128Gb storage, expandable to 1Tb using a microSD card. But the best value was DeX. I can have multiple Apps in their own window. Windows Phone Link opened a use case that I had been wanting for the longest: Run native Android Apps on my PC. I put Android on my 43" display and I can interact with it with my Windows keyboard and mouse. Listen to it on the full sound speakers connected to the display. I only hope I can add a S-Pen to this set up, but content creation possibilities just grew exponentially. Kudos to Samsung for bringing so many features to a midrange tablet. I can't wait to see what can be done with a Galaxy S series tablet.
