Just installed this lock, the fourth digital lock from Samsung around my properties. The push/pull action to unlock of the handle works better than the slightly more expensive model, from Samsung (IMO). The unique benefits of this model is its ability to be unlocked in so many convenient and secure ways: fingerprint, passcode, temporary passcode (with expiration date), key fob, key, and best of all… remotely when the lock is connected to a wifi signal with internet access. I installed this in a vacant property we are currently renovating so I provided the “temporary” internet via a wifi pocket modem or old mobile phone giving off a hotspot signal. Both works equally well. Did I also mention the 2 + 7 yr warranty? Wow… highly recommended. Steven

This is an amazing digital doorlock. I've set it up with the Samsung Smartlock App and as the master of the home I get notifications of all tags and finger prints that have been used with timestamps.I also get notifications if the door has been left unlocked for 30 secs and when it has properly closed. You can name individual tags, stickers and fingerprints with ease to identify who is who. If a tag is stolen you can remove the recorded tag with ease on the app. Same applies to finger prints and stickers. As big brother as it sounds you will know all exits and entry. (I once had the mailman play with the finger scanner and had all 4 failed attempt notifications) You can even unlock the door when your off the property if say a family member forgot their tag or ... MoreThis is an amazing digital doorlock. This is useful if you're on holiday and are a little nervous someone might know the passcode or a friend who is uninvited decides to do something funny. If you are the boss of the house and like to know what's going on your property at all times then I strongly recommend getting this. It was well worth the money if you can afford it.

After checking out all the smart door locks on the market, I purchased this door lock and glad I did. Functionally it's terrific with various methods of unlocking (PIN, finger print, key tag, physical key, remotely via phone/app etc). Multiple pin assignment types (anytime, restricted date/time etc, one-use etc) each assignable to a unique name so you can tell who enters and when etc. All openings and closures are reported within seconds via the phone app, including identifying which username/pin/finger print etc opened the door which I think is a great security feature. Design is the most appealing to me of all the "smart locks" I checked out, particularly with the push/pull handle mechanism. Battery life is better than I expected too. Also something worth noting, is the support from Digital Door Locks (at no additional cost!) has proven quite helpful and represents great additional value.

We purchased the Samsung Smart Wi-Fi Fingerprint door handle for our front entry door. We followed the YouTube install tutorial and it was pretty easy. The quality is exceptional and it looks very fancy, adding a modern twist to the front facade. We love the fact that we can set a code and we never have to worry about the kids coming home from school and explaining how they've lost the key! Connecting the door handle to the Wi-Fi was surprisingly easy, and the app is great. It alerts us when some has opened the door and then alerts us again once it has been locked. It has many features. Excellent design for one time code uses for your house cleaner or an Air bnb type set up. We are very happy with the Samsung Smart door lock. It also comes with 2 swipe key tags (great for kids if they can't remember a code), and multiple keys for a manual use. Setting up the finger print part was straight forward and all information can be wiped off the system at any time should you want to change codes/finger print access etc. 10/10 would recommend.
Just have this new lock installed and absolutely stoked with the results. The installation was a breeze and programming was easy to do. It is so easy to use and has some great features. The automatic locking works really well and give a good sense of security. A notification if the door is left open is a great piece of mind. The remote unlock is fantastic as there are visitors for the kids. Very happy with the looks and the quality is superb
Functionality:1) The finger print reader operation/recognition has been an issue. I wonder if this is a user issue and I'm not consistently placing my finger in the same position used when initially creating finger print settings (when the door is open) as I use when later unlocking the (closed) door but I seem to have issues reliably getting the lock to later recognise configured finger prints so I'm not currently using the finger print reader. I've tried deleting the configured finger prints and re-creating but still have issues. Not sure yet but this could potentially be related to a hand positioning difference when creating and subsequently using finger prints to unlock the door, as the door is open when creating/configuring finger prints but is obviously ... MoreFunctionality:1) The finger print reader operation/recognition has been an issue. I've tried deleting the configured finger prints and re-creating but still have issues. Not sure yet but this could potentially be related to a hand positioning difference when creating and subsequently using finger prints to unlock the door, as the door is open when creating/configuring finger prints but is obviously closed when subsequently attempting to use the same finger print to unlock the door. Perhaps my hand is unknowingly being positioned differently between those two scenarios.I'll go through the creation/configuration of finger prints again and see if I can improve the usability as that function was one of the primary drivers when choosing which lock to purchase.2) Remote unlocking via the app. My NW has always been configured to not broadcast SSID for security reasons (after 30+ years in the IT industry... lol), but the lock seemed to "lose" NW connectivity every few days/weeks so I now broadcast my SSID to improve the reliability of the lock's NW connection. My local NW is very strong and considered "very good" according to the app but often takes more than one attempt to unlock the door via the phone app. It works but seems to take time to establish connection to the lock and sometimes takes more than one attempt.3) Pin. Reliable and what I use. Being able to setup multiple guest accounts with pre-determined scheduled access/availability is quite handy.4) Battery life. The lock has been installed for a few months and the app shows 80% of battery life left (8xAA's), so battery usage appears to be quite good.Lock Design:The push/pull mechanism is very good and works well. The design both in terms of mechanism and appearance is what I preferred of all the locks I looked at.Installation:Performed by an independant 3rd party locksmith and was very good, quick turn-around, efficient installation and helpful registering the lock, application setup/usage etc and explaining operation.Would I but it again?Yes. While there are aspects that appear to require further investigation, the mechanism, functionality and style are still preferable to all other locks I considered.
Its a good lock with good features but the biometric fingerprint sensor is extremely unreliable! Till date, of my family of four, only I persist in trying to use the fingerprint sensor to unlock and fail to do so 90% of the time. The rest of the family members just enter a long passcode. Not very convenient. We have all tried setting up our fingerprints multiple times but the sensor remains very finicky. You'd have to be a robot to place your finger just right on the sensor every single time to be able to unlock.
I purchased this lock for my new house to make it easy to all family members to enter the house and keep the place safe. The multiple unlocking methods make our lives easy. The auto-lock function gives peace of mind. Multiple passcodes allow even friends and tradies to enter the house once without giving keys to them. The stylish design adds value to the front of your house. The customer service team is very helpful and helped me resolve installation errors remotely. By all means it was a SMART move
I bought this lock recently with very little research into the digital locks. It was an easy buying experience. I chose it over the other latest model from Samsung for its push pull feature. Love it!The one thing I wish the sales people can improve on is to ask if you have a double door to install this lock because when we contacted a locksmith for the install he asked if we purchased a retrofit and rebate kit. So make sure you pick one up if you have a double door like ours.As for the app, it takes a little getting use to and we’re still trying to figure it out. They seem to continually update as per everyone’s reviews so at least the consumers are being heard. Also wish they have longer warranty periods for a lock that is quite pricey for the average ... MoreI bought this lock recently with very little research into the digital locks. Would I recommend this lock to others? Yes, because the features are wonderful. There are several methods to “unlock” the door. • Fingerprint reader. • Pin number entry. • Magnetic card (Credit card style). • Key tag. • Wi-Fi via your phone • Good old regular key for any emergencies. For ease of entry, the fingerprint sensor is wonderful. One touch and you’re in! For those of us that may have trusted persons visiting home unexpectedly, the Wi-Fi is great. You can open the door from the other side of the planet if you are in a phone signal zone. The written instructions included with the lock could be improved, but if you take the time to review the on-line videos, installation and set-up become clear. As soon as we had exhausted the possible “inexperienced installer” potential, a replacement part was in our hands within 24 hours. Outstanding. Tony Blackmans Bay Tasmania
