Compact Sandisk USB Flash Drive for iphone with lightening connector 128 GB

This drive is compact, large storage ability, loads fast so no problem with performance. You need to pay attention to the style of a SanDisk you're buying as this isnt the one with the hook (which I would have preferred). Still it does a great job transferring photos out of your iphone and into your laptop etc.I transferred 608 photos in just a few minutes; optionally I could wipe the ones out in the phone to free up space. I did notice that photos in the Sandisk are not exactly in the same order as in the phone, there maybe a trick I'll learn later to deal with that. Pretty neat!

You get prompted to download SanDisk's file manager, which is fine, and it works pretty well. I used this device as part of a four-step process of copying files FROM my wife's Galaxy S10 (Android) TO her iPad (iOS). First; copy files FROM the phone onto a USB-C/USB-A flash drive. Copy THOSE files to a PC. Then copy the files onto the SanDisk iXpand 64GB drive; insert into iPad and copy files there. It's somewhat cumbersome, but reliable - it works. I'm certain someone will recommend a "simpler" method, but this works and can be used again and again.

Good hardware, and badcopying software
20 April 2022

Thanks for having the option to export pics. But the software is really bad. It renames all the pictures with its own extension '~picture', '~video'. There is not sort order by images properties like data modified. Instead were given a crappy way of sorting the pictures copied on date, which is not useful

I am very sad. I lost my information. The flash of
13 February 2022

It's very bad. I bought an ix pand 128G USB flash drive and only used it three times, once with the iPhone 13 Pro Max and again with the iPhone 13 Pro Max and the third time via the OTG connection in the Samsung Note 10 Plus and when Using it for the fourth time, it no longer appears on the computer, on the iPhone, or on the Samsung. I don't know what the reason is, and the temperature is rising very high. Can the problem be solved? I have important information inside the flash. The size of my information is only 2G.I ask for help from the support team. I want to buy another piece and transfer everything inside the flash of electronics, but will it work?

Inconsistently Good for iPhone
17 June 2021

I got this drive specifically to make transferring pictures more convenient from my phone to an external device (this drive). I really want to love this product for its massive space and convenience, however it has been inconsistently good. Perhaps it’s because I have an older phone (iPhone 6), but when I plug it into my phone, my phone doesn’t always recognize it’s in and asks me to insert the drive when it’s already in. And too often the app will crash (I think that’s what’s happening) forcing me to start over. So I can only reliably use it as a regular flash drive to plug into my computer, and not with my iPhone. It works fairly well with my computer, however just disappointed it doesn’t work well with my phone.

Quick and Easy Storage for Iphone
2 January 2020

This is a great device to backup pictures and videos on the go! There have been many times when I couldn't take a photo because my storage was full. This ixpand mini is quick and easy. You can transfer a few photos or all of them at one time! I am so glad I finally made this purchase! There are a couple of cons. I wish I had purchased the other model. When I saw mini in the title, I thought it would be less obtrusive. I was wrong. I still like it despite the fact that it protrudes a lot. The other con, and I've only attempted this once, I tried to transfer all of my photos, and it didn't look like they all transferred. So, before you delete your photos after transferring, I would double check that they all transferred. Again, I haven't played around with it a lot ... MoreThis is a great device to backup pictures and videos on the go! Small compact easy to use with dedicated software
19 July 2021

Love this little device, its easy and doesn't take long to download photos too. The software needed has its limitations though. A few simple commands you would think to be easy is not so obvious. However, once sorted its quick. Be sure that you can upload downloaded photo to your MAC. There can be different file formats brought across. OH another thing, you need to de-case your phone before plugging in ZIP for better connection

Very good device with a cap that's designed to be instantly LOST! Why bother?
1 April 2020

I lost the tiny, isty teeny cap within minutes! Why not make the cap larger so it would not disappears so easily? The device is already VERY small, why make the cap so tiny! No reason not to make it a little longer. 2 people who recommended this device also lost the cap the first day they had it. If the cap was intended to be attached permanently I understand. But since it's (BADLY) designed to be removed and reattached wouldn't you ensure it would NOT be lost? REDICULOUS! My solution? I found a little plastic bag to keep it in. It's such a shame having such a fine device only to have it partially disappear because of some stupid design decision.

Works OK (sort of)
10 June 2020

I bought this so I could put movies and TV shows on the drive and watch them through my iPhone and iPad. The included SanDisk iXpand Drive software will only play .avi files. Apple’s player will play .mp4 files. You will need to download a 3rd party player for .mkv or files. There is a lite version of nPlayer that is free, but it is $4.95 to remove ads from their software. Also, nPlayer won’t work on older iPads. Finally, the drive does stick out pretty far from the iPad/iPhone, so you’d need to be careful with it. And, the cap is very tiny and easy to lose.
