I have to admit that prior to using them, I wasn't sure how much I would use the AI tools, however I can see them being extremely useful in a myriad of situations.The cameras are simply stunning, producing clear and detailed shots with true to life colours and tones. Add in the aforementioned AI tools and it is simply the best camera phone I have ever had.The phone seems solidly made and feels very well built. I always put a cover on my phones, but I'm not actually sure this one needs it as it feels quite rugged.I've not really had the phone long enough yet to be able to give a definitive verdict on the battery life, but so far it seems to be coping extremely well and I haven't had any battery anxiety at all. Samsung have put a bigger battery in this model than previous versions, and even when I've been using it heavily during initial setup and over the period I've had it, it has not disappointed, and has lasted extremely well.The only little niggle I have is that the charging speed is only 25w (15w if using wireless), which is a little slow by today's standards, however its only a minor inconvenience

The fifth and 6th generation of this phone was certainly a leap from the fourth, however as others have likely said before the difference between the fifth and sixth generation of this phone is quite small.Externally the changes are very small, with things like rings around the cameras that matches the color of the phone and improved tempered glass protection. Additionally if you happen to have a Samsung smartwatch you will find that you can use these to in partnership for all sorts of things. My favourite personally is that you can turn your SmartWatch into a display for your camera and a remote button for it. So, for example you could place your phone at a right angle given that it flips and place it on a table, you and others then stand a distance away checking in the screen of your Samsung smartwatch that you are all in frame and then set off the time by pressing the button on your SmartWatch. Your phone will then take the picture for you. If you don't happen to have a Samsung smart watch and you can still be creative with your camera by using the cover screen as a mirror for selfies so that you all the person you're photographing can see what they look like before you take their picture. It's great little features like this that make this phone really good.

Setting up the Samsung ear buds were straight forward enough and though I haven't tried it yet tapping the screen of your TV (assuming you have a modern TV) or your sound bar with the phone will automatically connect to this phone and I also like the idea of it translating languages probably not something I will use anytime soon but I'm really interested in the option available. Though not part of this testimony as such, the case available for the phone is cumbersome and I'm not sure that that works for me. It was very convenient with my previous Samsung 23 of having a case with your credit cards in and having stuff fairly convenient with your phone whereas this one you can't get a case for it where you can take bank cards and such it does also make clear on the magnetism concerning this phone and how it makes it or suggests it makes it difficult to have any bank cards or any other magnetically sensitive items nearby that may possibly be impeded by this phone. I will have to write further once I've had a chance to look at this phone it does also state that you can have an āE simā which is a virtual sim. Couldn't get my head round that try as I might I'm needing some more information as to how that works Overall though to date another quality product from Samsung as to whether the folding option is good or bad for me time will tell as it's going to be in a pocket without a proper case round it I can only assume that it may be subject to getting bits in the screen or phone

