I love how stylish it looks and abilitynto connect to almost anything so easily. It can play most video formats when you transfer movies to the TV. .The ability to add apps such as Facebook, Optus Sports and many others definitely makes streaming a better experience instead of watching on my phone.Easily can connect both my Samsung and my wife's new apple phone to the TV for streaming.I MUST SAY, YouTube is very clear and sounds great when compared to my older 42" TV.Also when switching to usb, pc or YouTube, It instantly resumes from where you left it. E.g. you don't have to go back into YouTube and hunt down what you were just watching if you accidentally turned the TV off or switched to pc.The remote also is very small and compact and solar powered so very cool !!

I bought this TV having read the reviews and finding it was the best option for what I wanted (I live in an apartment and appreciate the ability to use with legs and position however I want). The picture quality is remarkable, the blacks are as deep as can be resulting in a stunning visual experience especially when watching films and series. The user interface is good, not as simple and exciting as say an Apple TV, but not far behind. In fact, I’m finding myself using only the Samsung and not the Apple TV product at all. I would definitely recommend this television as a great all-round TV experience for any consumer. Plus, it’s a gorgeous piece of creative design that stands out in a way unlike any other tv.

Recently purchased the 2022 55" Serif. Externally it is a gorgeous looking TV that doesn't for once, look like a piece of huge tech dominating the living room but rather more like part of the decor. In fact it will likely become a minor talking point with guests seeing it for the first time because it is so distinctive and nice looking. The screen is stunning. More than bright enough in bright daylight near windows. Colours are natural (after tweaking the picture settings from the factory showroom one). Nice balanced tones and contrast. The new matt screen surface feature for the 2022 version is brilliant, neutralising all ambient light reflections. I predict other manufacturers will copy this feature looking ahead. The Serif plays nicely with the latest Sonos Arc ... MoreRecently purchased the 2022 55" Serif. The new matt screen surface feature for the 2022 version is brilliant, neutralising all ambient light reflections. I predict other manufacturers will copy this feature looking ahead. The Serif plays nicely with the latest Sonos Arc soundbar via eArc-HDMI connectivity but did need some tweaking to sync the sound to the image which can be achieved via settings.Setting up via the software prompts/guide is easy and should be too for the non-techies out there. Connected to our home WiFi easily.I should mention Samsung's treatment of the rear, especially the cable management and the smooth panel that unclips / clips back on, hiding the ports and cables, is well thought through and a nice touch providing a dust free clear lines appearance.I haven't yet used the inbuilt NFC capability on top of the TV to play music directly from my phone as we use a connected media centre (Mac Mini) to store and play our media (music, movies, pictures). On this point, we are experiencing HDMI connectivity issues between the Mac Mini and the Serif. The Serif becoming a monitor for the Mac Mini for playback of media. Other users online are experiencing similar issues apparently. I'm currently looking at a workaround so hopefully this can be resolved. Finally, a couple of other mentions - the remote control is very good. Minimal controls. Just enough to use day-to-day. Easy to read and use via the inbuilt Samsung TV menu navigation. Feels great in your hand. Responsive. Controls both the TV and the Sonos Arc and does not need environmentally wasteful AA or AAA batteries. Yes that is right, it charges its own inbuilt lithium battery, initially via a USB-C cable and then is kept topped up via a small solar panel on the rear. Brilliant Samsung! Finally a nice looking remote one is happy to leave out on the coffee table rather than hide away. The design complements the TV design nicely. The final item worth mentioning too is how easy it is to load apps into the menu. We stream all of our free2air channels rather than receive via broadcast (via TV antenna). Searching for iView and SBSOnDemand apps and loading them took a couple of minutes at most. You can easily delete unwanted channel / streaming apps if like me you want to get rid of clutter. Samsung pre-loads software/apps I didn't want. Samsung have included advertising in their software. Some may not like this 'intrusion'. I ignore it and choose the app I'm looking for.Would I recommend the Serif? Yes. Certainly one to consider to compare with others if you are in the market for a new TV along with its sister product, the Samsung Frame (same tech features).

