This will be my last Rokinon or samyang product ever purchased. The lens mount fell off without any type of motivation to do so other than absolutely abhorrent design and build. It calls into question the very morals and ethics of the people manufacturing and distributing this abomination.

Although excited at first with my first couple of uses with this lens, it has been nothing short of one of the biggest headaches. In just shy of 2 1/2 months, the small screws that hold the incredibly heavy lens to its mount, began falling out of place. One of the screw's filament must have been stripped as it won't hold in place. That being said the lens literally falls off of my Sony with little no use in my time owning it. Others seem to have had this same issue, and Rokinon doesn't stand by their product one bit. It's impossible to reach them via phone number and after some back and forth trying to find a solution via email they stopped answering altogether. I would MUCH rather have paid the money for a reputable lens. Needless to say they lost my business for ... MoreAlthough excited at first with my first couple of uses with this lens, it has been nothing short of one of the biggest headaches. Had this lens for abut 5 moths and it was great but one day the Whole lens felt apart for the mount, due to cheap plastic that holds the entire ring mount ... leaving the mount ring attached to the camera luckily was able to remove it without damage to the camera mount. Once this lens is revise for better quality maybe maybe will think on getting one other wise not worth spending almost 1k on this.

Enjoyed the lens for video with my A7iii for about 4 months. Then IT FELL APART. Completely unacceptable and Rokinon won't help at all. It's a shame because although it was a bit heavy for gimbal use, I really did like the quality. I will no longer buy from Rokinon though. What a waste of hard earned money.
Pros: Excellent value for money and produces brilliant images.Cons: Still has some focusing issues and is very heavy.
From the outside the lens appears to be very durable, but it isn't. Like others who have reviewed, the lens mount on mine broke off due to it being internally attached with 4 tiny screws into plastic. The camera was on a tripod at the time. I suppose it didn't happen while hand holding because I usually have a hand supporting the heavy lens. I can't get warranty support because I lost the serialized warranty card. I'd try gluing the mount back together, but there's no point because the connector for the ribbon cable ripped off when the lens fell. While it was usable it was a great lens, sharp, good focusing, etc.
The worst product and the worst company to deal with ..... in not even three months the product broke ... to fix it ? Of course they aren't going to do it fo freeNot to say anything about replacement .....
I have owned 2 of these lenses and both had the same exact issue! After about 3 months of normal use they both broke at the base. It was incredibly difficult to get a replacement as Rokinon has the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. I am now stuck with a $1,000 lens that has a 3 month expiration date. I have a 3rd replacment on the way. Hopefully they have upgraded the internal materials used to hold the lens together if not I will be highly upset. I would highly advise against buying this product. Get the Sigma 24-70 instead.
its been a less than a month since i purchsed and using it , i been a real fan of rokinon lens and i have purchase the whole range.. and that the reason i purchase the newly introduce auto lens, but today i regret i order it the build quality is very poor , its a plastic base with holds the entire lens. i just tried to remove lens from my camera body and this happened, then i saw the whole lens is carried by four screws in a plastic base. so beware before you purchase it, Rokinon please look into this , i have loose 900 $ plus custom charges. total waste of money.
We received the lens about 5 months ago and while taking the camera out of its suitcase the lens broke at the base. We never drop the lens, it's just made with very poor quality. It has been wasted money, because Rokinon does not help at all in terms of the warranty.
