I love so much about it but the 1 issue I have is that, it has a flaw in sizing of videos and some apps. That leaves me not able to see the whole thing. The top, sides and bottom, seem to be cut off and I can't find a way to fix it. With Google maps I loose the bottom where it shows where u are making it very difficult to navigate. And videos. I tend to loose both side every time no mater what app I'm using. And some I loose the top as well. Otherwise it has been fantastic.

A real step forward for Android phones.

Charging is fast with the super fast charger and I find the battery to be good anyway. Personally I would recommend the phone to anyone, it feels like a huge step forwards from the slab phones. I have always appreciated screen real estate on computers with multiple screens and this is bringing that experience to phones. Hats off to Samsung and Google Android for developing this, I look forwards to seeing where these devices go over the next few years. Very best Mark

Great phone but not robust
5 June 2022

Great phone to use and had a great 5 months of using it. Sadly it dropped and it was not a hard drop, but the middle of the screen started to show a black line. Samsung charged me to fix it. If I had seriously dropped it then ok I should pay to have it repaired, but I have treated my Note phones over the years a lot tougher and they kept on going. So Fold 3 is a great phone, but no way as sturdy as the Note series.

It's okay. Not terrible but many flaws

I had my fold 3 for 5 months and although it seems wastful, I've already upgraded to the 22 ultra for the following reasons: 1 - The alarm snoozer is connected to the power button which also acts as the fingerprint receiver, this is VERY frustrating if you like to snooze your alarm. Every time I did it it either unlocked the screen or stopped the alarm and wouldn't snooze properly. 2 - I wear glasses (short sighted) so holding it at a normal distance felt too close with the apps ratio set to full screen. So I mostly kept it at 16:9 ratio which literally defeated the point of having a fold phone with a large ratio option. 3 - On the note of full screen ratio, most apps don't work accurately, which again defeats the point. 4 - The concept of having the front screen is ... MoreI had my fold 3 for 5 months and although it seems wastful, I've already upgraded to the 22 ultra for the following reasons: 1 - The alarm snoozer is connected to the power button which also acts as the fingerprint receiver, this is VERY frustrating if you like to snooze your alarm. I have tiny hands so thought it would be amazing but I could barely text properly with a cover on and my fingers are small, so thoughtbit would be great. So if you have big hands stay clear as if it didn't work for my small hands, it won't for larger hands. 5 - Because of the front screen being too small, I used it opened alot. But this meant my wrist fatigued super quick and stared to hurt my wrist and cause achey pain from the way I was holding it. That's because I had a popsocket on the back and had to rest the phonebon my wrist. These are the main reasons but there was more. These are pretty major things. It is a really nice phone but it depends on what you want it for. The green colour was stunning, the s pen worked well, the main screen never had any issues and watching Netflix shows was amazing. The concept was great, it just didn't work for me.

Bought 8 months ago and the inside screen started bleeding and took to repairing discovering it's nor covered from warranty as 'physical damage '. Not sure how physically has been damaged as all has been use in proper way and open/close few times. I mean it is the main feature right?so if after few months the phone can't take the distress of their own feature I have to pay for the damage? Sorry samsung but that is a failure. If a phone is not ready to be on the market you shouldn't sell it, or at least cover for the damage that the phone normally has with use. Otherwise tell people that they pay on their own risk as it is still a trial feature. It's like if I use my touch screen phone and all the sudden it's not working. No cracks no damage that I can see but for ... MoreBought 8 months ago and the inside screen started bleeding and took to repairing discovering it's nor covered from warranty as 'physical damage '. Let me start by getting this off my chest early: "I have been an Apple user since smartphone inception and stepped over the line for the Fold concept". The features I love on this device are exactly what I was expecting, like the open screen which gives me the ability to use for work purposes as much as daily life, the Android open source structure where I can adapt my device how I like and the finish Samsung devics are typically known for. Sadly I miss the Apple interface and I can't get over the reasons why the front screen doesn't automatically update with apps you add into sub folders?? The biggest issue by far is not the Folds fault but a Samsung issue I expect would be experienced by all users who use dual-sim devices and that is the need to constantly change ... MoreLet me start by getting this off my chest early: "I have been an Apple user since smartphone inception and stepped over the line for the Fold concept". This is non-existent for Apple users, and from the conversations I've had with other Android brand users. In short, I miss the simple things.

Poor service for new screen protector
12 April 2022

I have had my ZFold for 8 months now and I have thought it's great. Never was I to go back to the old school phone. Just recently the protector for the inner display has come away down the entire crease of the screen. In order to change the protector I need a trained engineer and so it has to be sent away. This is totally inconvenient as I have to reset the phone to factory settings and be without a device for up to 2 weeks. This problem will happen again and I cannot be without my phone for work. I would have stayed with the ZFold 3 but with this issue with the screen protector is is very impractical to continue with it. If this gets sorted then maybe but I think more design is required before this phone is an everyday phone.

The Best Foldable You Can Buy
7 July 2022

Purchased this phone during a promotion and it made me a foldable fan. The Fold 3 is a solid, most sophisticated phone on the planet albeit with flaws. The performance is great, folding feels sturdy and can be opened at any angle. You don't notice the grease in the center during normal daily use at all. There are also tons of useful features and use cases for multiple screens. My only few issues are the battery life which can last you a whole day with ~10% charge, and the screen protector which I may need to replace maybe 2 years down the road. The price may feel expensive, but it is reasonable if you consider this phone is almost 2 phones combining into 1. If you can get a good deal, I'd say go for it. My next phone will be a foldable.

I brought the Galaxy Z fold 3 phone 1 year ago now and at that point I was absolutely excited to be purchasing it and at the same time brought an official phone case (leather flip cover). Over time, that excitement stayed and then the interior screen protector started to bubble. I was quick to take it to my nearest samsung approved repairer to get it changed over as I was aware this model only had 1 replacement within 12 months. As of yesterday I am beyond disappointed with this phone. Not only could they not replace the protector, they pointed out the frame was bent. The backbone of this incredible phone is a super-strong, yet lightweight Armor Aluminum frame, more durable to protect the interior parts of the hinge like a suit of armor. This was not the case of what I imagine was when the phone fell out of my pocket whilst seated and both the case and "strongest aluminium frame" failed to do what they say they would do. Up until my $740 quote to repair it I was happy to recommend both this phone and Samsung to friends and family, now, I won't be purchasing it recommending Samsung again after over 10 years of defending and purchasing their products.