I bought this TV about 2 weeks ago and I am so glad that I did. Samsung also always the choice but was torn between buying their typical black panel TVs vs this one. The Serif is not your average TV because the unit itself serves as a decorative piece that blends in with your living area. I like to think of it as a screen fitted into an picture frame (albeit a very large one) that instead of hanging on a wall, stands nonchalantly on its four legs (or separately without the legs). Going by the images, at first, my wife and I thought it looked more like a small white chalkboard for kids but trust me, when you see it placed against similar design elements like art or furniture, it really stands out. Plus I bought this TV (which was on sale) on Samsung's Cashback deal ... MoreI bought this TV about 2 weeks ago and I am so glad that I did. Going by the images, at first, my wife and I thought it looked more like a small white chalkboard for kids but trust me, when you see it placed against similar design elements like art or furniture, it really stands out. Plus I bought this TV (which was on sale) on Samsung's Cashback deal where we bought a Samsung sound bar along with the Serif. The savings alone exceeded $1000, so it was a super great deal! Got a ton of compliments from family and friends already so if you're looking to trailblaze and do something out of the ordinary, get the Serif!Pros: great decorative piece, portable and easy to move around the house, great image quality especially in 4k, no lagging whatsoever when streaming online.Cons: I guess the only con I can think of is that it can't be hung against a wall, not that it needs to, because the Serif is not meant for that. If you want a TV that hangs, then go get their black panel TVs across the range. Go be average! Lol
I bought this TV about 5 weeks ago to replace my old LG that gave up the ghost after 10 years. The new Samsung has exceeded my expectations. The picture and sound quality are awesome , it's also my first smart TV being connected to the internet means I have all my favourite streaming options at my fingertips. This Samsung TV is the best thing I have bought this year, I am happy to recommend it to all my family and friends.
Overall an excellent TV, very responsive, easy to setup, looks great even in bright light, interface is easy to navigate. Two issues however, first the voice feature does not work (haven't reset the TV yet, but why should this be necessary!). Thankfully I don't really use the voice features anyway, but still a negative. Worse is the backlight bleed through - only noticeable if all lights are off, but this kills the option for a true cinematic experience. Overall I'm happy with it, the issues are minor annoyances, not deal-breakers (at least for me).
I bought this Smart tv after my son telling me to ditch my dinosaur, that I’d had for about 17 years !!!! I did a little research and found this amazing tv. It looks like a picture frame, & obviously I wanted it in the cotton blue. After seeing it in store it looked even better than the photos. It was easy to take out of the box although I do recommend a two person lift. Cords were easy to set up and has easy to follow directions. Now for someone who isn’t tech savvy I was able to connect it to the internet easy peasy, picture and sound is amazing and the emails I get from Samsung are great. I wasn’t a 100 % sure on how to use all the features of the remote but after Samsung’s email, I got this. Thanks Samsung, I love it so much I’m looking at a fridge now to ... MoreI bought this Smart tv after my son telling me to ditch my dinosaur, that I’d had for about 17 years !!!! The Serif design prompted me to finally buy my first ever TV as an adult. Television design has been so boring since the 1970s and early 80s … finally a contemporary design that augments my living space whether on or off.The matte screen is great - no annoying reflections - and it is easy to set up and navigate the various functions. Movies look great in filmmaker mode and the sound is good enough for my purposes. Excellent and intuitive solar remote is a bonus, with voice activation much appreciated!I bought the 43 inch which I just love. Great TV!
I chose this for the bedroom because it looks more like a piece of furniture than a TV. The antiglare facility is the best, and I love the Samsung system. The tech support was also exceptional in helping set up things like SBS and iview into the menu bar. They even gave me a 30% discount on any future purchases, so nice! It was my second Samsung purchase - from the GG's of course. Love them too
I've had Samsung TVs for 20 years and thought I was familiar with their operating systems but this one is taking a while to learn. The user manual is over 250pp long and too daunting to take on in a week so I've been following some user forums to learn some shortcuts. The picture quality is good although the factory settings made the black too grey. The lack of reflection off the screen is a godsend as we often sit at an angle to dine while we watch. The sound is OK but I'll probably get a sound bar to refine it in future. Setting up apps etc has taken a while too. So far, so good.
