Received it.in good condition. Bubble wrapped and packaged well. This OTG needs connector/adapter for USB-C. I plugged and checked storage but was only 250GB instead of 256GB. Overall, right for my needs and I have no complaints. I will update my review after I tried this out for a few weeks.

This usb is now outdated with the micro-usb port which cannot be plug into modern day phone. However, back in the old days, it was super convenient to use this usb as I only have to store media in it and can be accessed on both laptop and phone. It also act as a storage for those phone that cannot be expanded with sd card. However, it's sliding mechanism is faulty and often cannot lock the port in place. So often you have to hold on to knob while plug it into laptop or phone so the port doesn't retract back into the usb.

A great tiny portable dual flash drive with a pretty decent capacity

A really awesome device that is portable, fast and useful both for your laptop and your cell phone. Its incredible how such a tiny little gadget (its actually much smaller than it may look in the pictures) is capable of storing a pretty decent amount of data! Its light-weight and so tiny its perfectly possible to attach it to your key ring, not even feel it and yet have it at your disposal all the time. The dual option to slide between USB and micro-USB is a great bonus, as is the free MemoryZone app. Ive tested it on my cell phone and it works great. The only potential drawback for somebody might be the slider and the key ring frame. I mean, I really like their functions and they even feel fairly durable. Clever design, but limited value

Let me start this by saying I personally liked the concept of the product but for me to use this product over my current setup (USB 3.0 drive and OTG adaptor) the regular USB connector should offer USB 3.0 speed. I tested this device on my Desktop pc, my laptop and my dell venue 8 pro tablet (which has the micro usb port). In terms of speed I was consistently getting ~12.0 MB/s across all three devices which is good for a USB 2.0 drive. I think this speed is good enough for the tablet because I am yet to see any table or phone that offers USB 3.0 speed but pretty much any desktop or laptop has a USB 3.0 port these days, so for this drive to just offer USB 2.0 speed, no matter how convenient it is does not quite make me buy this. Actually for less than the price this device is being offered ($xxxx at the time of writing this review) I could actually buy a 32GB USB 3.0 drive plus a USB OTG to USB 2.0 adaptor that could allow me to achieve USB 3.0 speeds on desktops/laptops and go back to USB 2.0 on tablets/phones. In fact this is what I currently do. I have USB OTG to USB 2.0 adaptor that allows me to connect all my usb devices (camera, gps, odb2 scanner, usb drives) to my tablet and achieving what this drive offers is just a matter of connecting a USB drive to the OTG adaptor. However this is not to say that this drive does not have value. First, in order for this drive to show some value, you must have a device that has micro usb port and supports OTG and second, unlike me, others may not want to carry an adaptor around and they may not use as many usb devices as I do on their tablets/phone so this could be a good device to transfer files between their pc and their tablets/phone. Also I could see people using it as media storage for their tablets/phones which for some could be a very useful feature.

I was able to get it in though, and I could easily solve this problem by shaving a tiny amount of plastic from my Otter Box case's opening. Speed-wise, I transferred just under 28GB of data from my PC to this unit in about 44 minutes and then copied it back to my PC in 26 minutes. This was slower than other drives in this market segment I have tested, but those were USB 3.0, so I assume the slower speed was because this drive is USB 2.0. However, under "normal" conditions I would never need to transfer that much data at once and so the speed probably wouldn't be too much of a deterrent. In the end, I give this drive 4 eggs. I deduct a half egg for the lack of a lanyard, and another half egg for the speed. Other than these two minor grievances, it is a nice, very portable solution made by a very reputable manufacturer who has been making flash memory solutions for as long as I can remember. When shopping for products like this, brand reliability is important to me, and I have never had a SanDisk memory product fail.

Good Points: The convenience of having a USB and a micro USB in a single device.Great capacity, loads of space for images, documents, music or filmsThe size of the device is good. I have bought tiny 'nubbin' USBs in the past and they can get lost so easily and sometimes difficult to remove from a tricky port. This stick is small but easily found in a bag, drawer, pocket, keyring or in the back of a device etc.The metal hook is convenient too.Improvement Points: It's not the most attractive USB stick I've ever seen - I have a lot prettier ones!! But it does everything that it needs to do.

Revival of the 'sneakernet,' nice device compatible with few. MUST be OTG capable

Convenient if you have the correct hardware, useless if you don't. Smartphones/Tablets have so many other better ways to share data: Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Cloud. I would have a hard time relying on this device, not so much it's shortcoming, but that of the limitations of the devices it's intended to be used for. I have a toolbag I carry when I travel: power, connectivity, storage.. this would not make it there because if I needed to rely on it I couldn't. I came by this honestly, there was an error in the first publication I read when I accquired it, afterwards I learned of it's limited compatibility with OTG. There is a loop in the top of the case to accomodate a lanyard/strap. I would not trust the durability of the loop in the plastic case to any sensitive or important irreplacable data. This drive isn't much bigger than a stick of gum, easily lost. This device protruding from the usb port on the phone seems to be begging for immenent expensive if not fatal disaster of the phone its connected to. 5 year Warranty is respectable and probably will be necessary given how delicate the usb connector sliding covers seem. On the flip side, the Micro-usb connector could be useful in situations where it IS compatible with a device bearing a Micro USB port in harmony with a device bearing a conventional USB port. Companion SanDisk Memory Zone app is a whopping 5.5Mb, installed size bloats to over 40Mb. The app is not required to use the Sandisk on Android, provides convenience for some less technically adept to manage files and space. Being USB 2.0 transfer speed on computer is acceptable, unfortunately I can't report for smartphone transfer speed. Made in China Difficult to open package.

Sandisk easy life!

Simply the best bit of useable Tech that I have purchased..Download the app and away you go, I didnt have to scroll through the app! It was so obvious and in plain easy to under language.Ideal for those of us who are less computer / smart phone savvy! Bung it on the end of your phone ,follow the instructions,disconnect,bung it onto your laptop upload, the end!

Useless

Can't get it to work. Will not create new folder. Tried manual backup, selected pics and films, and it brought me to the scandisk online shop. I have one plugged into the phone as I write this review. I do not want to buy another one. Taking back to shop for refund tomorrow. Spent an hour and a half on it so far. Do not buy.
