Multitasking works really well, having three windows open at a time allowing me to be more productive and maximising the bigger screen too. This device is really an all-in-one solution as a compact computer, tablet and phone in a single package. There are plenty of options to customise the colours, fonts and overall look with different colours without any performance compromise. I'm also very happy with the speakers as listening to music and watching movies is an enjoyable experience with clear and immersive audio. The main rear cameras take nice and vibrant pictures in good lighting, and the video quality was much better than expected (even better than my previous device) with some decent audio recording quality. The front camera's however aren't the best due to the lower than expected megapixel count and find myself using the rear camera's mostly anyway, but are fine for the odd video call for social media apps.I found battery life to be good but had hoped for a slightly bigger battery. The device can last up to two days with light to moderate usage but will easily last the day with multimedia content, listening to music, browsing the internet and some light gaming. As a phone, calls and texts work as they should, clear earpiece audio, and very reliable WiFi and data connections making this device a very reliable daily driver.Overall the device has exceeded my expectations and is definitely an easy recommendation for power users and those looking for a reliable device with plenty of features, takes some great pictures and video with the rear cameras, and a good balance of battery life and performance. This will be a great travelling companion for my next vacation

Watching videos or images on this inner screen is an amazing experience, and with the speakers on both sides of the handset when open you get a truly immersive experience, and the fold down the centre is barely noticeable (even if you can feel it when you run your fingers over). The inner display is 120hz so gaming is also a joy, but its worth remembering this is a folding display and it is not as tough, there is a warning when set up about fingernails, etc so ensure you heed these warnings.Performance wise this device is no slouch, I’ve experienced no slowdown, no stuttering, nothing, everything you can throw at this device it runs without challenge, anything ran on the front display transfers to the inside once unfolded (and you can set the reverse to happen in the settings). There are a couple of things to note, one being that not all apps make use of the big inner screen, and some you have to restart to get them to use the available space. The other is more of a personal perspective is the outside display is just too narrow, meaning if you use this to type a message, you’re likely to mistype.Cameras on the Fold 5 are good but not the best, it’s a shame given the cost of the device Samsung haven’t included their best cameras, but for general day to day photography it does the job, and it does it well. There is a small camera under the main display, which is well hidden and useable. Its also worth noting that you can use the back cameras for selfies etc by opening the device and the outer screen will become your camera controlsOverall if you’re in the market for both a phone and a tablet, this fits the best of both worlds
This is a powerhouse multitasking titan. Its great that there is flexibility on how you can use this device which is excellent as each screens has it own use purpose, eg answering text and calls with outside screen and consuming social media with the inside folding screen. The fold is amazing as it turns into a phone and a small tablet. Cameras are great but should be s23 ultra quality. Sound and battery are also great too. It can get quite loud at max volume with no distortion and the battery can last up to a whole day of usage which is good for me as Im a heavy user (alot of youtube, streaming music, light gaming, alot of web browsing and social media and also Bluetooth paired to samsung watch)However i cannot recommend this device unless you have alot of money ... MoreThis is a powerhouse multitasking titan. It can get quite loud at max volume with no distortion and the battery can last up to a whole day of usage which is good for me as Im a heavy user (alot of youtube, streaming music, light gaming, alot of web browsing and social media and also Bluetooth paired to samsung watch)However i cannot recommend this device unless you have alot of money to spend and you absolutely must need the feel to own and experience a folding device or a tech enthusiast. The user experience is way too different/difficult for casual consumers as everyone is already used to the topical phone slab design. Alot of people will find using the fold to be very inconsistent and inconvenient as the outer screen is very narrow, making it hard to use and read content on screen. It feels awkward and very inconvenient to have to use the folding screen to answer messages in the wrong place eg crowed areas and (hopefully not but driving)Furthermore the inside folding screen is very delicate and can be damaged easily if not looked after or used properly. I find myself having to be extremely careful when using this device before bed, watching youtube as i get anxious that i might fall asleep on the device, possibly breaking or damaging it.I feel that the fold is a very niche device making it extremly hard for casual consumers to fully utilise and enjoy this titan of a device. Furthermore the fold is too advanced and only the tech enthusiasts like myself will full understand and appreciate the device for what its for.Personally the narrow screen doesn't bother me as i have smaller hands. There are times with the occasional typo and misclicks but I can tolerate that. Overall excellent. Made using a mobile device fun and exciting again.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is equipped with the latest mobile technology, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy for increased performance and 12GB of RAM. At the same time, it offers a unique and futuristic experience. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is built on the Samsung Flex Hinge, offering a more streamlined design that makes it lighter and easier to fold flat while providing IPX8 water resistance. As a result, Samsung has eliminated the gap between the screen halves while reducing its overall thickness, a welcome step towards daily usage. Its foldable design offers versatility in terms of usage, providing a larger tablet-like experience for productivity and multimedia, making it easier to multitask, and allowing you to run multiple apps simultaneously and use them in different configurations. This can significantly enhance your productivity and efficiency, whether working, studying, or simply managing your daily tasks. In ways, Samsung has improved the efficiency of these devices. A new gesture allows one to slide in from the side of the screen with two fingers to rapidly transition into a dual-pane mode, making it quicker and simpler to launch into side-by-side app mode and also using the diagonal swipe down from either of the top corners to convert a full-screen app to a windowed one. Both gestures are quite helpful and simple to use. However, it is necessary to turn them on on the Advanced Options page to use them.It is important to acknowledge that although it presents a viable option as a first foldable phone, the external screen's narrowness may provide customisation challenges and hinder the overall user experience, needing a certain amount of time to adapt. To judge it, it is recommended to personally test it by visiting a retail store. Foldable devices are expected to become more prevalent in the coming years, and by being an early adopter, you can stay ahead of the curve and enjoy the benefits of this innovative technology. Hence, by choosing the Galaxy Z Fold 5, you would be plugged into future technology.

