256 GB for a great price

Imagine how much the mobile manufactures charge for 256 GB of memory. Plug and insert this baby in at a small portion of the price and you’ve got now tons of free memory space. My phone is running much quicker now that it doesn’t have to rely only on the internal phone memory.

A nice option for my drone!

Recently II bought a magic drone and was in need of a reliable high capacity micro sd card. Since I never run into issues with Samsung, I gave the 256 GB Samsung Evo Plus a chance. Works great not a single error. Working rock strong!

Samsung's storage media have been the best professional and power-user choice for some years and this card is no exception. Being affordable helps but the quality is near unmatched. Going from a generic card to this has not only increased my storage volume but increased my device's performance drastically. There's no delay after pressing the shutter, apps run smoother and mass transfers are shorter.

Great card, great price
27 November 2020

Not quite the advertised speeds of (up to) 100 MB/s read and (up to) 90 MB/s write - I tested it and it gave me 86 MB/s read and 50 MB/s write. Still acceptable and would recommend this micro sd card. Quality brand name product with lots of storage. Capable of approximately 12 hours 4k UHD, 39 hours Full HD, 75200 pictures, or 39400 songs. Plus how can you go wrong with 4-proof protection; the EVO can withstand up to 72 hours in seawater, extreme temperatures, airport X-ray machines and magnetic fields equivalent to an MRI scanner. Samsung provides a 10-year limited warranty.

Incredible price for so much space (for Switch)
12 December 2020

Bought this for use in my Nintendo Switch. It works like a charm and gives me so much space! It took only seconds for me to format it.The price is incredible! I remember paying 40$ for a 16gb many years ago and now being able to get 16x that for the same price?? Insane!! Absolutely insane. And it's backed by Samsung's reliability and quality, which is a plus. While Samsung is not and has never been my brand of choice in terms of computers and memory (Western Digital and Toshiba, as well as SanDisk, tend to dominate), this is definitely guaranteed to last because Samsung has made leaps and bounds in this tech in recent years.

Samsung 256 sd memory card
4 November 2021

Being a photographer with a Samsung note phone using my Nikon snapbridge app, I have a ton of photos, like over 20k on my phone. So this spared my phone from crashing! I sent most files to this memory card off my phone and it barely has a dent of memory used. I wanted the 512 card, but they were out of stock. Happy thus far. Glad I got it on sale, saving me a few bucks.

Samsung EVO Plus microSD 100MBs Memory Card with Adapter 256GB
5 September 2021

Excellent. This Samsung Evo Plus card is exactly the same spec as the offering from Amazon which I had purchased previously for use in my Shanling DAP. I was quite happy with this and was about to order another 2 Amazon cards when amazon pulled a typical stunt and increased the price by £2 and the following day by another £5 ie over £33 in total each. The Evo plus cards came in geuine Samsung heavy plasic blister packs which need to be cut in half to extract the contents. Both types register 238GB available memory. Both types read and write fast enough to satisfy my requirements ie DAP use, so I see no need to go for anything faster- maybe high end photographic, so for me a no brainer.

Seamless connection
20 January 2021

what i love about the evo plus sdxc memory card is the seamless connection to all of my devices. the size capacity makes it perfect for taking loads of videos, and images. the transfer rate is fast as well. this is the best memory card i've used thus far. i also love the durability and the reliance of knowing that my images will remain safe. it is super annoying losing quality memories. i don't feel that way using this memory card. this card has also held up on hot days and cold days. this is what makes it a quality product. i recommend.

Speed as expected
15 November 2021

I put the card into laptop internal card reader as additional space to store photos, videos and music. I tested it first and the speed was as indicated in other reviews of the product - around 80 MB/s read and 50 MB/s write, obviously depending on the size of files transferred. In real life, with encryption turned on, I get write speeds over 30 MB/s (as reported by the system, not a specialised testing software). Good for everything apart from the most demanding uses. I have not checked the limitations of my card reader, so some of the results may be down to it. In summary, I would happily buy another one when needed.

Worst build quality, never buy Samsung SD
19 March 2021

When I bought this SD card, i meant for this to be a large capacity that I would use for my smartphone. But, when I got this card, something horrible happened.I tried to place this card into MicroSD card slot on a windows computer and it was transferring at 6 MB/s.My phone read at 69MB/s read and 19MB/s write. So, okay, right?WRONG.After I ejected the card from the computer, it stopped working anywhere. Not detected.$130 down the drain. If you have $130 or more to spend on SD cards, get a UHS II card instead. Samsung cards are outdated and none of these cards have the V class.
