If you have a dash cam or any other recording device which keeps recording in a loop, you absolutely need a high endurance sd card. When I got a dash cam 7 years ago, I killed three normal "extreme" sd cards within a couple of years before I found out they weren't made for constant writing when full. I then purchased this product, and it's still going strong 5 years later. So now when I'm buying another dash cam for my kid's car, I'm buying this product again as it's the only one I've ever used which is up to the job.

Exceeded my expectation - especially regarding what I discovered after the purchase! I bought this for a Thinkware dash cam. After having my windows tinted I had to leave my dashcam removed for a week. I installed this new SD Card after reinstalling the dash cam and had an issue with the rear cam not working. I called the company and they stated they could ONLY guarantee their product with their SD Card and then ONLY up to 128GB. They wanted $100 for their 128GB card!!! This SanDisk 256BG was far less on sale! Come to find out, the card had zero to do with the rear cam not functioning. The cam was just reinstalled incorrectly. The SanDisk 256GB is flawless and works perfectly!!! No need to buy a smaller overpriced SD Card, Sandisk has this application covered with ... MoreExceeded my expectation - especially regarding what I discovered after the purchase! My previous SanDisk High Endurance (128GB) lasted about two years in my dash cam recording 4K front and 1080p rear, both at a very high bit rate. It started to have hiccups which I still cannot narrow down to dash cam or card. I reflashed firmware to the camera and that seemed to fix the issue even with the old card installed, but I thought after two years it was time to retire the card out of an abundance of caution. (I always planned to replace the card every year anyway as I used to....I can always use them in my DSLR or Raspberry Pis after I retire them and it's cheap insurance for a dash cam that I need to work....but when I didn't drive for most of 2020 due to COVID I decided to get lazy with the plan.)Anyone who's read reviews of other sellers knows fakes ... MoreMy previous SanDisk High Endurance (128GB) lasted about two years in my dash cam recording 4K front and 1080p rear, both at a very high bit rate. Still, I always test the item. This is genuine, and it is fast. Benchmarks attached, this was plugged in through an Anker USB-C hub that has a built in micro SDXC reader. The card likely would be faster through a San Disk/WD reader since read and write aren't likely really that close (which suggests the hub is the limiting factor here), but this was good enough to confirm for me that it's genuine and is plenty fast enough to record two high bit-rate camera feeds.Replacement every year is probably overkill, depending on your use case. I won't get lazy with my routine again, though. Good cards are worth the price if you ever do need evidence after a crash (I've been there, believe me).

My use for this card is for a Raspberry Pi that runs Pi-Hole, Unbound, and PiVPN.The capacity is perhaps too large for my use case, but I was interested in speed, reliability, and longevity. Only time will tell, but the card works flawlessly so far.One issue for the card was it was the capacity was slightly smaller than my Samsung microSDHC card it was replacing and therefore I couldn't clone that card to this one. After price matching everyone's favorite online retailer, the value was there. The plus with ordering with Best Buy is being able to use any accumulated rewards and peace of mind that the item is genuine. The only issue I had with the item was the shipping. The plus with ordering with Best Buy is being able to use any accumulated rewards and peace of mind that the item is genuine. The only issue I had with the item was the shipping. The item itself is very small but it was packaged in a ridiculously large flat cardboard "envelope". It almost seemed like it was just a flat piece of cardboard with nothing inside. This may or may not have something to do with the USPS mishandling it. It shipped to my local USPS from Los Angeles, then OUT to Denver, then back to Los Angeles, then finally back to my local USPS resulting in the item taking a few days longer to arrive.
I use the SanDisk "High Endurance" MicroSD cards in various Eufy security cameras, as well as for a Raspberry Pi that controls my 3D printer, and they have been reliable and consistent, with good performance. In my experience the "High Endurance" cards are worth an extra few dollars over some of the cheaper cards. The photo shows one of the various outdoor cameras I use these cards in, and have never had any failures or issues despite being used between 100° F and 0° F at different times of the year.
I did not see any good benchmarks for this card online, I will put one in this review and one for the 32GB model also.Be aware that while this card is pretty fast, if you are looking for maximum throughput and/or IO you need to look elsewhere, there are several faster cards on the market but only one as of now that has a higher endurance rating on paper which is this card's primary feature. That and the 15 year warranty which is great but does require you to register to get it.I was told by WD support that these disks are MLC (2-Bit NAND), the guy barely spoke English but he insisted all SanDisk Max Endurance MicroSD cards are MLC.
I visited sandisk.com in order to find micro SD card with the highest endurance. This is not easy since you cannot use filters on specifications other than capacity.I found this ( https://www.westerndigital.com/products/memory-cards/sandisk-max-endurance-uhs-i-microsd ) to be 1 in 3 products that offers a specified "high endurance":According to the formentioned webpage, these cards promise to deliver up to 120.000 hours of operation. However. That's NOT true for all capacities in this lineup!I purchase the 128GB version and on the retail package it says. "Up to 60.000 hours".After looking into the datasheet, I find that it's only the 256GB version that has a lifetime of 120.000 hours. :/That's not what Sandisk tell customers visiting the main webpage for ... MoreI visited sandisk.com in order to find micro SD card with the highest endurance. I always appreciate the recommendations of the staff of B&H a company that I have been doing business for decades! I am a retired TV Network Prod. Mgr. with technical knowledge. I recently purchased a Dash Cam with a 16 GB card. I wanted a more durable 32 GB card and this one has performed beautifully. I have no doubt that it will withstand the interior car temp. range of my car. Thanks B&H.
This review is for the model Sandisk High Endurance 256 GB V30 MicroSD. I tested the card and got 97 MB/s read and 59 MB/s write speeds which are great for a V30 card. My High Endurance cards have yet to fail, even though some are 5-6 years old. I buy extras and swap them out on 4 month intervals, to give the cards a rest. I use this in a Garmin GPS Dashcam and Sandisk branded cards seem friendly with Garmin hardware, I have used brands other than Sandisk and Samsung and not always had results. Evidently constant writing to the card is a taxing task. The cards hold up well.
Bought this card to go with a new IP security camera. Hopefully the high endurance will give me at least a couple years of worry free service. So far after about two weeks it has been working just fine. The RescuePRO Deluxe software download activated but I have not had a need to try it out yet. Supposedly it has a one year license. If that is true then the software is pretty worthless to me because I have only needed that kind of software a few times in my life. Up to 20000 hours sounds like a lot except for something running 24/7/365 is 8760 hours a year.
