Cant Use my Firestick!
19 December 2022

So I was very excited to get this TV delivered and mounted. I read so many reviews and just could not wait. Well, the TV blew me away amazing picture and quality BUT!Yes there is a BUT! It is not compatible with the Amazon Firestick or Fire Cube. If you use these devices as much as I do then return it and get your money back as soon as possible. All other devices work: Spectrum Box, Roku, Playstation and DVD player (I had to borrow these as I don’t own these devices). The geek squad guys that installed the TV tried for hours to get this working and no luck. They told me to go to the store and get a new one connect box as they thought that was the issue. Well I drove to Best buy explained and luckily they had a new one lying around. I even went back to best buy and both new HDMI cables for 8K and still no luck. After contacting Amazon numerous times and getting a live agent from the States they stated that my TV was on the list of non-compatible with Amazon Fire Stick and Fire Cube. So, long story don’t buy this if that is what use with your TVs!

Fantastic 8k TV for larger budgets
28 August 2022

You often hear the old adage “You get what you pay for!” Well, in this case, that saying is certainly true. This is an expensive television, but it also is top of the line when it comes to features. There is a larger 95 inch LG that is available, but that runs even more money at about $27k and only is a 4k set. This TV is 8k AND it upscales all video to 8k with the aid of its internal processing power. So first thing you notice with this TV is that it is HUGE mounted on a wall but also amazingly thin. The included remote is simple and can charge via USB or solar cells on the back of the remote.Turning this TV is quick and you are very soon impressed with the image quality. Seriously..it measures just a hair over a half inch thick! The included remote is simple and can charge via USB or solar cells on the back of the remote.Turning this TV is quick and you are very soon impressed with the image quality. Even with normal cable TV, the colors really pop and the image is extremely bright using the default “Intelligent” picture settings. I had to turn the brightness down to only about 18 (out of 50) because it literally hurt my eyes at times with how bright it could be. Having the brightness up that high (40 to 50 range is how it ships), will also let you literally feel the heat coming off of the unit after many minutes of use.AV forums recommend using the “filmmaker” picture mode, but to me, it seemed dull and less lively with the colors, so I’ve left the “intelligent” picture settings on and decreased the brightness as I mentioned. Colors are amazing and skin tones look great. If you stream some 4k or the semi-8k videos that you can get on YouTube these days, you will be floored. It truly is an amazing TV and looks better to me than any of my smaller 4k sets. This is good because normally, larger TV’s are not as sharp with their pictures as smaller sets. This TV is the exception, in my opinion. The TV comes with a selection of digital subscription apps that you can quickly and easily access using the remote control. Other apps can be downloaded. The standards from Amazon and Netflix to Apple Plus and Disney are available. They work really well too and run FAST. ALL the menus and apps on this TV are very snappy and responsive, which is nice. I’ve seen plenty of TV’s in the past that run apps like Netflix as if they are moving thru Jello. The viewing angle of this set is insane. If you’re not directly to the side of it, you’ll be able to see the picture. This TV also uses what Samsung calls a “Smartbox” to connect all your cables and inputs. This is nice because if you have the TV mounted on a wall, you don’t have the visual or hassle of having a bunch of cables connecting to the TV. There is ONE proprietary Samsung cable that connects the TV to the slim but heavy ‘Smart Connect’ box and all your other cables plug in there. For anyone who uses a game console or has children who do, this TV also has a “Game Mode” that claims to reduce or eliminate any input lag from controllers and supports all the new fangled HDR and enhanced settings. Video games look amazing and the response is instant. No lag. As one would EXPECT with a TV at this price point. So overall I fully recommend this TV if you have the cash to spare and want a brilliant, beautiful, huge TV and also want one that is future proof. 4k content is really just getting in gear as far as content goes and 8k is still very rare. This TV will handle the 4k easily and up convert it to what looks even BETTER to my eyes. Plus, when 8k content starts taking off and getting popular, you will be ready. This was important to me as I wanted a great set, loved the size but also wanted it to last. I don’t plan on buying a new TV every 2-3 years like I know some do. If it’s important to you, then that is one more reason you will love this TV. Overall, very well done, Samsung!

