This thing is amazing! For an HD monitor, the picture is fantastic and the sound is very good for its size. The monitor is capable of downloading any streaming app you could ever want and the included Samsung TV Plus is a huge bonus since it has tons of channels and is free! At one point, I connected my Apple TV 4K so I could also have access to my Apple based services easier when I didn't want to use the apps on the monitor and the remote controlled it and my DVD player without any extra fiddling or settings. Linking it to the Smart Things app was super easy so I could use my phone as a remote when I didn't want to get up from bed to grab the remote from farther away. I used mine mainly as a TV for the bedroom, but I also used it to play my PC games through Xbox ... MoreThis thing is amazing! Excellent! Has every feature I need.

I have this wall mounted in the bedroom of my Airstream travel trailer. I stream directly to it from my Samsung Android phone when traveling using my unlimited cell date. Excellent picture. Slim lightweight design. Great quality sound and I love the new style remote. Having the Smart Features saves me from having an external device such as a Roku. Oh, and the internet feature is great. I can also use it as an external monitor for my laptop. There are tons of features. Too numerous to mention here. Actually, I have the same model in 32" in the living room area of my RV as well. I guess you could call me a Samsung lover!

I bought this monitor believing it to be a quality unit that would last me years since it says “Samsung” on it. It has a sturdy build and feel to it. Suddenly, 20 months into delicate desktop use, it failed to turn on. After hours or research and tech support, I have discovered the internal power supply has failed. And to top it off, it is no longer covered by waranty since it is beyond the 12 month coverage. Now I am forced with the decision to either pay to have it repaired or just buy a new one. This is a huge bummer since it is like new and in excellenet condition. I paid more for the supposed quality of this brand assuming it would last at least 5 years. Probably won’t be buying another Samsung anytime soon. Major let down.

Good monitor, ok for streaming
2 January 2022

Purchased the monitor today, it has one major flaw, the lack of a "wired" internet connection. This means it will only use a Wifi connection even if you have a wired connection nearby.I found the quality of the monitor for both my work PC and personal MAC to meet the expectation of a 1080p monitor. displayed fine. For the streaming, I found the quality of the picture to be "ok", it was pixelating. I took the Roku streamer I had connected to the TV this was replacing and found the picture quality highly improved. The monitors processor is either "too slow" for YouTube TV, or the lack of a wired connection is the issue. The Roku in my basement is connected to a wired internet connection. For me, this means the "Smart" part of the TV will likely not get used often ... MorePurchased the monitor today, it has one major flaw, the lack of a "wired" internet connection. I was hoping to eliminate the need for the Roku so I could free it up and attached to an older TV in a bedroom. The base of the stand is metal, but the connection to the TV is plastic, seems less sturdy than it could have been had they used a metal connector. I would have also liked some up/down flexibility, using two cookbooks to get the monitor into the correct position. For the price, it was a good value.

I wanted a computer monitor not a TV
9 August 2023

I don't use it for now and I am not sure what model it is. I assume that you would know since you contacted me for a review. It is sitting in a closet until I figure out how to combine it into a two-monitor configuration with my old Samsung 28" 4K monitor for tele-work on my business computer. I purchased it through an online Samsung chat where I pasted the model I wanted into the chat. The Samsung sales salesperson kept calling it a TV and I kept correcting him that I only wanted a computer monitor. I don't think I got the model I pasted into the chat. After setup, I had to force it to computer use from default TV use all the time. Sometimes I had to reboot the computer. When the computer went to sleep, my email stopped coming in and any applications that I had open were often off the screen. I purchased another Samsung 32" (real) computer monitor from a large online retailer. I love it. It only works as a computer monitor on my personal desktop computer with NO TV. I only watch TV on my Samsung 65" 8K TV.

It is a TV, not a monitor
8 June 2023

I purchased two 32" M50A in 2022. Not bad. It pretty much enlarges my original two 24" HP monitors. Loved it. I would give it 4 points in review. Until 2023, I purchased a 35" ultra wide screen monitor to replace one of the 32" M50A. By comparison, this 32" becomes a 2 points in review. In Word and Excel, this 32" shows black font more like dark gray. Bother of my monitors are set to 100% of the font size and my new 35" gives "crystal clear" quality. I wish I could afford to replace this to another 35" ultra wide monitor. My another complaint on this monitor is it is a TV, not really a monitor. Samsung website misleads to me that this monitor could display computer and Internet TV simultaneously. NO, it doesn't work that way. I have a Samsung TV in my working area. Everytime, I use the remote to control my TV, turn-on/off, volume up/down, it affects this monitor too. I also tried to reset settings of this monitor. It requires entering a four digits passcode to reset. But, there is no keypad from the remote for entering numbers. The onscreen control doesn't provide any virtual keypad. I ended up to use a Samsung TV remote that has the number keypad to reset the monitor. Samsung only provides 15 days return policy that is not long enough for me to fully test it. I wish I could return it or Samsung will give me reasonable trade-in for a better monitor.