This advancement is particularly significant for users who rely heavily on their devices throughout the day, eliminating the nagging concern of a dying battery.4. Pricing RealitiesWhile the Fold 5 is a marvel of engineering and innovation, its price point remains a point of contention. I will start off by saying that I am quite surprised & happy with my new Galaxy Zfold5, I ordered this due to the fantastic trade in deals and promotions. I got as well as the free storage upgrade which netted me an 512gb Zfold5 in the icy blue color (which I am loving btw). I came from an Galaxy Note 20 ultra and after hearing all the rave about the snapdragon 8gen 2, I can confirm it is an wildy capable cpu and it's performance is amazing even with the battery on the zfold 5 still being 4800mph the phone is super fast and fluid which is very impressive!. The idea of having an tablet and a normal phone is probably the thing I love the most about this, if I want a big screen I can just open this up and away I go consume media browsing the web etc etc its an ... MoreI will start off by saying that I am quite surprised & happy with my new Galaxy Zfold5, I ordered this due to the fantastic trade in deals and promotions. The idea of having an tablet and a normal phone is probably the thing I love the most about this, if I want a big screen I can just open this up and away I go consume media browsing the web etc etc its an experience I never thought I'd enjoy as much as I currently am & I've always downplayed foldables as a niche but I do genuinely think they are the future. I am now going to talk about my nitpicks and the cons of the fold 5 and what I think needs to be improved.1: Samsung is on gen 5 of the folding phone and as great as it is I and many fans agree that it needs an design change specifically the front screen needs to be widened a little bit in its current format it is usable sure but with how short it is it proves to be cumbersome sometimes.2: it's time for the Spen to be placed inside the phone which is doable by widening the front of the phone enough to fit the same spen used in the ultra line of phones, the S Pen case (which I use) is good in concept but due to quality control it tends to not stick very well and falls out sometimes which is another reason to put the Spen inside for the fold 6.3: a bigger battery or match the ultra line and put 5000mph in the fold 64: The camera design should be the same as the s23 line why not do this at the start of the fold 4 and s22 line is beyond my understanding but its time.5: The crease needs more improvement its almost there in terms of its presence being un noticed but still can see it in certain lighting conditions, also the under display camera needs improvement as well it is still not ideal and I recommend an punch hole camera system at this point truth be told.6: And finally last but not least is the fold 6 needs dust-resistant rating I mean come on the fold 5 should have had this by now and it's absolutely ridiculous that it does not.All in all I love my fold 5 I hope it serves me for a long time but in my closing thoughts I have to say and point out that it bamboozles me that the amount of resources that is put into the ultra phone is not matched or better for the fold line of phones considering that the fold 5 in 512gb model without trade ins lists for $2500 🇨🇦 before taxes, I would have thought that for that price this type of phone would get the most resources put into its development and yet it does not and this is something I'd like to see in the future.
Having moved to my first foldable, this device is a dream come true. I'm all about multi-tasking and I even have 4 monitors for my PC so there are countless situations where I wished I could do more at once on my phone and this fold5 is the answer.I am a very heavy phone user and my last phone was not only full at 256gb but also started to get slow, I've transferred most of it over to this and this phone breezes through all the same tasks with ease. Being able to have multiple apps open at once and even the option to drag and drop makes the daily use case for me an improvement to my lifestyle. Another thing I love is being able to copy things one by one from 2 apps which are open beside each other, this is useful where something like bitwarden doesnt autofill due ... MoreHaving moved to my first foldable, this device is a dream come true. Being able to have multiple apps open at once and even the option to drag and drop makes the daily use case for me an improvement to my lifestyle. Another thing I love is being able to copy things one by one from 2 apps which are open beside each other, this is useful where something like bitwarden doesnt autofill due to a pages incompatibility.Although I've only used Bixby on my projector, this is my first opportunity to experience it daily and I feel like its extremely well integrated where I find myself using bixby to do even the smallest of tasks such as muting my phone. The integration is great and is on a level you wont find in most phones.Folding a screen in half took me half a day to get used to and the crease is really tiny that you wont notice it on the long term, in fact its not even visible when looking at the screen head-on.Thanks to the big screen I noticed I do a lot of PC tasks on my phone now, its easy to browser and most apps even look like the desktop version.Ive been getting used to swapping to a lot of samsung apps including the keyboard and the lens replacement for scanning text out of images as these are well integrated with bixby and just work better with this phone. The weight of the phone isnt an issue at all although I just swapped to a new case which is quite heavy in comparison to samsungs case. I think the only things that could improve are having a wider selection of phone cases (with hinge protection, a kickstand, something to latch my finger around and drop tested)...as well as allowing for customisation of bixby alarm news...this feature plays a random nice tune to wake up to while telling you about the weather and latest news...just that the news so far has been depressing to put in a nice way. I also miss being able to rename any app. Other than these everything else has been a perfect experience. Now that Ive experienced a folding phone there is no way I can go back to a regular phone, i'm more productive now and this has definitely improved my quality of life