Good Product
4 May 2023

I have had the Samsung 75" 8K UHD QLED 2022 edition (QN75QN900BFXZC) for a few weeks. I am impressed with the sharp picture quality and its brightness. The Best Buy Geek squad with two men set up the TV using the Sanus Multi tilt mount (which I would recommend) that I purchased. They did a good job installing the TV mount and cleaning up the cables.I would recommend reading the E manual for the TV. (I printed a hard copy of it -- all 270 pages.) This allows you to understand all the features of the TV.The Screen Mirror app on my Apple Cell phone is useful. This allows you to view your cell phone photo and videos on the TV.I would certainly recommend this TV.

Their own flagship models for 2021 don't communicate with each other, because the TV refuses to let the soundbar's alleged support for DTS, take the signal. So now I'm learning how to use eac3to in order to convert all my media to FLAC and lose Atmos/X Object Tracking because... ? Lies? False marketing? Corruption, greed & incompetence?Yes I have the latest firmware for both. TV 1903.0 and SB 1010.1. HDMI 2.1 connected to eARC on both.PC connected to HDMI 4 with audio passthrough and Game Mode working flawlessly.Only from my NAS or external HDD does the audio get reduced to the lowest of the low DD or if I'm lucky, the rare DD+.Streaming works great and Dolby Atmos shows up on the SB in supported movies.Bad design with the start bar. Overcrowding it with useless gimmicks to majority of customers without the ability to customize it, makes for a mildly frustrating experience navigating it for this option or that change.Speaking of gimmicks, between those and going back in time with audio compatibility, the price does NOT reflect the final product's capabilities. I'm not just buying a screen here only to have it be *my* problem with quality audio support... or should I be glad I have audio at all? Next up QNM9000A 16K screen with no audio! This is unacceptable! Do NOT buy this TV or any Samsung TV unless you're only watching content on streaming apps or gaming on it. It's perfect for that and as long as it still has audio regardless of quality, even for some good ol' cable TV.My previous flagship was a curved 2016 model which worked via optical with most format, especially of the DTS variety. Also, bring back curved TVs. Make it a choice. How many times do I have to say this, yet Samsung would rather go back in time first to make up for innovation down the line. In 2032 it'll finally support all forms of audio but it'll barely respond to commands and be very slow due to how overwhelmed with gimmicks the operating system will be.

Simply the best TV I’ve owned.
21 September 2022

I recently purchased my Samsung QN900B 65 inch television to replace my 75 inch previous version as I have downsized my home.To say I’m impressed is an understatement. If you’re here reading this, you have most likely reviewed the televisions capability and stats. All I can say is that for a real world owner who loves their Audio-Visual set up, this television compliments my high end A-V system and it’s a pleasure to relax with my favourite movies or music clips being streamed into this TV.I looked into other manufacturers but nothing came close to my Samsung. All I can do is highly recommend this TV as it surpasses my expectations and needs. It’s future proofing and I’m proud to have this unit displayed on my wall in my lounge room.

The Samsung is a masterpiece of technology and really brings the concept of a TV to a whole new level. The TV is able to be so thin and flat because the components, hookups, and power are all external in the One Connect which attaches with a single very thin wire. It's an engineering marvel and quite an accomplishment to send all the signals and power through a wire that is not even a 1/4" in circumference! This feature alone makes the TV worth purchasing as it allows the Samsung QN800A to hang on a wall and all your devices can be in a cabinet with just a single wire to the TV.Once you turn on the TV you will notice the picture quality and brightness, everything is sharp and vibrant and what you would expect from 8K.The TV remote is small and simple to use ... MoreThe Samsung is a masterpiece of technology and really brings the concept of a TV to a whole new level. The TV is able to be so thin and flat because the components, hookups, and power are all external in the One Connect which attaches with a single very thin wire. It even comes with a Guide so you can pick and choose what you want to watch easily. The Multiview feature is really interesting. Also with the Smart Things integration, all my other Samsung devices like the Powerbot vacuum and washer and dryer show up and are available, it is the hub for a truly smart home!Samsung has done an amazing job and at the top of their game. This is the best TV I've ever experienced and the features technology, and style just can't be beaten.
