An excellent phone that has replaced my older ZTE Z999 Axon M (another folding phone but with split screens). Many of the built in features do a better job of their tasking vs the carefully curated selection of apps I had to do before. The battery life is amazing even with many apps running in the background. If I was to say there was any cons, I would have to say that I wish Samsung's Good Lock was preinstalled as many of the phone's best features come from that app in terms of streamlining quick setups and User Interfacing and User Experience. I'm not a big fan of major alterations of Android, but Samsung really hit it out of the park for this one... after you Good Lock it. p.s. That's the better than expected part. But, it is heavy and while the screen is larger than any conventional phone its still not large enough to really function as a tablet and is awkward to hold without touching a command button or window since it is edge to edge. That's the worse than expected part. Add in the fact that it has non replaceable batteries and its a great concept but no bargain. If it were $800 OR if batteries were easily replaceable at the actual price, then it would be a steal. I would gladly trade waterproofing for the ability to make this phone last 5 years with replacement batteries. But ... I've not experienced any issues with the hinge although Samsung can adjust your hinge if needed and the hinge and screen should handle over 250 folds a day for 2 years which is going to be well above normal usage.Whilst it is an expensive product you're getting a very capable spec phone and tablet combined in to one. It's understandable why some people wouldn't want to spend this much money on a phone but for many of us a phone is one of the things you interact with most on a daily basis and if you look at the weekly or monthly cost the phone works out to if you divide the price by the amount of time you'll be using the phone for then if you're someone that will really take advantage of its benefits the value is there. There are cheaper phones out there that have similar or in some cases better specifications but there aren't any other phones on the market that can do what the Fold can do.
Beautiful phone. Easy to use. Battery life leaves a lot to be desired. (If I use it a lot it invariably stops at some point during the evening. This has not happened to any phone I owned during the past 15 years). It does however, recharge quite quickly. Call quality is excellent, as is 5G connectivity. It runs like a train on WiFi networks and the screen is clear, responsive and precise. Slightly heaver than a normal handset. When shut it is relatively small although it is not very slim but I carry it around in my trouser pocket without problem. A good buy.

I bought this phone around the release date roughly a year and a half. I had friends and family members who weren't samsung users, warn me about the phone and the possible crease. They warned me about screen issues. I will say, I haven't had any issues with this phone. NO issues with the crease, No issue with apps with the phone and definitely no screen cracking. I have dropped this phone in water, sand and concrete without any issues. My only issue was the factory case that came with the phone. The original case is flimsy and could have been built better for the pen.

I wouldnt consider a device with damage or marks to the internal screen as 1) it interferes with the gorgeous screen and 2) Samsung wont transfer guarantees and dont let anybody selling one tell you differently. Seller guarantees are different but and I repeat but Samsung will not honour any warranty to another owner, only the original, so make sure you purchase a device with the original screen protector in place and no damage. A replacement screen is 650 - this is the price of another phone. Despite the obvious fragility of this device- it delivers first class photography, super fast browsing experience along with a mobile phone and tablet experience.
