The blurb for these says 'Walk anywhere in this lightweight, trail- and water-ready sandal.' These shoes fail miserably at achieving this. I bought them in an end of season sale last summer and only wore them a handful of times then. On two occasions I found it really difficult to walk on slightly wet paths with them - they became so slippery that I struggled to take steps without slipping over. Even my husband noticed how much I seemed to slide around in them.Fast forward to this Summer and I wore them once to walk around a town. Needless to say I broke my ankle whilst wearing these shoes.They are destined for the bin and I will never wear these again.

I really like the fit and comfort of these sandals. The uppers still look almost new after my trips to Colombia, Panama and Costa Rica where I did quite a bit of hiking though none of it over rough terrain. I've now owned them for 20 months. However, after wearing them just a few times this summer the sole of the shoe separated from the top of the show - a KNOWN defect for which Keen has clearly not found a resolution. The warranty is for 12 months. These sandals should have at least a couple of more years of use but now I am faced with a fairly expensive repair with unknown durability. I will not purchase another pair in the future.

I wear these sandals every day. Extremely comfortable. Fantastic for beach combing, yard work, gardening, and even light hiking trails, yet they look great when paired with a casual 'going to town' outfit. These are my favorite Keen shoes, which is why I gave 5 stars. BUT they are not that durable for the price. These sandals don't stand up long to daily wear in wet/humid areas. The straps around the ball of the foot tend to separate from the sole within about 9-10 months. If Keen could strengthen the binding in this area, these sandals would be perfect.

This style of hiking / trekking outdoor sandal is perfect for nearly any occasion we find ourselves enjoying all summer long!! They are super comfortable, very breathable and have fantastic stability and grip for hiking. The toe cover is perfect to keep your feet safe around rocks and sticks and essential for trail hiking. These shoes do great in the water as well and are the best companions for stream crossings or river wading too. This is my 4th pair… and each pair lasts for many many miles. I even love wearing them with socks in the cool weather camping or hiking. I feel they are true to size and very adjustable to accommodate different foot widths etc. I would give them 10 stars if I could!!!
Already having 3 pair of whispers, I had to add these because of all the color. I'm a professional artist wearing your sandals everywhere. As a Hot Springs National Park Artist-In-Residence I walked trails & I painted in them. I wear them working in an Art gallery, goin to Drs., shopping etc. My son teases that I wear them even in winter! (w/socks)These do have a noxious smell. None of my previous pairs had this. These almost made me have a full respiratory illness while I was out doing errands all day. I've aired them outside now but it's still pretty strong. I keep them in their box normally when I'm not wearing them.
Brought these last week. Looking for shoes to wear on holidays - beachside. Feel comfortable. Wish they had the Velcro strap so easier to get on and off. Look good and hope that they do they job when I'm on vacation. My old pair very good - just the tread is worn so needed new pair. They look like good shoes - however I do feel they are expensive even when on sale. I looked online for stock before going to the store - it always varies when I get there - would be nice to have sizes as I was also hoping to get some walking shoes. Customer service was good.
This is my third (yes, 3rd!!!) pair of Keen Clearwater.. I started buying one in sale during the summer of 2017 and still own and use them! I only have 3 places I call home and I’m getting tired of schlepping them from one place to the next. This is good for wallon gin the mountain, as well as on the beach,In the Rhône river as in the city Bain des Paquis, I often swimm with them, with a drybag so that I can walk back to my bike no matter how is the ground or the rocks. I only own 3 kind of shoes. And these are my fave!!! Sometimes, I even use them during winter with big merinos socks and I never get colds. By the way, it’s what Matthieu Ricard, the translator of the dalaï lama told me in a TGV ride, when I asked him if he didn’t feel the cold!!!

The Keen brand was known for wide toe box and these whispers that I ordered are narrow just like other brands of shoes!! No wide toe box, no sizes available in wide width. Shoe width is narrow making it uncomfortable! This brand is way too expensive to be wearing uncomfortable footwear! I have winter boots and previously purchased waterproof sandals that I wear everyday! They are well used hence why I ordered new ones. But this company has decreased quality and fit to charge the same price! So disappointed in the Keen brand! There is no room for my toes. For years, every summer I buy a new pair of Keen Whisper sandals, and use last year's pair as my water shoes. I have probably purchased over a dozen pairs of Keen sandals and have always used them for river walking. Well, just like every other manufacturer, it looks like Keen is cutting costs while maintaining prices. They must have switched the glue they use because this summer when I used my old Keens in the river the soles fell clean off after about half an hour. It seems the glue melted right out or was not waterproof. This will probably be my last pair of Keens. Time to try something new.
This was my first pair of Keens. I got the tie dye print on a size 11. I have wide feet and they we wide enough for me thankfully! I originally ordered them because I love tie dye anything. Quickly I fell in love with how comfortable they are. I wore them for anything from a quick trip to the store to doing yard work. I love how easy they are to just spray off to clean up. Thwy are very fast drying. I did ask if they are considered water shoes and the rep said no. However I recently joined an Aqua Zumba and Aqua Aerobics class and have been wearing them. Super comfortable, no rubbing issues, good traction, and fast drying. I would recommend these shoes for the sheer versatility that they have. Will get another pair for sure!