I was concerned about the so called ācreaseā and the durability of the phone, but those concerns have vanished. The crease is barely noticeable and does not make any difference when using the phone or watching videos and the handset is solid with no issues around dust or the hinge. I am confident that the phone will withstand the same usage as any other regular handset.Secondly, we must discuss the advanced AI on the handset. There are two different AI options available ā there is Samsung AI which is built into the phone and the option to download Googleās Gemini AI. I have found both useful and each able to offer something different. For me the AI really comes into play at work as I have a job with the public and I also must access and read multiple documents a day. The phone can as an example summarise a document or web page at the press of a button but the one AI element, I am most excited about is the translation feature.I am fortunate that I get to meet lots of people from different cultures and as not all of them can speak English I have trialled using the AI translation feature alongside having the usual interpretation service. So far it has been amazing, there are currently only a handful of languages but there are more promised but having the screen flipped up and live translation is great for me.In terms of cameraās the phone is excellent, and the Flip 6 has added a higher resolution to the folded screen and is great for using to take selfies as you can hold the whole handset in the palm of your hand. Itās also good if you like to make social media videos as with it in the palm of your hand no-one can see it, so it makes recording yourself a bit more private and less self-conscious.Also, the AI is clever in terms of pictures as you can manipulate your photos in lots of interesting ways. From adding silly items to photos by simply drawing on them to some of the more sophisticated ways of manipulating colours or image quality.When the phone is folded over the larger screen that is in this version makes using it so much easier and provides more functionality. You can add apps to the folded screen, and I use it for Spotify and to scroll through WhatsApp messages and emails without having to open the main screen. Again, it makes using the phone very discreet.I know in some reviews people have criticised the fact that fingerprint sensor is on the side and not in the screen but for this phone it makes perfect sense for me as you can unlock it when it is folded and ergonomically it works better.All in all a great handset and has convinced me that foldables are the way forward I wonāt go back to a solid screen.
Iāve had the Z Flip 5 for a year, so I didn't yet think it I would be enticed by the Z Flip 6, but the improvements to the battery size, vapour cooling, less obvious crease, camera, and that matte black carbon finish had me yearning for another flipping phone already.The carbon black is by far the best option and the matte finish felt a bit nicer over the glossy Flip 5.I bought a slim case that also has a great matte feel, and a cover screen protector, but the main screen already has a screen protector just like the Flip 5. After a year with the Flip 5 Iāve noticed small scratches on the screen protector so Iāll see how the Flip 6 holds up. With a zero gap hinge, take care to ensure thereās no dust or particles on the screen before folding closed.The crease on the Flip 6 was noticeably less obvious during the set up next to my Flip 5, which was great.The hinge feels more secure, but I canāt remember if the Flip 5 felt different when it was brand new a year ago.The phone still has a Flex feature when folded at all to be able to use the bottom half as a touchpad, split screen apps or take a screenshot.Fully folded, only a few widgets and apps are available on the cover screen by default (clock, weather, camera, messages), but a third party app on the Samsung store is available to enable almost all apps to be used on the cover screen, which is useful for music, contactless payments, taxis, messages and quick replying.The camera can automatically zoom in or out to frame your subject(s). It does have a delay though, and can be disabled if you prefer.The Flip 6 has a 50MP sensor, but the default 12MP mode seems better. Performance in 12MP mode was the same as the Flip 5 (that has a 12MP sensor) as you can zoom up to 10x. The 50MP mode is meant to zoom in more with less sacrifice to quality, but I could only zoom in up to 5x, and the picture was blurrier than if you zoom to 5x in 12MP mode. I can test this in different lighting conditions but it didnāt seem to be a benefit to me.The fast charging capabilities were similar to the Flip 5, going from 10% to 100% in 1hr 20min. While a few minutes slower, the Flip 6 has a bigger battery so that is expected.I havenāt used any of the AI features yet, as it seems still in its infancy and to be used with caution as any AI system.Overall I recommend getting the Flip 6 over the Flip 5, unless you already have a Flip 5, in which case make sure you get a good deal on it as the price is still very high.

Voices are clear and hands free calls are hassle free.Moving over from your previous handset is kept as hassle free as possible by using the included Smart Switch app. It even transfers your eSIM.Internal and external cameras give good quality pictures. You can use inbuilt AI and other features to enhance your pictures or generate animated portraits for extra entertainment value.Charging the Z flip6 is simple using any USB-C or QI wireless charger. I use the Samsung trio wireless charger, which suits my needs, concurrently charging phone, buds and watch.I don't intentionally go out to test the water resistance of my phones but it's nice to know with the Z flip6, the occasional dunk or rain drenching won't cause any issues.The Z flip6 currently uses Android 14 with One UI customisations. It is simple to use and enhanced by optional gesture navigation, being my preference.Overall, this is my preferred phone style. I love the size, it fits in your jeans pocket, weight and robustness.It's stylish and easy to use with AI enhancements bringing more benefits.