Multiple monitor blues
26 September 2021

I bought 3 of these monitors to cover 3 different purposes: streaming TV, PC monitor, and security cam monitor. They are mounted on a triple stand using the VESA mounts. It's only day 2 with them, but here are my initial impressions.TV monitor: input is Fire Stick. Picture quality is good but took a lot of tweaking to get it bright enough and remove the yellow/green caste. It can be done via the "expert" settings, but is not very user friendly. Sound is okay for a monitor.PC monitor: didn't work with a VGA to HDMI cable I bought. My PC's docking station doesn't have HDMI output. Process of elimination pointed to a bad cable. Waiting on another to arrive.Security cam monitor: works fine with enough resolution to give details from 9 sub-screens.The remotes ... MoreI bought 3 of these monitors to cover 3 different purposes: streaming TV, PC monitor, and security cam monitor. Each responds to any of the 3 remotes. I don't see a pairing function on the settings menu that can be tweaked. Even my Fire Stick remote, which was set up for a Samsung HDTV, affects all the monitors. For some reason the security cam monitor did not go through the setup and registration process on startup, so only 2 of 3 are registered. Don't see a way to do that after startup.I'm not using the stands or many of the smart features, so can't comment on those. Just hope a good cable gets my PC hooked up.

Multitude of features and Great Samsung quality
15 June 2021

To start, I wanted the features of the M7, especially he USB-C port but not it's size. I settled on the 27" M5 and I can live with the lower resolution, especially because I'm not using this to edit video or primarily stream video. I do however like the ability to stream from all my favorite streaming apps and the familiarity of the interface as I have all Samsung tvs in my house.I won't waste time getting into the streaming apps, that works exactly as it does on modern Samsung tvs. I will start with the unique built in features like Remote Desktop and Office 365. Remote Desktop is a great function to have built in, however I am unable to use it because my company uses a VPN in conjunction with Remote Desktop. Remote Desktop is a great function to have built in, however I am unable to use it because my company uses a VPN in conjunction with Remote Desktop. Office 365 on the other hand is a great feature to have built in for those that need to be able to work from home from time to time and not have to connect a PC or laptop to this and want to mainly use this as an extra tv for streaming. Connect a bluetooth mouse and keyboard and login into your Office 365 account and you'll be able to work remotely in OUtlook, Word, Excel, etc and all your files stored in OneDrive. My only complaint regarding this feature is that finding isn't easy. It is a bit buried in the Remote Access area, when I think it should have its own shortcut.I have used the M5 with both my 2019MacBook Air and iPad Air 3. I primarily connect to the monitor via both HDMI to USB C/Thunderbolt 3 adapter and Airplay with my MacBook Air. The picture is fuzzy/blurry when connecting via Airplay and mirroring vs. extended display but I think this is due to the Mac's native resolution. Where this monitor really shined for me is when I used my old Thunderbolt display as my main connected display and used the M5 as a secondary display via Airplay. This was extremely benificial due to the limitation of only two USB C ports on the Air.Overall, I love this monitor. The sound it puts out is excellent. As with most Samsung monitors and TVs it's built extremely well and is very pleasant to look at. I don't have many issues with it. I will say, even though the M5 is the lowest price point, it still deserves and needs USB-C to connect with modern laptops. Also, don't lose the remote as the buttons for power and volume are hard to find under the Samsung logo.

My Monitor has many features
3 July 2023

I use is monitored to connect my computer wirelessly. I also have a connected to my phone through Samsung Dex. I also have apps downloaded such as Netflix, HBO Max, and Prime Video. It also is TV features which I do not use. The wireless capabilities are kind of a pain in the neck using the PC connection downloaded online Windows computer because it doesn't always work. I sometimes use it for gaming but the wireless connection from my computer is too slow even though I have fast Internet speeds. Using it for school is useful because the monitor is 27 inches compared to my computer which is only 17.

Samsung M5 27"
8 May 2023

I use my Samsung monitors for everything, I am a full time student and a part time engineer and I run dual monitor setup with two M5's. I run both a Acer Swift X and an Apple Macbook Pro both in clamshell mode with these monitors. Everything works flawlessly. My favorite feature is that when i don't want to get up and turn on the monitor to watch a quick video, I can pull a video up on my phone and shareplay it to the smart monitor. My only complaint is that my macbook (when connected to both monitors) switches main monitors everytime it sleeps which is extremely annoying. However, I am fairly certain this is a problem with the MacOS software not recognizing two different monitors.
